She'd not even been able to get three words in edgewise to her sister at the gather; the both of them had been torn different ways as soon as they had been given their pot of eggs. Elsi had yelled at Anri's back that she'd see her after the gather. After all, they were eventually going to the same place: the candidate's barracks. Still, Elsi couldn't help but find herself somewhat distracted the rest of the gather, anxiously awaiting the time that she'd get to see her sister again. What would they talk about? Technically they had -everything- to talk about, since it had been two turns since they'd seen one another. The messages she'd sent had taken a long time to get to her sister, and it was the same the other way around. Elsi was quite sure some of those letters had even gotten lost.

Elsi had skipped dinner that evening, having stuffed herself at the gather so fitfully that the thought of having another bite actually made her feel ill. Even the large box of klah and sugar flavored candies had been left mostly unscathed and left at the end of her bed. She'd moved her things next to what she was sure was Anri's bed, and set out the klah candies she knew Anri loved. Most of the female candidates had yet to return for the evening, which admittedly Elsi was grateful for. It meant she was left to her churning thoughts and now churning stomach. Urgh, she shouldn't have eaten so much at the gather, but her wherry portions had been so huge! There was no way she could let it go to waste…

She pat her swollen gut, heaving out a long sigh as she leaned against her cot's headboard. Full, but too anxious to sleep, Elsi merely lay her head back and closed her eyes, willing her heart to slow down. It was just her sister, right? So what if they hadn't seen each other in so long? Still, Anri had grown up -so- much.. what if she was a different person from what she had been?
