Pacing between the combatants was going nowhere, his adversary either too afraid for a complete confrontation or just exhibited enough common sense; both made the sociopath livid for the one dimensional tactics that only bore him. Improving his terminal velocity gave him a silver lining in his ploy, throwing his body in that lowered form with the intent to spear that nimble sword-swallower.

"No one likes a coward!"

He muffled in his treacherous charge, combining the initial speed from the steroid and scary momutum from his power to drive his form in the disappointing performance in bringing some entertainment to the crowd. Plowing his body into the sand with no coordination behind the maneuver, this would force him face first into the sand. His only saving grace was being the initial aggressor to avoid his obsession in cutting him in half as both would be in opposite corners once more. Did the freak want to ******** his internal organs or what? Regardless this was something to capitalize on, trying to rise with his body turned around.

Since the two fighters managed to switch their positioning, Umbra grabbed what was rightfully his, the sword he threw earlier. It was quite the convenient switch and attack, forcing his opponent in a direction he wanted and taking back his sword, so now Umbra was back to a weapon in each hand. It would make for another reckless charge quite unappealing, and the results would be equally if not more unappealing.

Returning his attention to the other fighter, noticing the use of 'coward' to describe him and use of tactics.

"Cowardice is clearly the wrong term for you to describe me. Am I not engaging you head on with your charges? Maybe I could appeal to you, would you happen to want me to fight in a different style? A kind of style that would fit a more brutish fighter like yourself? Perhaps brawl of fists? It would be semi entertaining at least."

Was he to lower his arms and ready his fists? Of course not, not yet at least. It would be stupid for anyone to give an advantage to his foe, Umbra has never linked fighting to be something of a sportsmanship game, even here in this tournament. Regardless of who the opponent was, this was clearly a cutthroat game, not some child's past time. Also fighting equally for sake of being equal was not something he was interested in either.

So instead, readying his weapons for to spill more blood. What most others would place their blades pointing straight at the heart of their foe, Umbra has both blades pointing directly to the sides, both level to the ground.

"If you insist on fighting on a more 'balanced' ground, then make me discard these swords. Make it so my blades will be useless to combat you."

Antagonistic words rolled off his tongue all nonchalant, motivating the sociopath further into making the swordsman bleed for his words. The entirety of the fight was a huge inconvenience for the sadist, dealing with a soldier who emulated those traditional warriors of legend with self-discipline; those were the buzzkill in his eyes. The simplistic, maybe barbaric fighters lacked the type of fundamentals that got them labeled brutes, yet one could admire the enthusiasm they demonstrated in combat whether it was for sport or for their life. Readjusting from his position, Darius's eyes were fit with malice and naturally lunacy. Umbra's dexterity was incredible and was adamant on the simple course of slicing him into pieces. Shame he wasn't more bloodthirsty.

“ We were borne naked, it seems you needed a crutch to show it where I only honed it.”

A little jab out of retaliation of his insult, this simply was blowing off stream and maybe fluster the sword wielder a tad bit. Arisen from that unpleasant meeting with the sand, it was time to entertain the crowd and see if he could succeed in that little proposition regarding those blades. Rushing straight for the prize which was his armed opponent, his right arm was cocked back with an obviously telegraphed motion behind it. Before he could enter his crosshairs completely, he leaped forward with expending some immense seismic energy to pound a few feet away. What came next was a powerful wave of sand propelling forward with the shock wave he emitted to either damage or hinder his opponent. Both arms would have done more for him, but the cooldown was not worth the risk in case he immediately countered. Oh he hoped he countered with that frightening grimace of his drawn, still reaping from the first wound.

"We were also born the power to use a brain."

Darius charging straight ahead was inevitable, he needed to be close and upfront to be personal with his fists, which he appeared to be quite fond of, especially the fighting style, and the blades which Umbra wielded prevented him from carelessly walking up. Yet the next move that was done, did come at a surprise, a technique that should have been foreseen somewhat earlier. Using the sand was a legitimate tactic, however non-damaging physically, mostly, but more importantly it was quite deadly in buying adequate time.

Quick thinking was the key to getting out of this ploy, and simply dodging wouldn't do justice. Others would consider just cutting their way through this, however that is quite improbable, and nothing would really happen. Charging at it seems quite dumb as well. And then there is the option of going with the flow.

Letting the shockwave hit, Umbra made himself feel weightless and the let the impact throw him even further away from Darius, and using his agility to land carefully on his feet with weapons still ready for another strike. This forcing the bruiser to continue to charge forward, and buying himself more time to react back, as taking the impact was not light, he could feel the impacts from the force and sand on his body, yet fortunately it appeared Darius did not use full strength for such an action, but clearly it would make the fighter much for irritated.

Aggravation summed up the style of Umbra, cherishing those straight forward brawls that forced one to utilize either physically superior actions or technique. All he was receiving was a game of cat or mouse with this foe, then going for the kill with each attack. Peculiar by all accounts, it brewed some malicious thoughts within him to contemplate insidious methods behind each move. Being perceived as some one-dimensional brute was just plain easier, preferring others to label and prove their mettle in a similar fashion. Having the distance close was a byproduct of his own accord, realizing it did no favors for Darius.

Reckless moves with too high of a risk were not viable options, keeping this a stand still in some regards. Lacking any true range attacks limited his options, something that seem almost the same for the swordsman too. Restlessness grew with the crowd, yearning for more moments of bloodshed or something significant. Pressure was looming from it, blood withdrew from his body thanks to that blade. Moving forward it was obvious he was getting irked, arms crossed in front of their upper-body area as he went ahead in an unconventional way of going back to basics with the front foot pivoted. Slowly reaching his foe, he would go the cerebral route of encircling his foe if allowed. Throwing a left jab while simultaneously rotating his body as the back foot swings behind you, it granted him the ability to pivot clock wise. The massive reach was a tool he acquaint Umbra with again, forcing him to counter, evade, or get hit while a few extra feet gave the appearance of an outboxer, yet in truth was infighting with that inhuman arm of his. He did not want to get hit with how many ways he had to hurt someone.
