The blue filly cantered away from where most of the herd seemed congregated, intending on having a bit of alone time away form the craziness that was her family. It was amazing some of them managed to keep their heads on straight, among all the power struggles and deceit. Not many, but some. Her and Cat, at least. And Taranis, she must not forget him. She would wager his father was the worst of the bunch. At least she hasn't yet heard of her family being quite so ambitious as to use their own children as pawns in the game for power. That still remained to be seen as they got older. If there was something they were needed for that could only be done as an adult.
Epi actually shuddered at the thought as she slowed to a halt. She didn't want to know what assistance she could be of fully grown. Didn't want to be of assistance. The family could suffer their ambitions on their own, without her help. If not for the ones she cared about back there, the temptation to keep going from here was great. Keep going and put the craziness behind her.
Nearby there was a puddle, just close enough the filly could see her green forelock dancing as she breathed hard after the run, her blue ears flicking all around her. Moving forward a few steps, she glanced at her reflection, turning her head one way than the next. Her colors were strange. Like something molding, the way the green was placed around the blue and orange. Not exactly matching, either, at least where Retina was concerned. But not ugly. Least she didn't think so. She rather liked the moldy look of it. Her legs was like fire, cleansing the body of mold.
Of course, no one else thought of it that way. Perhaps she should be a poet.
