He was not thinking to expect a smack on his toosh, so when the thwap came he jumped in surprise with a small yelp. He spun quickly and his eyes widened a little when he saw instead of the lovely Kishi a tree, "Kishi?" he asked as if to confirm this was actually her. With one hand rubbing his toosh he reached his other hand to try to poke the tree to see if he was imagining things or not.

She had to stifle her giggles, but it was hard. She stayed as still as she could, even resisting the urge to flinch at the poke. She'd see how far she could hold this up, to see what happened first: she burst out laughing or Gulliver put two and two together.

Gulliver quirked a brow and walked around the little tree, "odd" he murmurs and then looks away from the tree looking around himself. He didn't see her or anyone else for that matter. After a moment he refocuses on the little tree and walks around it again poking at it, he had a look of intense concentration and thought on his face. He'd never seen this little tree here in this clearing before, had Kishi made it? But if she had, where had she gone? He'd made about 4 trips around the tree before he questioned aloud in a slightly unsure voice "Kishi?"

"Last I checked, you don't have permission to be poking there," came the muffled voice of the tree. Which sounded suspiciously like a hidden Kishi. She thwapped him again on the head, this time letting him see her do it. She laughed and changed back into the pink striped Faunness. Gulliver can be dim sometimes, she thought (ironically).
Picking her pack and butterfly net back up off the path - trees can't wear backpacks - noticed a familiar scent. And color. She let her eyes survey the surrounding field and noticed they were the same exact flower that her secret admirer had given her.
"AHA!" she sprang to her feet and bounced as she pointed the wildflowers. "LOOK! We found my flower's homeland. Her family! They'll be so pleased to know their lil flower!daughter is safe, and has a magical twin now."
Kishi is not always as dim as she pretends to be.

"Ack!" he jumped being thwapped, and again when he got twapped a second time. He was still rubbing his head as she changed back to herself. "I'm gonna get you for that" he told her with a joking tone. He moved to tickle her as she noticed the flowers that surrounded them. He stopped short of her looking at what she was frantically and excitedly pointing at. "Yeah you found where they came from" he told her with a smile, "the only place that they grow I believe" he could be wrong on that one but to this day it was the only place he'd found that particular flower.

"You are a sissy if that hurt," Kishi laughed, returning the joke. She saw his fingers wiggle towards her so she twisted to dodge them, stopping when his attention was on the flowers too.
"Gulliver your sleuthing skills are amazing! I thought we were just going on a walk to find your lost thoughts and here we found where the flower my secret admirer got for me came from. Now we just follow the tracks back to the tree and see where they lead. Maybe he - or she - left some clues. Let's spread out and see what we can find."
She started wading through the field of flowers, gently touching each one in her path with the tips of her fingers. They were very pretty, and smelled nice too. The sun was nice and the breeze was just right. Kishi lost sight of her goal for just a moment as she closed her eyes and tipped her head back, soaking up the peaceful energy. The Earth spirit seemed happy today. The usually-timid little faunette whispered a prayer to the Earth that the chief would be having a good day too, and not be cranky. And that the weather would stay nice at least long enough for her walk home with Gulliver.
She turned towards her companion, and tucked a stray wisp of hair behind her ear. "I want to take one home. It would brighten up my nook and add a splash of color. I've been thinking about getting a pet, and this will do nicely." Kishi knelt down in the field and started digging through her pack to find some sort of container to bring back the flower.

He stuck his tongue out at her in a playful manner at her comment "never said it hurt" he said in jest.
Gulliver watched her look for clues, he watched her bask in the sunlight for a time. The sun was hitting her just right and he couldn't do much more then smile. He didn't move towards finding 'clues' instead when she started to dig through her bag he moved forward to the flowers and picked one. He left the stem about the same length as the previous two and chose one that was just as pretty as the previous and walked up behind her tucking the flower over her ear with the stray wisp of hair.

"Aww, Gulliver, that is so sweet of you." Kishi strained a smile when her ear flicked as she felt a thorn p***k. His intentions are sweet, she knew that, so she didn't want to embarrass him. He likely forgot about them anyway.
"Okay, I think this one right here." she removed a little garden shovel from her pack and started digging around the base of the small bush. The basket she'd packed wasn't big enough so she sat and thought for a moment. "I think I will have to come back better prepared. I don't have anything to put the plant in to carry it home." Kishi started pushing the dirt back around the base of the plant and apologized for disturbing it.
She stood up, flicked her tail a couple times and dusted the dirt off her butt before frowning at the field of flowers. A potted rose really would look nice in her nook. Add a splash of pink near the entrance.
She was just standing there, looking at the field of flowers when a bird flying overhead caught her attention. Her gaze followed his flight until she saw Laisidhiel in the distance. "Oh! This outing was for you! You had to do some stuff. I completely forgot!" She put her hand on her forehead and then lowered her head. "I'm so sorry! I should probably head home and catch up with you later after you've finished your task? I mean, I've already taken you off your path for my interests." She felt bad now, making this outing all about what she wanted.
"Here," she held out her hand, and there was a little lady bug exploring her fingers. "They are good luck. Make a wish!" And with that, she gently blew on the ladybug and it flew off and landed on Gulliver.

Gulliver smiled watching her, her actions gave him an idea after she gave up but he'd deal with it later. He heard her words and inwardly was disappointed "All right Kishi, shall I walk with you back to the Tree?", he wanted to see she was back safely. His detour in his scouting though she thought was he fault he was more then happy to do it. He hoped he had given her some clues to her secret admirer but they'd been somewhat subtle, the field, the flower behind her ear... He took the little ladybug on his finger and watched it crawl before making a wish and blowing on it to encourage it to head off into the flowers.

"Yeah, as long as you aren't shirking your duties, walk me home. Should almost be time for feast!" Kishi gave a wink to Gulliver and start wading through the flowers. Once she hit the path, she had a bit of a spring in her step.
"Gulliver, what do you see for your future?" She asked just out of the blue. Shicala We should probably wrap this up in a post or two so their timelines can catch up to the shop.

The captain of the rangers watched Kishi wade back through the flowers for a moment admiring her as he always did. He followed after her and hooked his thumbs into his belt to walk alongside her as they walked back towards the tree. "My future? Well I suppose that would depend if I can get the courage up to tell the pae of my dreams how I feel about them. I'll always be who I am, and still do my duty to the Tree of course, but one day I'd like to have a family, perhaps a son or daughter to call my own. It's all up in the air I guess" he didn't look at her as he answered her question, he just looked ahead of them and slightly skyward. If I could only get that courage though... he thought to himself.
Antidia oops guess I shoulda posted to this....

Kishi was quiet listening to Gulliver, watching him as he spoke. There was a bit of sadness in him. She felt a little bad for making him sad, so wanted to cheer him up. "Gulli, we'll find your girl! I promise. And you can have your family and kids!" She walked with a little spring in her step and patted him on the back. "Don't worry."
"Remember, I'm really good at sleuthing, and it will be fun investigating with you." She bumped his arm with her shoulder and smiled at him. If only she could see in to that mind of his, she'd know how to handle him. "The sun is low, let's head home. I'll treat you to some lemonade at the Leaky Acorn. Mojo adds a secret ingredient and it is deee-lish."Shicala Let's end it here, unless Gulliver gets up the guts to say anything. We can always start a new one that is a bit closer to the actual time line since this took place pre-explosion.
