I will admit I have never heard of Wedlocke before. But after watching the video, this makes the challenge even more challenge than the Nuzlocke challenge. sweatdrop I don't think I will be able to take that challenge.
But anyway, this looks intriguing and wish you the best of luck on this challenge.

I haven't abandoned my Heart Gold Wedlocke, but I am starting a Wedlocke Run on Pokemon X. This RNG is determining my starter. 1 being Chespin, 2 being Fennekin, 3 being Froakie. By getting 3 I got Froakie.
EXP Share will be on. It just makes things easier. If I run into a shiny I will be catching it, but only using it if it was the first encounter. Other than that all other rules apply. Hordes are not to be counted as an encounter.

X Wedlocke Part 1: Little Critters
So after I give Nick the 9 Pokemon I care about, since I haven't gotten poketranfer or pokebank, I start up a new game of Pokemon X. As you've seen in the RNG post I get a Froakie as a starter. It's a male and I name him Kyle (There is no theme to the naming here). The battle with Shawna almost goes badly because of a crit.
My Route 2 encounter is a female Fletchling to complete the pair. I nickname her Misa. Things are actually going very well.
The Santalune Forest gives me the first encounter I'm not a fan of a Male Scatterbug. I name him Rider. The road to Vivillion is going to be a rough one. The trainer with the Pikachu give me quite a scare with what I have on me at the time were 2 Pokemon weak to electric types and a weak little bug. Luckily, nothing went wrong with that battle.
Route 3 gives me the female to the 2nd pair Isara the Pidgey. Preparing for the first gym was making me wonder on who to use since both my pairs had something that was strong against bug types. I go with the team of Kyle and Misa since they are a little higher level.
The battle with Viola goes well with Misa until I screw up on the fact that she would drop a potion on Vivillion and Misa dies due to Infestation's between turns stuff. Kyle does come and clean things up.
Going to Route 4 I have to get a female pokemon to fill the void left by Misa's death. I find a female Combee, who I name Tira.
As I go back to Santalune City, I remember that I can go to route 22. My catch there for the start of the third pair is a Male Bunnelby who was going to be nicknamed Johnson, but I spelled out Jon and when I went to go back I pressed the enter button and not the delete button. So he is named Jon. Fun fact my friend Jon happened to be around when I did that and told me "You better not get me killed." I hope not either. I end this session with Rider evolving into a Spewpa
Current team:
Pair 1 Rider the Spewpa Level 9 (Male) Isara the Pidgey Level 11 (Female)
Pair 2 Tira the Combee Level 10 (Female) Kyle the Froakie Level 13 (Male)
Pair 3 Jon the Bunnelby Level 6 (Male)
Dead: Misa the Fletchling Lv 2-12 (Female)
Badge Count: 1

X Wedlocke Part 2: Ugh, I'm so Reckless!
Finishing up on Route 22 with the trainers to get some extra levels before heading back to Route 4. Nothing really seems to go wrong for the rest of the trip to Lumiose City. Rider evolved into Vivillon when I was done with this route.
I wasn't sure how well I was going to do against Sycamore and the Kanto starters I figured the team of Kyle and Tira could handle it. They did with ease actually. The RNG determined I was going to get Bulbasaur. I nickname it Jake, but because it was a male, standard Wedlocke rules states I have to box it. Nothing else of note here.
Route 5 is when things get really bad. My encounter is a female Pancham I give the name Chie. I got a little reckless with trainer battles and a trainer with a level 13 Kadabra (I call HAX) kills both Jon and Chie. I quickly left the Route after putting those two in the death box. I pull Jake from the box and hope he gets a good dance buddy.
The Pokeflute quest got underway on route 7. So I had to travel to route 6. My encounter was a female Oddish named Rose. It felt really weird having my pair be two grass/poison types, but I figured it would work out. Unfortunately, my misjudgment/recklessness strikes again in a double battle with 2 Furfrous who kill Jake and Rose, while giving Kyle and Tira a hard time despite the level gap. I get a bit upset that I lose Jake because of the fact that I love Bulbasaur.
After getting the PokeFlute, I run from the Snorlax fight and not count it as my Route 7 encounter. For Route 7 I get a yellow flower Flabebe, who I give the name Flora. The double battle with Trevor and Tierno go great.
Connecting Cave is where my last problem on this part arrives. I was looking for a male to be in the pair. I get about 3-5 encounters before I get my male encounter Axew. I catch it, but not before it kills Rider with Dragon Rage. With Rider now dead I have two females with out a male to pair up with. I give priority to Isara since she just lost her partner. I end my session after the catch of David and death boxing of Rider.
Current team:
Pair 1 David the Axew Level 13 (Male) Isara the Pidgetto Level 20 (Female)
Pair 2 Tira the Combee Level 19 (Female) Kyle the Frogadier Level 20 (Male)
Pair 3 Flora the Flabebe Level 14 (Female)
Death Count: 6
Misa the Fletchling Level 2-12 (Female) Jon the Bunnelby Level 5-11 (Male) Chie the Pancham Level 10-11 (Female) Jake the Bulbasaur Level 10-13 (Male) Rose the Oddish Level 10-12 (Female) Rider the Vivillon Level 3-18 (Male)
Badge Count: 1

X Wedlocke Part 3: A Rocky Course
I head off into Connecting Cave after doing the switch with Rider and David. There is only one trainer in Connecting Cave that I can battle. David does a good job of sweeping due to the fact that it's a team of level 12s and he has Dragon Rage.
Since I still needed a male Pokemon for Flora to complete my third set. I run into an Inkay, who kills David with Foul Play. This is a base 95 move before accounting STAB. A bit ironic in seeing that David who kills a Pokemon before getting caught, gets kill in trying to help catch a Pokemon. Since Isara lost another partner priority once again so she gets James the Inkay.
At Ambrette Town, I plan with the idea of what fossil Pokemon I wanted to revive up. I picked up the Rock Smash TM so I can try to find an Old Amber in Glittering Cave for Aerodactyl. I really like Aerodactyl, but I've never used it in the main story. Back-up plan was if I couldn't find an Old Amber was to grab the Jaw Fossil for Tyrunt.
On Route 9, once again needing a Male for Flora, I finally succeed with a male Sandile by the name of Ryden. Yay for not having a Pokemon killed while trying to catch another one. Nothing else really eventful on the route.
Glittering Cave's encounter is actually the first one where I'm getting stuff for PC stock. So Gender Clause is not in effect. I catch a female Machop (ew) named Mistel. I beat up the Flare goons (Let it be known I have never taken Team Flare seriously) and get the Jaw Fossil, which is great because I didn't find an Old Amber. When I get back to Ambrette Town I revive the Tyrunt and I nickname him Rex.
I continue back on Route 8 to make my way to Cyllage City. On the route since I figured the route would be full of water pokemon Flora would have a good time here knowing grass moves. Boy was I wrong. She had a hard time here. She did evolve into Floette but on her first battle after evolving, she dies and I end up panicking and hoping that Ryden doesn't die too. He doesn't which I'm glad.
Once I reach Cyllage City, I put Flora in the dead box and pick up Mistel. I go to Route 10 to do some training and leveling up for Grant for Mistel since I'm not sure if I wanted to use her or Kyle for the gym. My encounter for the route is a female Eevee named Liza. During the training on my route, Mistel dies. This death shocked me quite a bit as I make my way back to the Pokemon Center feeling kinda somber. I pick up Liza and make my way to the gym.
The gym despite being Rock type and I have Kyle who's a Water type, I have a few struggles. The Relacath that I ran into was the Pokemon giving me most problems. Grant himself was actually harder that I expected. I don't OHKO Amaura and I get Thunder Waved for my troubles. Bit of a note here don't start your fight with Grant with a grass type. Amaura is Ice/Rock. Tyrunt, being Rock/Dragon, takes Water Pulse at normal damage. I still have to do some healing to beat him, but I do. Right after being Grant, I teach Ryden Rock Tomb.
At this point now I'm at levels where I feel like any pair can do trainer battles. So Route 10 is for the weakest of the pairs. The pair of Liza and Ryden do all the work on the route and I make it to Geosenge Town. I loop around to activate the grunt running off to no where so I can get the first Korrina fight. Despite having a 3-4 level advantage Isara was having a hard time with the Lucarios because the best thing I could do was Gust. I had Featherdance help keep the Lucarios' attack down. I end my session after this fight.
Current team:
Pair 1 James the Inkay Level 25 (Male) Isara the Pidgetto Level 29 (Female)
Pair 2 Tira the Vespiquen Level 28 (Female) Kyle the Frogadier Level 29 (Male)
Pair 3 Ryden the Sandile Level 27 (Male) Liza the Eevee Level 24 (Female)
Death Count: 9
Misa the Fletchling Level 2-12 (Female) Jon the Bunnelby Level 5-11 (Male) Chie the Pancham Level 10-11 (Female) Jake the Bulbasaur Level 10-13 (Male) Rose the Oddish Level 10-12 (Female) Rider the Vivillon Level 3-18 (Male) David the Axew Level 13-14 (Male) Flora the Floette Level 13-19 (Female) Mistel the Machop Level 16-19 (Female)

X Wedlocke Part 4: Two for the Price of One
After beating Korrina, I head off to Route 11 where I catch Mika the Chingling. Unfortunatly, right after that a battle girl comes walks up and spots me. I was unprepared with Liza and Ryden up front and they die to a Mienfoo. I wanted to punch the battle girl in the face. After going back and picking up both Rex and Mika to make a new team. I really thought things were going to get better. Of course not.
Glittering cave gave me so many problems. I lose James in the cave and I almost run out of Super Potions before I get to Shalour City. I get a female Woobat before I lose James. Her name is Mimi.
It a good thing I got a chance to rearrange things before my rival fight with Calem. I thought it was Korrina Gym fight before I fight Calem. Nope it's the other way around. Seeing as how his whole team is weak to bug, Tira had no problems sweeping that team.
I go to Route 12 to get a partner for Isara, again. I get a Slowpoke named Bob.I then head off to the gym. I had to decide if I wanted to use the team of Tira and Kyle or I wanted to use the newly caught Bob and Isara. I went with Bob and Isara because fighting types can sometimes pack rock moves, which Tira has a 4x weakness, while Isara only has a 2x weakness to rock. Add that to the fact that I have both Pokemon in the pair that can beat fighting types. Flying press counts as a fighting and a flying move so Tira would take it at neutral and not a 1/4 damage.
Korrina herself wasn't too bad. Hawlucha actually took some time, but after some Featherdances Isara did some good work. Bob also did a great job with the first two Pokemon she had. This is not the end with her. I go up to the top of the Tower of Mastery for a Lucario vs Lucario fight. I win, even if I lost the Lucario would not be considered dead, and I get Nick the Lucario.
I head off back to Route 12 and in the middle of the route, lose Mika. I'm not to fond of Chingling so I wasn't too upset.
At Coumarine City, I take on Calem again. Since is team is the same as before, Tira takes care of him with no problems. Tira is going to be the main focus for this gym since she takes 1/4 damage from grass. I get her to level 37 so she knows Air Slash before the gym to make things easier.
Ramos came in swinging with Jumpluff. It knows Acrobatics which was hitting Tira a little hard, but she got through it ok and I got Ramos to waste his two Hyper Potions on it. Gogoat was actually not that hard to beat because of Air Slash. Tira soloed the gym to give me badge number 4.
This is where I end the session, but I'm dreading the next gym because it's Clemont and electric types. 5/6 of the current team is weak to electric moves. Rex being part dragon resists it. I'm going to have to feed him some levels to have a chance against him. I need to be very careful on how I use Rex for the next bit and even then Clemont is going to be a challenge if the teams stay the way they are.
Current team:
Pair 1 Bob the Slowpoke Level 32 (Male) Isara the Pidgeot Level 38 (Female)
Pair 2 Tira the Vespiquen Level 38 (Female) Kyle the Greninja Level 37 (Male)
Pair 3 Rex the Tyrunt Level 31 (Male) Mimi the Woobat Level 25 (Female)
Death Count: 13
Misa the Fletchling Level 2-12 (Female) Jon the Bunnelby Level 5-11 (Male) Chie the Pancham Level 10-11 (Female) Jake the Bulbasaur Level 10-13 (Male) Rose the Oddish Level 10-12 (Female) Rider the Vivillon Level 3-18 (Male) David the Axew Level 13-14 (Male) Flora the Floette Level 13-19 (Female) Mistel the Machop Level 16-19 (Female) Liza the Eevee Level 20-24 (Female) Ryden the Sandile Level 17-27 (Male) James the Inkay Level 14-29 (Male) Mika the Chingling Level 21-29 (Female)

X Wedlocke Part 5: A Massacre
(I really don't feel the best writing this part so please excuse me)
Route 13 gave me a Dugtrio by the name of Wendy. The power plant went smooth. Very smooth actually.
I almost lost the run due to Clemont and that gym of his! I lose the team of Rex and Mimi while getting to Clemont. I pick up Nick and Wendy to hope I can do something. The battle against him is a massacre. I lose Nick, Wendy, Kyle, and Tira. I almost lose Bob as well, but he lived with only 3 hp to a Thunderbolt from Heliolisk. So after the battle I'm left with just Isara and Bob. That's all I have.
Route 14, I forget that there is a rival battle with Calem here. I get through it fine. My encounter for the route is a female Weepinbell named Dana.
Laverre gym is actually my favorite gym in terms of how it looks. I also really love Valerie's outfit. Isara and Bob take care of things, but it wasn't easy.
The Pokeball factory had me worried the whole time because I knew that there was a Manetric trainer somewhere in there. Unfortunately it was the double battle against Celosia and Bryony. I lose Isara in this battle. I finish this session getting a pokemon on route 15. Sue the Mightyena.
Current team:
Pair 1 Bob the Slowbro Level 43 (Male) Dana the Weepinbell Level 36 (Female)
Pair 2 Sue the Mightyena Level 36 (Female)
Death Count: 20
Misa the Fletchling Level 2-12 (Female) Jon the Bunnelby Level 5-11 (Male) Chie the Pancham Level 10-11 (Female) Jake the Bulbasaur Level 10-13 (Male) Rose the Oddish Level 10-12 (Female) Rider the Vivillon Level 3-18 (Male) David the Axew Level 13-14 (Male) Flora the Floette Level 13-19 (Female) Mistel the Machop Level 16-19 (Female) Liza the Eevee Level 20-24 (Female) Ryden the Sandile Level 17-27 (Male) James the Inkay Level 14-29 (Male) Mika the Chingling Level 21-29 (Female) Rex the Tyrunt Level 20-35 (Male) Mimi the Woobat Level 21-30 (Female) Nick the Lucario Level 32-32 (Male) Wendy the Dugtrio Level 26-26 (Female) Tira the Vespiquen Level 6-42 (Female) Kyle the Greninja Level 5-41 (Male) Isara the Pidgeot Level 4-46 (Female)

X Wedlocke Part 6: All Good Things Must Come to an End
This part is actually a very short one. Route 15 goes ok, A small scare here and there, but no deaths.
Frost Cavern however, is where things go south. I catch a male Piloswine named Seth to be with Sue. That's the only really good note of this bit. Dana dies to a Marowak using Thrash. The next battle I do is rough, but I do ok. Then a double battle ended up with the death of Sue. This means I'm left with 2 lone wolf males. I can't switch between them at all because of Wedlocke rules.
I then battle a trainer who starts off with a Scraggy. For those who don't know, this Pokemon is a Fighting/Dark type. Both my Pokemon have a weakness to it. I was in a very bad situation. Bob did ok due to have a high defense stat, but then dies to a crit Faint Attack. Moxie kicks in for the attack boost and I know this run is over. Seth couldn't live a Hi Jump Kick. I ran out of Pokemon to use so the run is over.
Notes: 1. I'll admit that the constriction of Pokemon working in pairs is much harder than you think.
2. I think the battle with Clemont was probably the sign that the run might end before beating it. I couldn't recover from the massive death.
3. I'm sometimes reckless when it comes to playing Pokemon.
Final Death Count: 24
Misa the Fletchling Level 2-12 (Female) Jon the Bunnelby Level 5-11 (Male) Chie the Pancham Level 10-11 (Female) Jake the Bulbasaur Level 10-13 (Male) Rose the Oddish Level 10-12 (Female) Rider the Vivillon Level 3-18 (Male) David the Axew Level 13-14 (Male) Flora the Floette Level 13-19 (Female) Mistel the Machop Level 16-19 (Female) Liza the Eevee Level 20-24 (Female) Ryden the Sandile Level 17-27 (Male) James the Inkay Level 14-29 (Male) Mika the Chingling Level 21-29 (Female) Rex the Tyrunt Level 20-35 (Male) Mimi the Woobat Level 21-30 (Female) Nick the Lucario Level 32-32 (Male) Wendy the Dugtrio Level 26-26 (Female) Tira the Vespiquen Level 6-42 (Female) Kyle the Greninja Level 5-41 (Male) Isara the Pidgeot Level 4-46 (Female) Dana the Victreebell Level 31-39 (Female) Sue the Mightyena Level 36-39(Female) Bob the Slowbro Level 25-47 (Male) Seth the Piloswine Level 39-40 (Male)
