User ImageOcie stretched, enjoying a rare free moment to himself. Such a thing hadn't been thought of since Twinkle had told him she was pregnant. The thought made him laugh, he was actually out on his own again for the first time in seasons! The sprite ran his fingers over the scars on his torso, remembering what the happiness that he'd been enjoying had cost him. A mere flesh wound wasn't going to deter him from enjoying what he'd been given. Seeing that his children were growing up rather healthy was all that he wanted.

At least, until he realized that one of them was developing differently. Poor Flutter, she hadn't inherited his wings and she was turning out different from her siblings. The sprite couldn't help but feel like it was his fault. But then, he knew it wasn't any use to torture himself over it. Flutter was going to develop as she was going to regardless of his worrying.

The sprite had gotten so caught up in his thoughts, he'd managed to get himself a decent ways into the forest without really paying attention to where he was going. He sighed when he realized this. It was going to take him a minute to get back.

User ImageThe teenager grinned, he was getting along on his quest quite nicely. There was still a bit to go, but he felt confident enough that he would manage it soon enough. Right now he was looking to find a few of those savages who didn't believe in The Guardians. He'd been wandering the woods around the isle for what seemed like forever. It was about time for him to start heading back when he spotted something fluttering just off in the distance. Fluttering? It must have been a fae, but those didn't look like any faery wings he'd seen.

Harveer frowned, picking up speed to follow whatever it was fluttering out there. He might just get lucky and find a heathen, or a new species of fae. It would be good to find one of those, make sure whatever it was would follow The Guardians. Harveer might even catch a certain teen's eye by doing that. Golden eyes blinked, shaking that thought from his mind. She had no interest in him, there was no way she could. They were supposed to be focused on their tasks, not feelings for one another.

Ocie sighed, looking around him once again. There was no reason he should be out here. He really wanted to be back at the beach so he didn't need this cup and water bladder of his. He'd only recently remembered he had it and started carrying it. It really was a life saver, but he preferred the real thing over this. The real thing was a lot less hassle when it came to memory. But then, this was good in it's own way too. A special gift just for him.

"I can't believe I managed to get lost outside my own house." He grumped, finally setting down on the ground. Of course he didn't have the legs hidden within for it to do anything, Ocie wound up literally sitting on the ground with his tail and fins curled up beneath him. Which reminded him to be careful with his fins. They were delicate little things, he didn't want to run around with holes and rips in it.

The sprite glanced around again, trying to make sure he was safe, and quite possibly entirely alone. And that was about the time he spotted the pale figure off in the distance. It seemed larger than one of his children, but not as stocky or faun like. His head tilted, looking at the pale one. Ocie wasn't sure what to think and remained exactly where he was. Thank the waters the light was out.

Harveer pressed onward, trying to reach the creature before it fled from him forever. And then it sat down. He blinked, pausing as it looked his way. Clearly a male, Harveer was still quite confused as to what it was. Was this some sort of terrible creation or was it entirely new? The teen couldn't see legs at all, but that could just be how the pae in front of him was sitting.

Forcing himself to smile, Harveer walked up to the pae, trying to be friendly. There was no reason to scare it off, and even more so if this was one of those heathens.

"Hello there~" He sounded as cheery as possible, trying his hardest not to be scary.

Ocie exhaled, seeing a teen angel walk up to him. There wasn't any harm in a teen angel was there? The sprite relaxed a little, leaning back into the tree. He wasn't nearly as tense as he had been before, but then, he wasn't as wary of the teen as he had been before that. And then the teen was talking to him. The adult sighed, leaning forward once more to gaze at the pale one.

"Hi?" Ocie frowned, red eyes looking the teen up and down. No, it was just about clear the other meant no harm, but that meant little when Ocie wasn't certain where he was or if either of his daughters were near. Surely his son could take care of himself if the need arose for it. But Ocie would be certain to protect all of them with his life if needed. "Can I help you with anything?"

Harveer rubbed his neck, realizing just how wary of him this other pae was. Best just to be quick and ask the other pae about what he was in need of rather than to beat around the bush. Hopefully this wouldn't come to a direct confrontation. The teen really wanted to avoid that sort of thing. It wasn't exactly fun when he wasn't allowed to try all out.

"I'm looking for something, can you help me find it?" Harveer asked, first wanting to know if he could even get the help he needed.

Ocie frowned, eyes glowing a bit with the motion. He really didn't want to, but something about the kid just made him know he needed to help. Reminded him of his own children. "I guess. What are you looking for?" The sprite asked, figuring there was no way he'd be able to help find anything if he didn't know what it was.

Victory was in sight! Harveer bit back the smile, "I'm looking for a bit of... Protection." He rubbed his neck wondering if this creature of a pae had any idea what he'd be talking about. "I need to find a naiad, you know one of those fish pae'il?" He offered a little more, hoping that this pae might know at least something about it!

"Sure, I can help with that." This was sounding like something Ocie could do for certain. He did know plenty of naiad, and he himself was aligned with the waters. "What help are you needing from a naiad?" The sprite asked, not yet flopping out his fins to show him that he was just a strange looking naiad. Or was he something else entirely? Ocie really had no idea.

"I've been told they have protection from the waters?" He prodded, wondering if this strange pae might even know what he was talking about. Heck, Harveer barely knew what he was talking about half the time. But then, he'd been given an extensive education and was heartily encouraged to ask as many questions as he possibly could. And that did wind up meaning quite a bit when it came to knowing why some things were the way they were. Of course, that didn't always mean he knew what was going on.

"Do you happen to have any idea what that might be?" The teen asked, putting aside any and all thoughts of anything but the water protection he was seeking.

Water protection? Ocie frowned a bit, wondering what it was the angel was talking about. But then, he could simply explain it by stretching out his fins, or getting up. That was a good solution. "I'm not sure what you mean by protection, but naiads do have some things given to them because of the waters." The adult offered, finally just uncurling his tail and fin.

"Why do you need protection?" He asked a floored Harveer.

Harveer tried not to gape, open mouthed or not. This was one strange looking naiad! Guardians what had they done? Were they experimenting now to create abominations like him? The teen was utterly floored, there couldn't be any reason for a creature like this to go on living could there? Surely someone would have had pity to end this pae's miserable life! Guardian blessed life or otherwise, this was simply atrocious! The teen was having a terrible time trying to get on track again.

"Oh.. Um... Can I just have your cup?" He'd lost all pretenses, forgetting entirely that he really had been trying to be polite.

Ocie sighed, having a feeling he knew what was going on inside the kid's head. "You can have it if you promise to stop staring at me like I'm some sort of freak." The adult glared. With the glowing red eyes it wasn't hard to make him look as evil as his mother was crazy. She was utterly insane and not fit to raise children, but there was no way he was nearly as evil, crazy, or just plan intelligent as she was. Then again, Ocie had to give himself some credit. Not just anyone could get away from a lunatic like her and live to tell the tale.

"Really?" Harveer jumped, instantly looking away from the adult who was now glaring at him. There was something going on behind those eyes that Harveer couldn't quite place, but then again, he was just trying not to put the abomination out of his misery. "That'd be great!" Harveer's face was instantly one of an apologetic nature rather than the one of straight up pity it had been before.

Ocie sighed, reaching around to where he was sitting on the ground to grab the cup and the water pouch he had. He did try and carry them with him most of the time. It really didn't do much for him unless he tried to go for a long time without hydrating himself. Like more than a few hours. "Here. Just take it." He all but threw it to the teenager. He would have to go the waters and explain what had happened. It was going to be kind of embarrassing, but it was better than getting stared at like he shouldn't even be allowed to roam the isle.

Harveer gasped, scrambling to catch the cup. He managed to get the water bladder as well. The teen felt so very accomplished with that he couldn't help but smile. "Thank you Sir!" He grinned, holding them close to his chest. He had a long way to go, but now he was almost finished! Harveer couldn't help but be excited about what he'd accomplished. And all in the name of The Guardians!

The teen glanced back up at the abomination, and then down to the treasure. And back to the abomination. "Igottagobye!" He rushed, turning tail and running. Harveer didn't want to be anywhere near the abomination longer than he had to.
