'Come on Cole, you're just being paranoid' Cole told himself as he leaned against the corner on the street. The man across the way had been reading the same newspaper page for almost 5 minutes. It made Cole suspicious. But hey, the guy could just be a slow reader. Cole was just on edge. This was his first big drug deal. Sure he'd dealt a bit of weed. But weed was easy to move, the easiest of most drugs. But this was ecstasy, he was high strung. If Cole messed this up he was in deep s**t, if he succeeded, he would create a nice little life for himself in the Marionettes, one of the biggest gangs in the city.
"You Cole?" A voice came out of nowhere making the man jump. He turned to see another. The guy looked normal enough. Dressed casually with a camera case attached to his side. "Yeah.." Cole confirmed his identity. "Give me the cash" the man demanded in a hushed tone. Cole scoffed "You think this is my first day, show me the stuff" He whispered. The man smirked "You aren't as stupid as you look"
"thanks, I pride myself on that" Cole rolled his eyes.
The man opened the camera case to reveal an actual camera. He lifted it up, along with a fake bottom to the bag to show the stuff. "There, happy? Now give me the-" The man's eyes widened as he looked past Cole. He turned and ran, camera case in hand. "Hey! What the-" Cole turned to see the very man he'd suspected throwing the newspaper aside. On his chest was a badge. "s**t!"
Cole didn't wait for the man to pull his gun, he took off down the street, going the opposite way of the man. "Freeze" the cop yelled at him "Like hell" Cole uttered to himself, speeding up even.

`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´Annabeth Rose Macey `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´  "Anna, i'm here! Sorry I'm late" a brunette named Jane said as she came running in. Anna, who was behind the counter, shushed her. This was, after all, a library. Giving a nod to her hyper friend she quietly began gathering her things. "It's fine, I mean all you did was make me miss my date with a hot guy." She rolled her eyes and grinned as Jane stuck her tongue out at her. They were always like this with each other; teasing,sarcastic and sometimes mean but all in good fun. All in love. Standing, the 5'5 red head bid her friend farewell and left the library walking down the street. She could hear police sirens going off everywhere, one car even going past her. She sighed, shaking her head. 'What is wrong with the world?' she thought as she continued to walk. This place she lived in always had some sort of drama going on and she was thankful she was not part of it. She tended to stay to herself and live quietly and peacefully. With that thought in mind, she went down a different street than she usually took, planning on walking around all the noise. Little did she know that it was a mistake. Little did she know her life was about to change.

The wailing sound of police sirens came from the street ahead of him. In this city, there was no telling if it was for him or not. Sirens were too common in the city. Cole stopped a moment only to hear footsteps of the running cop. He turned down an alley and cut through there, turning left to take off when 'wham' he crashed head on into somebody, toppling them both to the ground. "Ow..." Cole uttered under his breath, his fall was kind've broken though, he looked down and his eyes widened.
Underneath him, was a stunning redhead. She looked jumbled up. Cole was pretty good with the ladies himself. But he'd always had a thing for redheads. Cole shook his head though, remembering the cop, he got up off her, not bothering to help her up when he heard. "D-don't move" The panting cop had caught up with him, now pointing a gun at Cole. Cole's eyes widened. How was he supposed to get out of this. He could only think of one thing, looked like he was going to help the girl up after all.
Reaching under her arms, Cole quickly pulled the petite girl to her feet in front of him. Before she could move he wrapped an arm around her shoulders. His other hand went into his pocket and pulled out a stiletto. He clicked the button and the blade popped out, he held it to her throat. "Sorry" he uttered in her ear, keeping his head very close to hers and all but shielding himself with her body. At 5'11 he was crouched a bit but it didn't matter. "You shoot me, you shoot her" he informed the cop. "You let us go, or I'll slit her throat right now" he commanded.

She gave a small groan after she had fallen and opened her eyes to see that it wasn't something. It was a someone, a man in fact. Her stuff had fallen next to her and she opened her mouth to say something but before she could, he got up off of her. He said or did nothing to her and looked like he was about to run off. A cop appeared behind him telling him to stop. Next thing she knew, she was lifted to her feet and a knife was placed at her throat. Her eyes widened as he practically breathed in her ear as he spoke. The cop in front of them look angered and worried. "Now now son, let's not do anything hasty" he said calmly to the guy. He looked towards her and asked if she was alright. 'No I am not alright, I'm being held at knifepoint' she thought sarcastically. She did not say it out loud as she knew she was just nervous a bit scared and her adrenaline was pumping. So she nodded, making sure the knife didn't cut her. The cop addressed the person behind her "Now, we don't need to bring her into this. Let her go please and no one will-" suddenly a few shot rang out. Anna cried out as the officer fell down, blood seeping out of his leg and shoulders. "Let's go!" a man yelled out from a black car. Anna could not move, and only stared on in horror. Fear of being shot herself seeped into her and she began struggling to get away. (Ooc: Snuck a post in for you ^^)

As Cole suspected, the cop's entire tune changed once he had a hostage. He told him not to do anything hasty. Cole rolled his eyes "You're the one with the gun. This is your decision not mine, put it down, or it's her blood on your hands" In truth. The thought of killing this girl right here made him sick. She hadn't done anything, she might've been on her way home or to work and just happened to take the wrong street. Cole didn't mind killing druggies or other gang members. But when the person didn't deserve to die he had a problem. The cop started to plead with him, saying there was no reason for her to be brought into this 'she's already in this dumbass' Cole thought.
The cop didn't get to finish his plea. 4 gunshots rang out and the cop went down. Cole's hostage screamed, almost deafening Cole. His grip tightened on her shoulder and he pulled her back along with him, afraid it might be somebody from an opposing gang or some sort of riot breaking out. Instead he heard a familiar voice call from a black car saying lets go. 'Tanner you sneaky son of a b***h' Cole thought. He released the red head and took a step towards the car, but he stopped. He looked at her. She was staring, a look of horror plastered to her face. He was nervous now. She'd seen his face and now Tanners. And Tanner had just shot, possibly killed a cop. If she identified them they would be in prison for a long long time. Maybe worse, Cole had heard stories of what cops did when you killed one of their own.
Cole bit his lip and looked back to the car, then to the girl. "We don't have all ******** day, grab her and let's go!" Tanner yelled. Cole didn't need to be told again. He wrapped both arms around the girl and picked her up, she was lighter than he'd thought she'd be. Tanner opened the door and Cole had to shove her into the car before it sped off. Cole sat next to the girl as Tanner quickly locked the doors, this was a special car. Used by their gang in many grab and goes and interrogations. The locks could only be worked from the front, she wasn't getting out.
"s**t man, did you have to shoot him?"
"You mean thank's for saving my a**?"
"I had it under control"
"Why don't you ask ginger over there if she thought you had it under control"
"Screw you!"
"What are you going to do with her now?"
"What do you mean?"
"We can't just send her back, you know that right"
Cole was silent, he didn't know what to do. He looked over at the girl again.
