Jyael

Jyael continued making his way around to all of the eggs, waiting for their responses, or until the egg seemed too crowded, before moving on to the next. He touched each in turn, admiring them all, except for the Gold. He couldn't remember if boys were allowed to touch the Gold egg or not but he didn't want to risk it.

At the Wicked egg he admired it's strange patterning and color. Such a unique and lovely egg. He was anxious to see what dragon could come from such a bold egg.

Then over to the Scaled egg. The boy was taken in by it's texture and found himself running his fingers over the shell a few times before trying to make a real connection with the dragon inside.

The Forest egg had an interesting pattern as well but it seemed to be hiding in the sand and behind it's fellow clutchmates the gold and scaled eggs. Jyael reached out, trying to determing what type of presence the egg held within.

When he made his way to the Shooting Star egg Jyael rested his hand on the extremely smooth and slippery surface. This egg was quite a stunner and by it's size and warmth he felt that the dragon hiding inside of it might make quite the entrance on Hatching day.

When Jyael touched the rippled shell of the Ocean egg and felt it's presence he sent forward a questioning prod. Why was it so cautious? Was there something wrong with him that the other eggs hadn't noticed? Wait... please don't go. He still had questions for the dragon inside.

Realizing that he wasn't going to get anything else from the ocean egg Jyael moved to the last egg of the clutch that he could see. Placing a hand on the gritty shell he waited. The egg didn't seem very sure of itself and it almost mimicked how Jyael felt after interacting with the Ocean egg. The boy tried to reassure the dragon inside the egg that he didn't think it was horrible, and that no matter what anyone else said he had faith in it. After all, lots of other people told him he was no good too but here he was, at his first touching.
