 It had been quite some time since Flora had socialized with anyone or anything. At best she had hung around her mother, but even then it was silent get togethers of awkwardness. It wasn't like they connected to well ever since the family had gone their own ways. Now a days she tended to spend time by herself. She mostly spent it in the forest in isolation. Like her mom she had lost control of her power to control vines and it almost killed a child when she was just reaching her adult stage.
Flora was out and about walking hoping something would be different about today, but so far nothing was. Maybe things would eventually turn up for the better for her. The stream echoed through her ears as she sat down to admire it's beauty. She had also packed herself a couple small snacks of fruit, but nothing to fancy.

 Yaozu was surprised to see the female sitting at his favorite spot at the stream. He shrugged. It didn't matter to him. He didn't own the stream, and even ift he did, he wouldn't hide it away from another.
"It is beautiful, isn't it? I often come to sit here. I find the sound of the water running over the rocks to be peaceful. Is that what drew you to this place today?" The blue demon sat down a few feet from the female, breathing in and out in a steady, deep rhythm; soaking up the calming atmosphere that the stream provided..

Flora was lost in thought for so long that when Yaozu talked to her she jumped a bit. "Oh...yes it is rather lovely." She looked back towards the stream. "Actually I tend to come here or just walks through the woods by myself. Sometimes with my mother, but our family is a little distant at the moment." She then looked back towards Yaozu. "Do you have a family?"
Normally Flora was quite shy, but the fact that another demon pony had approached her, not minded her company, or scared her off made her feel a bit more at ease. She looked him up and down trying to figure out if she had seen him before here, but it never crossed her memory.

Yaozu's friendly smile lit up his face. "I am afraid that I don't have a family. But I don't let it bother me so much. I cannot miss what I have never had." He settled himself into a more comfortable sitting position. "I take it that you miss yours?"

Flora cocked her head to the side wondering how someone couldn't have a family, but she didn't press into the matter. "I guess that makes sense." When he had mentioned about missing hers she slightly paused. "Actually in a way yes, but at least I got my mom close by. She's really strong and brave. She puts up with a lot too. She used to be such a depressing pony, but once she found a mate she changed since she realized that the pony wasn't afraid of who or what she was."
Flora paused for a second before continuing her rambling. "You see me and my mom are demons of nature. Our power comes from the ability to make things grow, however if not kept under control it can pose a threat, especially considering we could actually kill someone unintentionally from too much power, in fact my mom has already suffered that. Me...." She cut herself off for a second wondering if she should continue or if this was annoying to him. "Well actually I'm sorry if I'm sounding selfish rambling on like this. I guess when you're chased from your home so often and you find a possible friendly face it's almost hard not to keep quiet or..." She trailed off again before nodding her head. "Although if I sound selfish and annoying I'll shut up."

"My dear, nothing could be further from the truth." He turned so that he was facing Flora, "You are not boring me or sounding selfish. We all need an ear to listen to us and a shoulder to lean on now and again. I would love to listen to you."
Yaozu smiled again and motioned with his hoof, "Come now, continue. I wish to hear the rest."

Flora nodded her head. "Ok..." She was trying to remember where she had left off. It took her a while, but when she remembered it made her look sad. "I...I accidentally ripped a ponies leg off." She looked like she wanted to cry. "It wasn't intentional. I was told to show off my abilities and I lost control. The more I struggled the tighter the vines get." Some vines started to grow around her hooves, but she held them back.
She took a deep breath in then out. "I've gotten better, but when I was a bit younger I wasn't so good so now others label me as a monster or one who needs to be chased away. I could probably kill them but senseless violence solves nothing."

Yaozu rested a hoof on hers. "My poor dear. Such struggles you have had to live with. But mistakes are mistakes. I do not see a monster when I look at you. You mustn't see it either." His eyes reflected sadness. "When you were asked to show off your abilities, that pony took a risk as well. Risks are risks for a reason. That one is just as responsible as you." He wasn't afraid of the vines around her. She needed a friend. He wasn't about to let her go without one.

Flora was surprised that he didn't scold her for being so selfish and explaining everything she said. It gave her comfort knowing someone actually cared besides just her family. "I see. When you put it like that it seems fairly reasonable." She shut her eyes for a moment calming herself down. After a couple moments of silence she opened them again and then looked back at Yaozu. "So tell me, do you have any friends or ponies you talk to? Or are you lonely too?"
