The hair of the head captain could be equated somewhat to the color of especially dark chocolate. In color, her hair is an extremely dark brown which looks almost black at a distance. However, Lihua's hair is not only like chocolate in appearance, but furthermore in texture. Similar to the sweet dessert, Lihua's hair is silky to the touch, and has a certain sort of glossy radiance. When the light hits Lihua's hair, it is much more evident that her hair is brown instead of black, as the smooth hair reflects light to give her head a sort of shimmering effect during daylight. Though not especially noticeable, Lihua's hair is a distinct feature to those viewing her in a fairly subtle way. While they might not explicitly notice her hair, one cannot deny that her hair is quite beautiful, and thus catches people's attention without drawing too much attention away from other aspects of her appearance and personality.
☯|Character Hair Length/ Style|
Lihua's hair is fairly long, stretching about half way down her back. Aside from a quick layer of long bangs in the front of her hair, Lihua's hairstyle is fairly plain. While walking around her squad quarters, she puts little to no effort into styling it, and simply allows it to hang down her back. However, when she is working - whether that is working on paper work, attending a meeting, or fighting - Lihua pulls her hair to one side and uses a quick ribbon to tie it as so. This successfully keeps the hair out of her face at a moment's notice, while also being comfortable enough for long term wear. However, at festivals and other fancier events, Lihua typically spends more time on her hair. On these occasions, she will put much more effort into tying her hair up and pinning it back. Sometimes, she will additionally wear ornaments in her hair, however usually it appears as a fairly basic Chinese bun.
☯|Character Eye Color|:
Her eyes are a warm, chestnut brown color. While her eyes, like her hair, is not particularly striking, her eyes do give off a sort of friendly demeanor. The middle of the color of the eye appears almost like a golden brown, while the color gets darker closer to the iris. The edges of the color of the eye is also a dark brown, though his brown is slightly lighter than the inner brown of the eyes and appears almost to be a fall orange/brown mixture of color. Additionally, the whites of Lihua's eyes are a very prominent white which further contrasts her eye color, except for when Lihua is particularly sleep deprived, at which case her eyes will have red bolts along the edges and dark circles beneath the eyes, much like a corpse. However, more often than not, Lihua's eyes are a fairly simple addition to the rest of her appearance.

The Commander is built rather thin and lean. Some might classify her build as "frail," though this would be seen as quite disrespectful to say to her face. Instead, her build can be classified as petite. She has little to no real muscle mass and is not very tall, thus providing a great juxtaposition to some of the taller captains in her divisions. While wearing her Shinigami uniform, one would notice that she has very little built muscle in her neck, making the top part of the uniform sometimes fall down her equally thin shoulder to reveal her prominent collarbones (she always quickly pulls the sleeve back up and looks rather embarrassed). The sleeve of her uniform hides a slim arm, though her soft thin hands and small wrist can be seen from beneath which often contrasts against the larger sword wielded by Shinigami. If one were to see her skin beneath her Shinigami uniform, they would see that she has no scars: her skin is clear and soft, with no sign that she was anything close to the leader of a prominent military organization.
☯|Character Attire|:
Like all captains, Lihua wears the traditional black kimono with a captain's haori. Her own haori is long-sleeved, with a soft lilac interior lining. The uniform is fairly large on the small captain, though she stubbornly refuses to wear anything in a size that fits, as she has convinced herself that this is the proper size of a uniform for her to wear. This is the outfit in which she can typically be seen, however in formal occasions Lihua will swallow her pride and wear a more feminine and fitted traditional Chinese outfit. This outfit is usually long and flowing in hues of pink and lilac, often with the sleeves detached or the outer layer worn lower, thereby revealing the slimness that the head captain is so self-conscious about.

☯|Zanpakutō Name|: Hǎiyáng Hè (海洋鹤)
☯|Zanpakutō Name Meaning|: Marine Crane
☯|Zanpakutō Spirit Appearance|:
Hǎiyáng Hè appears as just what the name might suggest, a typical looking crane. In the Zanpakuto's inner world, there is no evidence that Hǎiyáng Hè is at all related to any sort of method of fighting. Instead, the world inside the Zanpakuto is a beach, where the crane sits and stares over the ocean. By nature, the Zanpakuto is inclined towards peace, however it bears the power necessary to have peace through destroying all in its path with the massive power of water and the spiritual energy of a Shinigami as powerful as the head captain.
☯|Zanpakutō Sealed Form|:
The Zanpakuto in its sealed stated takes the form of a Chinese folding umbrella with the umbrella portion taking the appearance of a circular design with a crane on it. Though at a glance the Zanpakuto appears docile, in combat Lihua can use her reiatsu to dissipate the umbrella exterior, making the blade take the form of a blue katana with the design of a crane on the hilt of the blade.

☯|Zanpakutō Shikai Activation Statement|: "Drown them in the endless ocean, Hǎiyáng Hè."
☯|Zanpakutō Shikai Appearance|: When the Shikai is released, Lihua opens her umbrella, which shifts into a disk of water. The rest of the umbrella becomes a bracelet which attaches onto Lihua's right hand. Through the attaching of this part of the Zanpakuto to Lihua's wrist, she can successfully control the water's form through a manipulation of the air with her right hand. At a glance, this does not appear to be a significant change. The disk of water is approximately seven feet in diameter and about a foot thick. However, during the Shikai Lihua can change this into any different form, so long as it maintains a 12.25π (~39) cubic feet volume.
