Okay, I felt the urge to make this because I'm not sure if people know the time frame of this guild. That's fine. Me, personally, it bothers me. Please, I don't want anyone to take offence to this I just want an understanding, that is all. Anyway, I'll break is down really simply.

The anime AoT/SnK starts in 845. It is literally the first bit of information in the very being of the anime. In the manga as well. Now granted that I haven't ready the manga yet only the first two characters, I'm sure they both maintain the same time frame. Specifically, 845 A.D. if we want to get technical. 845 A.D. is the Middle Ages, meaning certain things did not exist. We will come back to this previous statement in a moment.

The anime skips five years ahead, 850 A.D., after Eren's group is done with training and all that jazz. After the fight with Annie, I still believe it is the same year. Ultimately, this series place in or around the 1500's, during Renaissance era. The way the wealth dress in Wall Sina is an example of this and the way the commoners dress as well.

This guild should essentially take place in 870 or 880 A.D. if its a few years after the groups death. Now because neither the anime or manga had ended yet were kind of left stranded. We have no idea what happened to Eren of the others, maybe they lived a long and prosperous life or were devoured by the Titans. I'm sure the time frame of this guild would change if we knew.

Oh yes, something else I forgot to mention, according to a user named Eric on Anime.stackexchange.com, he states, "With this in mind, it is highly unlikely that it is in Japan or even nearby (though the location is also unstated). However, seeing how many names are European (Jaegar is German for "hunter", Armin is the German variant of Herman, meaning "soldier", and so on), it's most likely that the story takes place in Germany, or at least in Europe, where the remaining survivors of the Titan catastrophe are now cornered." I believe this because the names don't sound remotely Japanese expect maybe Mikasa. Plus Japanese culture, setting, architecture, and fashion differ from the AoT/Snk setting.

Anyway, the real reason I posted all this information is because I been noticing things here and there that aren't suppose to be within the time frame. Let's take the Bath House for instance (Located in the Inner District of Wall Sina). I'm going to be realistic here. Back in the middle ages when one wanted to bath in a local facility, they went BUTT NAKED! Yes, possibly they used transparent cloths to cloth themselves, but being naked in front of people was a natural thing. Woman and men basically threw themselves at one another and underage marriages, 12 to 15, were in fact approved of. The means of light were by fire or fire lit lanterns. Carriages were the main transportation as well as boats.

Also in the ballroom, the fashion wear wasn't casual were like we use today. I will post pictures of what men and woman dressed like in this time period.

I'm not really going to get into technology because it is a completely different subject. However, I will get to writing information on it if anyone needs it. I hope this form serves as informational and please don't hesitate to ask questions.

Weaponry

I'm doing to talk about weapons in the AoT/SnK universe that coexist within this time frame. Again, the year is in the 1500s and the 3DMG is a little advanced for the time period, but it is a fabricated weapon for the show after all. Let me start with the biggest piece of equipment used in the anime, cannons.

What a surprise, cannon were first invented in Europe around the 14th century. Gunpowder for said device was created by Chinese Taoist alchemist in 156-87 B.C. and of course trades to the Europeans decades later. Cannons are a realist weapon for this time frame and the anime has integrated it very well. Catapults have yet to remain unseen, however, they would fit into the time period too.

Next, I'll move onto Three-Dimensional Maneuver Gear. Obviously, fabricated for the anime like all great animes. The intricate belts strapped to every soldier and trainee hold different parts of the gear. The side hostlers hold the handles that activate the wires in the handles from the back canister. A secured back belt holds the canister neatly in place and this controls the amount of gas that it released. Fans inside the circular object, propel the velocity of the gas depending on the pressure applied. I assume the iron wire with a javelin attached to the end extends to 20 to 30 feet at the most. It also depends what height the soldier is at when the wires are launched. Lastly, the Sheath's on the side hold the double edged blades in slots and the gas cans sit on top of the box shape compartment. The main out for this invention is gas, but of course, we all know that this device does not exist within the 1500s.

Just a mention, the gates and other larger spectacles source could either be coal or a seriously ridiculous amount of gas.

Knifes and only pacific firearms were used in the anime. In one episode, in the underground equipment holding facilities the 104th squad used guns to subdue the titans for a short amount of time before switching to the gear. Same is used for cannons. The most used gun is the flare gun to signal squads that split into separate groups on certain missions.

One other weapon is the wall of iron wire javelins. The weapons is to secure titans for examination needs. As for anime time period standards these all fit well within the time frame the 1500s.
