Ronin had been minding his own bussiness--as much as he ever minded his own bussiness--when he'd been promptly chased into a hole in the ground. A literal, freaking hole in the ground. There was no chance at climbing up, the cave had been kind of sealed off.
How the heck was he going to get out of here? Who would come looking? He kicked a rock in fury.

Medusa let out a wail of frustration. This stupid MAN had not been chased AWAY from her pit, but TOWARDS IT. and not just towards it, INTO IT.
She made a mental note to reboot that stone gryphon doorkeeper. Good help was so hard to make these days...
"What's wroooong?" crooned Boris. "Just kill him in the pit!"
"No, you IDIOT!," snapped Stephanie. "That's the pit where the potions take their effects, it has a good moonview. If we crush him, we'll crush all those potions..."
"And all the gold we'll be paid for them?" replied Gloria nastily. "You are so selfish and greedy."
"But he needs to be removed," hissed Boris.
"I don't doubt it," piped Des. "He's probably a hero to kill us, look at his white skin."
"SILENCE!" shouted Medusa. The water pool she looked into rippled with the force of it and the image she saw rippled also. "I will," she said to herself, thinking out loud, "open... a door into the main tunnel... and then..." She smirked evilly.
Julius cackled with glee. "The lower dungeon!" he cried with excitement. "The lower dungeon, please say yes, he'll never survive, and I am so bored, it will be so fun!"
Medusa glanced at Julius and then she slowly nodded.
