Bloodlines and Clans

Bloodlines, also know as Kekkei Genkai, are the abilities passed down from parent to child. These genetic inheritances grant the ninja unique abilities and physical traits not found anywhere else in the world.

Clans are those who bear unusual abilities similar to kekkei genkai, but these abilities are merely secret techniques handed down by the family.

[Note: Most or All Bloodlines and clans will undergo revamps, anything we intend to give an especially heavy overhaul may not have any abilities at this time.]

Change Log:

Sharingan:

-removed EMS for obvious reasons. If we did keep it, it will need heavy revamp.

-Removed required element of Fire, as well as all ties to Katon in the BL. Sharingan is plenty on its own.

-removed the "do not fret you can still be Uchiha" line, as Uchiha is/was being created as a pseudo clan.

-Gave them reaction time boosts. This replaces the messy "read movements" ability which was very vague

-Changed ability to see chakra color, to generally seeing their chakra aura. Which would allow them to get an idea of a persons chakra supply. I say we let them have this at LEAST until we get a proper look. Its suitably nerfed right now that this isnt too big a boost.

-Genjutsu immunity replaced with Genjutsu resistance boosts.

-Sharingan cannot copy elements that you do not own

Kansatsuryoku:

  • Grammar edits all around.
  • Simplified the rules. A lot.
  • Made "Rest" make sense. It actually didn't before.
  • Made it possible to actually get the bloodline. (In what life or death situation is X ray vision going to help?
  • Added one jutsu to final stage, with edits discussed a long time ago in PM with Luo.

Byakugan:

removed Neo byakugan for obvious reasons
made Byakugan more defined, rather than "The distance and the degree of telescopic sight varies from person to person"
Removed large chunks of irrelevant information such as Hinata seeing Amaterasu from 10 meters.
removed gentle fist section completely, that belongs with the proper style. also it says "there is no defense" against it.

surprisingly there wasnt much to do as the bloodline was never anywhere near finished to begin with. no wonder noone took it.

Mokuton:

-Original change log lost, ak i can remember was I removed all chakra supression jutsu including anti demon jutsu


Chakra Mouths: No longer available

Hyoton:

-removed stage two, will discuss stage 2 jutsu seperately
-made fire a weakness and removed any reference to fire resistance
-removed automatic ability to do hyoton jutsu with only one hand
-removed vague "high chakra consumption" weakness
-removed blizzard jutsu, it would require heavy editing, and thats not what this is about
-removed blue flame, ice dome, Deaths Icy Grip, and "Secert" Art: one million needles of death they areunlikely to become usable even after editing

Looking at Hyotons Stage one jutsu:
-removed Glacier image technique, it is a Kawarimi knockoff
-raised rank for Cold Breeze Technique
-removed glacier bunshin, it had an indefinite durability allowing it to take more than two solid hits before breaking. This is not a new concept, and doesnt really fit the bloodline
-removed ice sphere, you throw a handful of water at someone and completely encase them in ice to the point that they could suffocate. Seems poorly written.
-remove ice swallow technique, creates undefined number of ice projectiles with undefined maneuverability all under the users power.
-Same thing except above the target, and it is written so that the target isnt ALLOWED to notice the jutsu.
-removed akookori, this is a medical technique and is out of place for the bloodline. Also its an instacure to all poisons while giving you a weapon. Could be done, if edited, but as is cannot be used.
-removed Glacier Shadow, poorly written and semi ripoff of another clans signature jutsu
-removed glacier storm, it creates a blizzard made up of senbon sized ice chunks which can shred anyone caught inside instantly. You tell me what the problem is.
-removed improved ice armor, grants powerful defense boost with zero downsides. Needs to be rewritten.
-removed Forever Zero, easiest reason is because it requires opponents permission to use. More detail, it allows you to destroy anything encased in ice, limbs included.
-removed Devil Clone thing, you can summon a devil clone the size of a large summon with very high power and defense. Its basically a free summon
-removed Glacier Shot "can only be used twice per thread". Its also forbidden for use against your friends? Why would they need to make that a rule? it fires two projectiles of undefined size, which can rip through steel like tissue paper, and in the off chance it doesnt kill you instantly it will incase you in an unbreakable tomb of ice.
-kept demonic ice mirrors but removed immunity to fire. The cost of the jutsu, as well as how easy it is to avoid, means I dont mind letting it stick around.
-removed Zero wave, creates a giant ice wave which can easily defeat a ninja army. Anything caught in it is frozen. If somnething like this is allowed, it would need serious discussion beforehand.
-removed Lightning Ice. Its a lightning jutsu if anything, it launches a kunai past the speed of sound for four miles. anything caught in its path "will be most unfortunate".
-Removed Zero Clone, Shadow clone except anything that touches it is frozen instantly. This would be SS jutsu.


Kaguya: Nothing is currently usable, added to "planned bloodlines" list. Existing jutsu are not actually jutsu, and are incredibly vague.

Tendril: Removed, I remember someone making a list of usable jutsu for this bl, but after some thought I think we should first discuss whether we want this bloodline at all.

Hatake:
-removed Head clan weapon, it was basically forcing people to carry a poorly defined weapon from a canon which no longer fits POTs.
-removed clan jutsu, it is poorly defined when compared with the current setup. Also it really should just be its own jutsu rather than a supplementary one.

removed minds eye, if we keep it it will need heavy modification

removed Ranmaru, i really dont think this bloodline should exist, but even if we kept it it would need very heavy modification to be workable.

Sharingan

Description
The Sharingan (写輪眼, Sharingan literally "Copy Wheel Eye," English manga "Mirror Wheel Eye") is an eye technique (瞳術, dōjutsu?) that naturally occurs in a select few members of the Uchiha clan. The Sharingan is thought to be descended from the Byakugan, but grants the user different abilities and a different insight. The Sharingan does not automatically appear from birth in a user; instead, it will usually appear when the user is in a life-threatening situation,
where the power of the Sharingan could save them. After this first appearance, the user can then call up the Sharingan any time they wish. The power of the Sharingan is judged through the number of tomoe in the eye, with a maximum of three in each.

Rules
• Users must train to gain tomoes in their eye
• Can read movements, the more tomoes, the easier it is to read movements. But just because you can read them doesn't always mean yo can keep up
• Sharingan slots may be limited
• When activating sharingan, you use more chakra. -1 chakra point for every post activated. If its a transplant, it takes twice the amount of chakra to use it, and twice the amount of chakra to utilize its techniques

Jutsu Copying Information
• Until user gains two tomoes, they cannot copy jutsu
• Demon, Bloodline or Clan only techniques can never be copied
• To copy jutsu, one must roll the dice. If results is 4 or 6, you copied successfully
• The sharingan can copy any jutsus of an element you can use naturally

Description/History
When and where the Kansatsu clan first originated is shrouded in mystery since no actual documentation for this clan was ever conceived. But from what has been passed on by word of mouth, this clan, for as long as anyone can remember, has been a nomadic tribe wandering from town to town avoiding any specific contact with anything associated with ninja. It is said that the founder of the tribe was a person gifted with the natural ability to detect heat signatures and sound waves as well as being able to catch glimpses into the past and future. Because of his amazing natural abilities, he was taken away from his friends and family and asked to do many dangerous tasks under the will of a selfish tyrant ruler. Seeing how his abilities were misused and his will was consistently being oppressed, the man snuck away from the lord's castle during a lunar eclipse and ran as far away as possible.

Knowing that there was a chance for the Lord to come after him as well as others wanting to use his abilities for evil, the man began living as a wandering hermit doing little things here and there to gain money while avoiding unwanted attention. It was during his travels that the man gained several followers, one of which he eventually married. The tribe continued to expand over the years and as different people with natural abilities to see wavelengths integrated into the tribe, the bloodline eventually developed into what it is today.

Though most members still keep to the tradition of their clan leading nomadic lives, several members have begun to question their ways and left to seek out for a different way to live. The people who tend to seek out members of this clan whenever they appear in town are the people hoping to get their fortunes told or in the rarer of cases, to track someone down.

Benefits & Penalties

❶ Regular relaxation of the mind, such as meditation or yoga, is required.
❷ Only one sight can be active at a time.
❸ The user's eyes change color according to which sight is currently active.
❹ Doujutsu techniques do not require handseals or incantations. All other jutsu do.
❺ Constantly shifting sights, or keeping sights active too long, can cause temporary blindness due to the mind's inability to keep up. (A shift is counted when changing from normal vision to a special vision, or from one special vision to another. Changing to normal vision does not count as a shift.)

Limitations: After a set number of “Shifts”, or a certain period of keeping a special vision active, the user must deactivate their vision and rest, or risk blindness. Resting vision takes twice as long as the vision was active to complete. If active for one post, the user must rest for two. Utilizing special techniques such as meditation reduces that to an equal rate. If you have used your maximum safe posts, you cannot activate a sight until fully rested. Shifts are not reset or reduced until the user is fully rested.

E & D Ranks: Can handle up to five vision shifts before requiring rest. Vision can last up to five posts before requiring rest.
C Ranks: Can handle up to eight vision shifts before requiring rest. Vision can last up to ten posts before requiring rest.
B & A Ranks: Can handle up to twelve vision shifts before requiring rest. Vision can last up to fifteen posts before requiring rest.
S Ranks: Can handle up to fifteen vision shifts before requiring rest. Vision can last up to twenty posts before requiring rest.

Overuse Penalty: Vision can last up to a maximum of five posts beyond the safe limit. For every post beyond that limit however, the user will suffer five posts of complete blindness after the vision is deactivated. It is however impossible to shift to a new special vision after reaching the maximum number of shifts without rest.

X-Ray Vision


Description: The user has just recently awakened their Kekkai Genkai and is starting the basic training on how to use their special ability. Still new to this, the user has yet to develop the sense/skill necessary to detect long wavelengths but the user does have the natural ability to hear high frequencies allowing them to easily detect the high pitched frequency and short wavelengths of X-ray radiation. While in this stage, the user's eye-color will turn a jade green indicating that this stage of the Kekkai Genkai is currently being used and the user's vision is able to penetrate the surface of objects/things such as human skin, allowing them to see what's inside (human bone). This ability only allows the user to see through an inch or two, much like a true X-ray.

To Obtain:

❶ The user must face a situation of high stress in which improved vision would be beneficial in some way.
Or
❷ The user must spend ten or more posts in mediation (At once or at different times.) despite having full chakra at the time.

Prerequisites: X-ray Vision must be active.
Description:
The user is able to focus their vision to detect very small objects, enhancing them under their eyes, allowing them to see things at a nearly microscopic level. This effect ranges up to a 40X Zoom.

Ultraviolet Vision


Description: This is the second stage of the Kansatsuryoku, which grants the user the ability to see things in ultraviolet. At this stage, the user's ability to detect wavelengths have increased allowing the user to pick up on the long wavelengths of ultraviolet radiation. When activated, the user's eyes will turn violet and the user will seen everything in a screen of violet thus toning down the brightness and damage of certain things such as flash bombs. Using this stage of vision, the user will be able to detect objects normally unseen, such as bodily fluids, sweat, blood, and otherwise which have long since become invisible to normal eyesight.

To Obtain:

❶ Must have trained in using X-Ray Vision for more than fifteen posts.

Kuroi Ten [Black Spot]

Type: Ninjutsu | Supplementary
Description:
The user is able to create a chakra mark which can only be seen under black light or Ultraviolet Vision. Said mark is permanent, and cannot be removed by anyone but the user. The mark can be placed on any object or person with a mere touch. Said mark has no ill effects. This jutsu can be taught to non bloodline members, so long as it is taught by a member of the bloodline, with the proper stage unlocked.

Prerequisites: Ultraviolet Vision must be active.
Description:
Using this ability, the user will be able to identify the chemical structure and makeup of many objects, allowing them to know exactly what it is as well as find out specific information on any special abilities/construction of the item. The user must have previous relevant knowledge and experience for the latter effect to work.

Infrared Vision


Description: At this point in time, the user has developed a good control over their ability and is able to move onto the next step which is infrared vision. Infrared radiation has longer wavelengths than ultraviolet radiation but a lower frequency. During activation, the user's eyes will turn an amber color and by absorbing chakra to bend the visible spectrum of light, the user can now see clearer the left over heat impressions made by people as well as their heat signatures. Their vision then turns into a set color palette of dark indigo to white representing the different body temperature radiating off the things in the user's sight. This gives the user the ability to see heat signatures through walls, the ground, and other solid objects to lock onto those who may be hiding.

To Obtain:

❶ Must have trained in using X-Ray Vision for more than thirty posts.
❷ Must have trained in using Ultraviolet Vision for more than fifteen posts.

Range: 15 Feet
Prerequisites: Infrared Vision must be active.
Description:
By focusing and enhancing their sight, the user is able to pick up not only immediate heat signatures, but residual heat signatures as well. Residual heat is left behind wherever a person has recently passed by, and can last as much as a few hours after the heat source is gone. This jutsu can be used to both track these residual signatures to their source, and determine how long it has been since they were left.

Description:
Through their knowledge of heat signatures, the user is able to suppress their own, masking it with chakra in order to appear invisible to any method of detecting heat.

Visions of Time


Description: The user has finally reached the point in their training where they have fully mastered the basic 'sights' given by their bloodline. Having trained their mind and hearing to the max, the user now must go beyond that for this last and final stage of the Kansatsuryoku. At this stage, the user has finally awakened the ability to spot the long wavelengths created by radio waves and detect chakra imprints between all of the visual spectrum allowing them bend the radio waves / chakra imprints to create flashes of imagery projected on objects.

To Obtain:

❶ Must be at least a Jounin to achieve this level of sight.
❷ Must have trained in using X-Ray Vision for more than 45 posts.
❸ Must have trained in using Ultraviolet Vision for more than thirty posts.
❹ Must have trained in using Infrared Vision for more than fifteen posts.

Type: Doujutsu | Supplementary
Range: 6 Feet
Prerequisites: Visions of Time must be active
Description:
The user releases their chakra into the air in a specific area, merging the chakra with chakra and sound wave imprints in the chosen area. The airborne chakra then becomes visible and/or audible, as the user desires, creating an afterimage of events within a specific time in the past, chosen by the user. These afterimages can be seen and heard by others in the area, as they are created from the user's chakra.
The cost of the jutsu varies according to how far back the user goes.
E-rank cost = up to 3 posts back [Fifteen Minutes]
D-rank cost = up to 6 posts back [Thirty Minutes]
C-rank cost = up to 9 posts back [Forty Five Minutes]
B-rank cost = up to 12 posts back [One Hour]
A-rank cost = up to 15 posts back [Two Hours]
S-rank cost = up to 20 posts back [Four Hours]
Each post back counts as one post of using the doujutsu.

Sangai Bunshin [Past Clone]
Rank: A
Type: Ninjutsu | Supplementary
Range: 15 Feet
Prerequisites: Psychometry, Visions of Time must be active
Description:
Like Psychometry, the user floods their chakra into an imprint, recreating a person or object from the past. However, in this usage only one object is recreated rather than an area, and furthermore, the chakra construct is solid. As with Psychometry the object or person will still only repeat what they had already done, and cannot be manipulated in any way. The object itself is as strong as the rank of chakra put into it, and will completely block any strike weaker than itself, while being destroyed by any stronger. The jutsu can cost anywhere from E to S rank, but can only be used up to your own rank. Because the object has already been found with Psychometry, there is no additional cost in chakra or sight besides creating the construct. A construct can be revived from any time period, so long as the user has seen it before. All constructs must be of actual historical events in the guild.

Byakugan
All-seeing, Chakra Point, White Eye

Description
The Byakugan (白眼; Viz "Evil Eye" or "All Seeing White Eye"; Literally meaning "White Eye") is Dōjutsu Kekkei Genkai, a genetic trait that is shared amongst the members of the Hyuga Clan. Those that inherit the blood of this clan have almost featureless white eyes (Neji's and Hinata's eyes seem to have tints of lavender and blue-grey, respectively). Although it is not stated directly, it is assumed that all members of the Hyuga family possess the Byakugan. It is a common, although unproven, belief that the Sharingan is a genetic offshoot of the Byakugan. Just like the Sharingan, the Byakugan can also be transplanted into another person.

The Byakugan is the primary focus of the Hyuga's special arts. When the Byakugan is activated, their pupils become more distinct, and the veins near their temples bulge.

The first ability of the Byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra. The second ability is having the ability to see through solid objects, and can use a degree of telescopic sight. Allowing the user to see up to 50 meters away


Rules
• -1 chakra point for every post activated.
• Able to see all around the user, but there is a blind spot, difficult to locate
• Able to see chakra points, as rank increases, the more clear and easier it is to see and strike chakra points
• Must be a user of taijutsu user, allowed to use ninjutsu and genjutsu, but hyugas are primarily taijutsu users
• Transplants cost twice the amount of chakra to use techniques, but byakugan transplants are able to be deactivated.

Mokuton: Wood Release


    Clan Head: Unclaimed

    Mokuton users have the ability to blend earth (Doton) and water (Suiton), to create and manipulate wood and other simple organics (Plantlife) to a lesser extent. Wood masters often thrive in support roles, due to flexibility and resilience of it's separate elements. he jutsu tend to take longer to form than other jutsu, as it must be grown rather than simply drawn like other elements. Fire and lightning are very effective against mokuton structures due to it's inherent flammability.

    Rules:
    1. Must have Mokuton, Doton or Suiton as elements, the order they are obtained does not matter.
    4. Bloodline element must be activated before use regardless of the rank. This can be done by finding a bloodline member to train you. OR A situation of high stress in which the bloodline is either the best, or only, method of removing the cause of said stress, it can be released in one violent jutsu in self defense. This can only occur once and results in loss of consciousness.
    5. Jutsu one increment rank slower than other Ninjutsu.
    6. Fire is treated as one rank stronger against Mokuton

    History: The Mokuton Bloodline started and ended with the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju. With his death the bloodline ended, until Orochimaru managed to get some of his cells and duplicate them. Thousands of failed experiments and attempts to duplicate the bloodline failed before the birth of the shinobi Yamato of Konoha whose real name was lost to history.
    Due to it's unorthodox birth, the bloodline never formed the same rigid Clan structure used by other bloodlines such as the Uchiha and Hyuuga. Instead it's users spread and formed their own family names and ties, even moving beyond Konoha and to the other great villages. Due to the bloodline's lack of structure, users often appear seemingly at random across the country and it has become rare to find many users in any one place. However in recent times some families have chosen to reclaim the Senju surname in an attempt to tie themselves back to the "God of Shinobi" himself, and original bloodline bearer Hashirama.

This allows them to bend branches or move sharp vines to clear a path, conceal themselves or even help set up basic traps.

Haku's kekkei genkai, Ice Release (Hyōton; "Haku's Secret Arts of Water", "Ice Style") allowed him to combine wind and water-based chakra to create ice which he could manipulate through willpower alone. Using his special ability, Haku developed the Demonic Ice Crystal Mirrors, which allowed him to create any number of mirrors made of ice to use as a shield or trap an opponent.

Requirements- Must have both Water and Wind Elements, to make Ice.

The very foundation upon which all of Yukigakures Ninjutsu is based upon. By using chakra to manipulate water, a Snow-nin is able to freeze an available water source which can then be used for Ice or Snow based Ninjutsu. Snow ninja are able to use this ability to freeze moisture found within the enviroment in order to create ice in any situation as long as moisture is present. This jutsu is required for the rest of the techniques in this tree.

A jutsu that is the most well known jutsu in all of Yukigakure and Hidden Snow itself. By forcing chakra onto the their feet, the shinobi is able to walk atop of snow with ease and move around on Ice with no problem whatsoever.

Koori Waku No Jutsu [Ice Slide Technique]

Description:
A useful technique for dodging or maneuvering around upon the battlefield. As long as their is a small amount of water located near or around the users feet they are able to force chakra through their feet and instantly freeze the moisture and use it as a slide of sorts. This technique makes the water stretch out and create ice for the user to slide upon as long as their is sufficient amount of moisture. This jutsu can be used to avoid oncoming techniques and attacks, or just for moving quicker than one is normally able to run.

Shikki Kansei No Jutsu [Moisture Trap Technique]

Description:
A jutsu that can be used in a variety of situations. By manipulating some sort of moisture [Whether that be spit, water, etc] by focusing chakra into it before it is thrown, the user is able to make the moisture freeze upon contact with human skin. This jutsu is mostly used to trap an opponent or his body parts in a shell of ice. The ice can be broken by most regular means but can be very annoying to deal with when multiple portions of the opponent are frozen.

Description:
Forcing chakra into ice the user is able to carve the ice into any item they can think of making. The only restriction of this jutsu is that they must have an equal amount of ice in order to carve out the item/weapon they wish to create.

Retsu Kaze No Jutsu [Cold Breeze Technique]

Description:
By using a source of water and throwing it into the air [or just the moisture in the air itself if Jounin+] the user is able to force the moisture to spin around and form a very cold and harsh breeze to swirl around the user, extending forth from the user for about twenty feet. This wind seems to bite the skin and if one is not used to a very cold climate, they could find themselves in trouble. The particles of ice within the air also tear at exposed skin, causing minor cuts.

Hyouga Kassha No Jutsu [Glacier Block Technique]

Description:
By freezing a moderate amount of ice the user is able to create a ten foot tall and ten feet wide block of ice. The block by itself is very hard and can withstand various attacks. By using the small amount of wet ice near the bottom of the block the user is able to move the block towards the enemy or position it so that it can withstand a fair amount of damage.

Hyougai no Jutsu (Frozen Armor)

Description:
By covering their entire body in moisture the user is able to freeze this moisture to the point where it becomes extremely hard but somewhat flexible armor. This armor can withstand up to three attacks that are Genin level and only one Chuunin level attack. While the body looks encased in hard ice, the user is able to move around and perform feats like he would normally be able too regardless of how the ice looks. Katons instantly disperse this armor upon contact.

Koori Chiyu No Jutsu [Ice Healing Technique]

Description:
A very helpful jutsu when a shinobi has been injured and has no other way to close off a wound. By using moisture in the nearby area the user is able to place this moisture over a bleeding and wound and cause the ice to seal itself over the injury. This will stop the bloodflow from a wound and thus create a bandage of ice that is entirely flexible. This is not a permanent healing, but it is quite usefull when one is in danger of losing a substantial amount of blood.

Makyou Hyoushou (Demonic Ice Crystal Mirrors)

Description:
The user can create a dome of twenty-one mirrors made out of ice to trap an opponent. Twelve remain at ground level, eight are placed above the first twelve and angled toward the ground, and the final mirror is above the rest and facing the ground. The user can then enter one of the mirrors and instantly transport to another mirror. If the mirror the user is in is broken, he can leap out of one of the fragments and continue his attack or move to another mirror. For every turn that the mirrors are used, The chakra cost is equal to one jounin level jutsu.

Description: The Hatake Clan emits a white chakra as a reserve. The white chakra is mostly for theatrics but it is commonly transmitted into weapons to extend there cutting length and effeciency. Members of the clan or bloodline are quick, but still do not have any special eye to adapt them for the high speeds. All members in this bloodline must have white or silverish hair.
