Emmet and his brother Sebastian have fought monsters all their life, trained by their father, they have not visited their family for some time now. Finally after many years they arrive at their fathers house only to be confronted by the deadly foes they once hunted. They are here to kill them in cold blood. And they have no mercy to spare, they're ready and they are here.

So first of all thank you Kalika for inspiring me to write this story, your criticism has helped me a lot.

Emmet and Sebastian were walking down a narrow path towards their home, the air was scented with the fresh pinecone smell of the evergreens. Emmet inhaled the smell and a smile stretched across his face. “Home sweet home.” His brother gave a nod as they continued down the path. Emmet was still taking in all the scenery, he looked up and saw the horizon form beyond the mountains that reached the sky it was an orange haze. Emmet reached over and slung his arm around Sebastian as they stumbled off the path and towards the house that lay still in the valley. “Isn't this place usually bustling this time of day brother?” Sebastian gave his brother an odd look. Emmet replied with his own facial of curiosity. They both went sprinting towards the house. Emmet was the first to arrive, he hurled his body towards the door and sent it across the room accompanied with a human being. Emmet reached for his bow ready to unsheath it, he raised an arrow and placed it upon the bow. Before shooting he scanned the room and realized he had infiltrated his own family. “Emmet!” His mother yelled at him. She ran over to Emmet's victim who had already kicked the door off of himself. “It’s okay..no harm done.” These boys always had it in for me.” Emmet and Sebastian smiled and ran towards their father who also had a looming smile, the group went spiraling into a bearhug hitting surrounding objects in the house. Finally the group content with their long hug they stepped away from each other. The father looked outside the broken door now off its hinges he had full view of the yard. Night was now woven upon them the only light being the moon. “Listen fast, and listen good. We need to protect your sister Elizabeth and your mother Clementine as they escape under the cover of night. Your questions will-” He was cut off by a massive stone hitting the building half of it gone now, Elizabeth and Clementine were given orders to run and make it to the tree line. The huge stone was covered in vines and its surface was scratched. There were no casualties yet but there might be some soon if they did not act fast. The father started to spill orders. Emmet did as commanded and grabbed his fathers bow then tossed it to him. Ready yourselves then head to the roof we will have cover and a better fighting chance up there. Emmet and Sebastian did as they were told. “Feels like the old days huh?” said Sebastian. “Sure does brother.” he gave him a boost of momentum and pushed him up to the attic. Followed by their father they set foot in the attic, half of the building had been torn down and the roof was now accessible. Emmet rounded the the edge of the roof and got a foothold on the outside. The others repeated this action and rendezvoused behind the slope of the roof. Emmet arched his bow then set in position until he was given the signal. Emmet sat there faced with no opponent. The valley was completely empty. “Who’s there!’ Emmet shouted in pure rage for what they...whoever it had been had done this to his childhood home. Emmet overcome by rage arched his bow once again and shot into the darkness. There was a horrible scream and a body lurched in the valley then slouched and fell blood guzzling from it’s gullet. Its blood pooled around what looked like a man to Emmet. Torches lit beyond the darkness lighting up the valley. The light was so bright it drowned out the pale moonlit sky. They were surrounded.
