It was like reason, smelling faintly of embarrassment, began to return to the stag's cold, romance-addled brain. He felt strange and giddy and oddly silly in the moment. He wanted to wrap Zurine into a hug, he wanted to tumble over onto the snow with her, and there was already a low laugh that bubbled its way up his throat. It was a self-conscious sort of happiness, dependent entirely on his knowing she might feel the same...
"You okay?" he said through his smile. The snow was still coming down hard, all around them. "This... is okay?"

She couldn't help another shy little laugh, wings shivering as they shed a little layer of snow down onto the ground as she studied his face, her own flushed softly and an absolutely unflappable smile on her face. Zurine hadn't expected for her chest to feel so warm, and for that warmth to be so sweet. "I'm... f-fine. And this is... more than okay," she said. "It's... w-wonderful, I think... don't you?" There was a shy, soft sort of hope in her voice as she tilted her head a little.

A look of relief fell across the stag's face like a waterfall, and all that remained underneath it was joy. He laughed and wrapped his arms around Zurine and pulled her close, their bodies fully against one another.
"Yes," he said through the sounds of his happiness. "Yes, it is."
Cesc pulled her closer and let his wings fan out and fell softly back into the snow, taking her with him as he fell onto the cushion that had formed so quickly beneath them. He kissed her temple and her cheeks and her mouth again. "Yes, I've wanted to kiss you for ages, yes."

She couldn't help laughing, her wings fluttering just a little to try and keep upright briefly on instinct, but she squeaked as they toppled back into the snow, finding herself atop him, her hands on his shoulders as she placed shy, chilly little kisses on his face in return. They were light and sweet, and she relished the chance to give them. "Really? You wanted to kiss me before tonight?" Her dark eyes were sparkling with delight, and the tumble they had taken had rumpled her hair around her face. "You could have. Anytime."
Zuri's gentle hands rose, lightly caressing his cheeks, fluffing his wet hair, just indulging herself in shamelessly touching. She didn't stop to think about what this meant, absorbed in the sweetness of the moment. "I wanted you to, I think. Without knowing I did."
