Ayala stretched, trying to get used to not going out and trying to explore everything. Sure, it was just returning to a life she had lived already, but after being out and about and meeting new page... She simply didn't want to stay indoors. The wolf faun knew she was going to have to stay home though, the Valentine's party was coming and The Chief didn't want any faun to leave for it. She knew she wanted to go, but not at what it would cost her if she disobeyed direct orders.
It was dwelling on these thoughts Ayala managed to get herself caught up in the hustle and bustle of the tree. She'd learned almost every nook and cranny she could without getting in too much trouble, but she seemed to have gotten herself mixed up in some part of the tree. She blinked, blue eyes looking around in confusion.
"Where am I?" She squeaked, amazed she had gotten herself so mixed up inside her own home!

Celestia was returning to her alcove after a visit with her sister and niece. Things were appearing to calm down, for their family at least. The waking nightmares were all but gone around the faun, her experience with the damned blood pae was fading into the past and the wounds healing...
...and there were more signs...
Or should she say she thought there were more signs. Nothing enough to strike the odd pae as different, but those close to her would certainly be noticing a greater range and fluctuation of her emotions. Perhaps she was simply hopeful, perhaps naive, but it certainly felt like it could be.
Her eyes caught site of a confused-looking... was that a faun? Wolf paws and a tail remnant of Ranuin's. Could it be...? "Are you perhaps Ayala?" His sister, child of Faroth and Chika.

Ayala squeaked, looking at the strange faun that had come up behind her. And she knew who she was? What the Tree? "Um.. Yes?" She gave the white female a funny look, having no idea who this winged and single horned female was. "How do you know my name? Are you a spy?" Ayala accused, not really being serious with the accusation. Surely this stranger only knew her because of her brother or father right?
But then, she hadn't really seen either of them in quite some time. Ayala ran a hand through her hair, wondering if it was indeed because of her brother or father. Her mother didn't seem to get out all that terribly often anymore. She mostly stayed and payed her respects to the tree more than anything else. Ayala was slacking on her own prayers and such, but there had been so much to do outside the tree lately.
"Do you know me because of Ranuin?" It didn't seem so strange. "He has the same kind of feet and tail as I do~" She smiled.

o0_Daisuke_0o Spirits bless her how lucky the princess was! Upon closer inspection, she could see her love in the girl: his grey fur most prominently. There was a twinge of jealousy at him having a child with another already, but nothing that she showed. For all she knew, they'd get a child too in seasons' time. Maybe. Probably not. "A spy, I am not." She bowed her head lightly. "I am Celestia; perhaps you have heard of me?" She didn't say this as if to imply she was well-known... but... Well... She kinda was, wasn't she? A former princess and all? "Actually, I heard of you from your father, Faroth. I am, however, quite acquainted with your brother as well." A small laugh. "Are you as much the handful?" Dementia Requiem Asumi ((Posting this for Dai, as AIM would load for her, but Gaia would not, and she didn't want to keep you waiting.))

(Thank you for helping Dai and I out Teigy <3)
Whoever this lady was, Ayala certainly had never heard of her. She spoke funny too. But then, Ayala wasn't all that well acquainted with proper speech patterns and all that frilly stuff. "I have heard the name... But I've never seen you in the tree." She admitted, trying not to sound too rude. She seemed soothing and nice enough, but something about knowing her family without knowing her made her hackles raise.
"How do you know Dad?" Her head tilted, tail perking up a bit when she spoke of her father. The young faun hadn't seen him much in recent times. Or most of her family really. "And my brother?" Something was fishy here. Ayala wasn't going to back up, or down for that matter, but she wasn't going to just stand here and grow more and more confused. This lady was making more questions than Ayala wanted to deal with.

Well, it would make sense that she had not been seen; it was her first time meeting the girl, after all. She’d feel terrible if they had already become acquainted and she’d forgotten, however unlikely that had been.
About the girl’s family, however, the questions were reasonable enough. Of course someone would be curious about such connections, particularly when it involved themselves. “Your father, and thinking back your brother was there as well, helped to guide our herd to the tree when we first arrived.” Nodding, she added in, “More recently, the three of us were on a sort of adventure, one might dare call it, together. Faroth spoke warmly of you and your mother.” Motioning in the direction of her alcove not far off, she continued, “Would you care to join me for some tea? It is always more enjoyable with company.”

Ayala frowned a little. That did sound like something her father would do. And he'd likely take her brother along with him. The wolf faun couldn't hold it against the winged female. Besides, why would she be upset that she knew her father and brother from that? At least not until she heard that Dad had been on a journey with this lady. That bothered her a little.
"Tea?" She tilted her head, trying not to concentrate on the fact that her family had had an adventure without her. That almost hurt. She didn't want to admit it, but it did. "Is it like... A drink?" Ayala was curious. She'd only ever had water before. Anything else was entirely new to her.

Celestia nodded. "Yes, tea. It is a sort of drink prepared by soaking certain plant leaves in boiling water. Often I serve it with small treats, such as scones or cookies." Scones tended to be for her older visitors, cookies for her nieces and nephews. From her knowledge of Faroth and his kids, however, she figured the girl in front of her would want cookies.
"You need not come if you do not wish for it." She just wanted to get to know his daughter better if she was going to continue being intimate with him. Not that she'd said anything to the girl, of course. The two of them (somehow) were still fairly discrete about their relationship.

Ayala scratched her head a bit. It sounded... Well it sounded terrible, but if pae actually drank it she wasn't going to say no. Especially when this lady seemed to know her dad and brother. And she was kind of thirsty. "Well, okay. You don't seem like a dangerous faun." The wolf one acquiesced. And a scone, whatever it was, sounded better than cookies. She knew what cookies tasted like, but scones? She'd never had one!
"What goes into a scone?" Her head tilted, curiosity showing through.

The princess laughed lightly, politely, at the girl’s comment. “I do surely hope not.” Could she ever be mistaken for a scary pae? It seemed rather unlikely. As they agreed, she began once more to more forward and in the direction of her alcove, pausing for a moment soon after doing so to make sure she was being followed.
“A scone has flower… fruits at times, honey others… or perhaps simple spices…” she began to go on, idly talking as they walked. When they arrived, she opened her door and motioned for Ayala to join her inside. “After you.”
