➵ ♥WELL. I never thought it'd happen to me, but it did.
I got hacked here in Gaia and most of my valuables are gone, along with my gold saved up for my quest.
I tried to fill out a hacking report and I do hope that went through 'cause I'm not entirely sure if it did. It just redirects me back to the report page.
Never mind, I manage to fill it out properly. Now for the waiting game. . .
It just... it really frucking sucks that something like this happens, all that hard work and gifts.
Gone. Just like that. By some malicious frucker that doesn't wanna earn his/her keep the hard way.
I know that this has nothing to do with real life priorities, but I'm honestly very upset by this.
I'm sorry if this isn't the place to post this too, but I feel like I need to tell someone this. .__.

And honestly, things online can hurt as much as they do irl, so don't think your situation isn't important. It feels terrible when things you've worked hard for are suddenly gone. Make sure you keep us updated on how the ticket's going, okay? We're here for you!

Ah, that's so awful.... crying and seriously, we do understand. I have no idea how I'd react if I got hacked... but I really do hope that whoever did such a thing gets punished for it, and banned from the site.

We're here for you, and ready to pledge our support. However, it's a good thing that you noticed it so quickly, because that way the damage control will be much better.
And yeah, things online can definitely affect you in real life, so YES, this does matter.
You've got our support. Don't forget that.

Ah the hacking. That merciful trickery. Like a game of all-out poker you never asked to play and inevitably lose.
I can relate to that. Ive been hacked too. Not a wonderful feeling that. There was this scam called "Mega Daily Chance" in the forums before that I was foolish enough to click in my earlier days of being new to Gaia. Its how we learn I suppose. Dont know how you got scammed/hacked, but youve got plenty of shoulders to cry on, so its no biggie. mrgreen
I can suggest only one thing to you in the future, and thats besides keeping a close eye on stuff that goes on around Gaia. In the heat of the moment, its very likely one would have a hard time remembering ALL of the things one once owned. When your stuff is returned to you, grab yourself a piece of paper, and jot down all the things of value that you own, and would most likely be wanted by pilferers. That way, when you get hacked again, check your inventory and write down all the things on the report of what was stolen, including how much gold you owned at the time. Tedious writing at first, it will become a convenient matter to attend to whence hacked.

➵ ♥The funny thing was... I'm not sure exactly how I got hacked. o.o
I'm never one to fall for phishers and obviously I don't give out my password.
Think it could've been forced or a keylogger? I don't know...
But what I do know is that the guy got my account, changed my password, started selling my stuff in the MP
for quick change and traded the profits + the gold I had to his account (trade history and MP logs prove that).
I'm thinking he didn't get a chance to change my e-mail or do more damage or just "throw away" my account.
Thankfully I know which and what was stolen due to my MP logs.
Maybe this guy isn't very smart, lol... sweatdrop I guess it could be worse too.

Sorry to hear about your hacking! I was hacked two to three years ago, but after waiting 3 months, I got my account and items back and my hacker was banned.
I'm curious though, did you use the IP verification to protect your account? It wasn't around when I was hacked and I was wondering if it worked as they said it would.

justice is done on your side of things. ;o;
And actually... no I haven't. sweatdrop After I got hacked, I immediately turned it on and even followed up
with using the secondary authority feature on my phone. Would be too much effort for an
average joe to crack into's someone's account just for a quick gold? :/
That's like a surefire way to get caught, if not immediately, then eventually.
I bought a couple of the Roses and Romance bundles yesterday and lucked out on getting a lot of gold,
so I bought those certain Minis that I've been after on and off for years, alongside a decent amount
of items I lost (main priority was the pugs) and gave back to those that were/are helping me
get back what I lost. :<
I still got a ways to go, but I'm fairly confidant that things'll turn up.

➵ ♥Well, now for a little bit of good news.
The staff has gotten back to me about the hack report and told me that the hacker has been dealt with.
Now for the 'meh' news.
It is possible that my stolen stuff will be returned but it's up to the Admin Overlords to decide that
and when I get them back. @___@
Now for even more waiting. . .
