Reimu listened carefully to the tale Yukari wove. Despite her dislike of the woman, Reimu could not doubt her wisdom or level of knowledge. It was a sickening feeling to be so attached to the woman, yet at the same time, oddly satisfying. Perhaps it was because she herself identified less and less with humans as time went on, spending more time with the Youkai she was dutied to defend against, and her only tie to humans and humanity in general being Marisa and those few others she rarely made acquaintances with. "If he has the capability of such power... do you not feel threatened by it? Bye the threat he could pose to Gensokyo itself?" She furrowed her brow, watching Nahumar "play" with his younglings. "If the humans were to be destroyed, it would upset the delicate balance of Gensokyo... not to mention cripple the Youkai's source of food." That last part was a bit of an exaggeration, perhaps, but a worthwhile point to disclose.

As Nahumar returned, her expression changed little, although she did have the presence of mind to change the topic of conversation. "... You wanted to know what I'd like to talk about? Perhaps you should simply try talking to me, rather than rely on gimmicks and trinkets to arouse such interactions." Reimu took a thoughtful sip from her cup. "Isn't that what we did last time? When our interaction felt so natural?"

Nahumar raised a brow at Reimu. He wondered what Yukari told her but ignored it as Yukari started to play with the twins like house cats. He didn't sit down just yet "Forgive me for such items handed to you then. I merely acted on the instinct of kindness to those I find comfort in being around, albeit some of whom mistaken me for a being of death." he took his time to speak while finding a nice spot to sit. He decided not to get too close to the Priestess and kept a small barrier between them "The information I saw about humans who offer gifts and then conversate seemed truly inaccurate in this land. From what i remember...Sorina, Myself and other emotions use to receive offerings of many goods for our management. So in turn, we felt that it was time we gave back to humans instead. It's fuzzy, but I remember a time where the humans gathered with a frothy beverage...all laughing and even singing with my siblings beside me. Tea didn't exist. It was as if the land was dry and the air was humid...hotter than normal." Just trying to think of the past they left behind gave him a migraine.

Yukari noticed the slight shift in Nahumar's actions as she for once showed some concerned? "You don't have to dig that deep. It's in the past. The outside world has long since forgotten about you and the others." she stated. Clearly with their indifference she has a tiny fragment of some mercy in her, even if it never surfaced much. "That is why you came here after all. To forget the outside world that killed off your siblings." her tone near the end had some rage, again pointing at her hate for humans.

Reimu was taken slightly aback by Nahumar's words. That hadn't been the point she'd been trying to get across, but, his explanation made her realize, perhaps, just how inconsiderate she was being. Regardless of the intentions behind it, the fact remained that the ring had been a gift, and she'd been quite rude in its acceptance. The Priestess sat quietly as Nahumar spoke, and Yukari made mention of his reminiscence. Another realization struck her; for all their interactions, she hardly knew anything about Nahumar that was past the facade he put up, treating him as nothing more than the shell he usually was.

For a few moments, Reimu let herself be lost in thought. It was true, that even beings like Youkai and Gods carry personalities of their own, sharing similar tendencies as humans... even outright copying them at times. Though some relied on their more primal natures, some Youkai and Gods acted very much like the humans they lived among. It was a sobering fact, and one too easily forgotten in the ever-persisting conflict to maintain balance of both the natural and fantastic.

"... Nahumar." Reimu spoke finally, staring at the cup she held over her lap. "Yukari is right. The same can even be said for some humans, you know... those who want to leave behind their past. Not necessarily those who enter Gensokyo, but rather those that simply want to move on. Whatever's happened in our respective pasts is only a record of what makes us who and what we are... It is what we do with this record and the experience that accompanied those events that defines our character. What I mean to say is..." She kept her head lowered, the lightest of traces of red brightening her cheeks. "Thanks. For the gift."

Yukari listened to Reimu's words after she stopped playing for a bit. It seemed she caught on one more to what she planned to somewhat teach the priestess. Her small grin formed as she said every line. Giving tribute to another for deeds that can reward themselves is a trait many living things thrive on alone. Nahumar simply gave a gift from the three emotions to the priestess for the hard work she performed in preserving the balance. In exchange, Reimu accepted the gift which put onto Nahumar gives him and with those four words was a blessing of sorts placed on him.

Nahumar didn't even look right at Reimu. Instead he tilted his head opposite of her while attempting to hide his embarrassment from getting that reply. Yukari then put her hand between them with her little comment "So the cloud of ebony smoke HAS more than one color. And it's bright red!" forcing Nahumar to sit up straight in attention and yelling back "Y-Yukari! Some of us are attempting to enjoy this day!". Yukari slithered between the two, taking her seat between them with that grin. "Then how about I enjoy it with you both, Hm? I can't let Reimu take all the attention." she smiled, taking one of the buns to eat ever so neatly. She looked to Reimu and without Nahumar knowing, she said "You shouldn't wear makeup. You do fine without it." as if mocking her for blushing at all.

Incubo and Sogno changed into their cat like forms to lay in one of their laps. Incubo on Yukari and Sogno looking at Reimu as if wanting to sit with her.
