We have, surprisingly, a new breed of Stars that we have discovered. They are known as the Alcors. Physically, they resemble any of the other breeds of Stars. However, they possess a special ability that belongs to them that can only be inherited by being born to one of their number. Inheritance of the trait is as likely as being any of the other breeds. However, since far fewer Alcors seem to have Fallen so far, their numbers are very rare.
The Alcors are the shapeshifters among the Stars. Most Alcor wear the pelt of the animal they turn into and jewelry. All Alcors acquire the ability to shapeshift as adults, which is the age at which they acquire a pelt, if they wear one.
There are many different classes of Alcors, classed by their other breed classification and the animal they turn into. Personalities also vary widely, but they often include tricksters and pranksters, as well as heroic or tragic figures.
Below are lists of known Alcor and descriptions of more common classes of Alcor. The common ones listed below may be available for customing, but please be aware of restrictions. If the pelt you are looking for is not listed below, it is because the pelt will have to be made by the colorist on the spot, increasing the price of an Alcor. All Alcors are by default crossbreeds.

The first class of Alcor to have fallen from Dreamspace are the selkies. They are a benevolent class of Alcor easily mistaken for Novae, gentle and kind. So far, they are far and away the most common class of Alcor, due to the fact that the first to fall were a mother (Callisto) and her two foals (Tonn and Ajna).

Formally werewolf
The second class of alcor to have fallen are the lupin. Their personalities vary widely; insane, evil, gentle, proud, etc, often in connection to their families' ties to the alcors. It is said that the first lupins were cursed to become alcors, sometimes making them unhappy. Now, lupins freely change from star to wolf. Unlike werewolves, those bitten by lupin alcors do not become lupin themselves. Being a lupin alcor still requires being born to another lupin alcor. Lupin alcors are also carnivores as wolves though some may retain it as stars.
Important: Lupin alcors are BORN not BITTEN/CURSED! In the past, an event came about where if you failed to "save" a certain star, your star somehow was turned into a lupin (then werewolf) alcor and given a pelt. This action will not be undone but it will NOT occur again. If you have a star from this event they can interact with a Sign star and be healed or the change made permanent.
Heavenly Snow is managing this alcor race.
Breed: Any non-aquatic/non-marine Star
Requirements for Lupin Alcor: wolf pelt.
Bonus: wolf art colored like star.

The Cheshire cats fill an odd niche in the Alcor community, and as such are not fully considered a class of Alcor as a result. The Cheshire cats seem to avoid entirely in Dreamspace the places where Stars can fall, accounting for their extreme rarity in this world. Not all Cheshire cats are Alcors, but some are, and some Cheshire cats are mutants with feline features. Many Cheshire cats belong to a community organized into clans, supposedly. This community does not have an enclave in this world at present, and it is highly unlikely that one will ever develop. Cheshire cat Alcors are also fairly unique in that they do not have pelts, and only have jewelry by personal preference. They have a very strong tendency to be tricksters.

Mutations are likely to occur, for example, the saurian tail with feathers seen on many. These can pop up on non-Sidron offspring too.
