The surrounding territory is home to all manner of creatures. Many of them go about their daily lives as any animal would, and the majority of them are docile, harmless, or even friendly. However, please take caution: we are still in the wilderness, you know! You never know what dangers might be lurking or what animals might have been affected by the psitanium! ...Well -- okay, you'll know about that. Because we're telling you. Right here.

➧ FRIENDLY WILDLIFE
- You'll find a wide variety of birds all throughout the area. Seagulls, specifically, can be spotted around Lake Peregrine either catching fish or rooting through waste bins. Crows are an exceptionally common sight all over, but in particular seem to flock around Agent Pinkerton and Charlotte Lamb. There may be as many as thirty at any given time.
Squirrels and other rodents can be around most commonly around the cabins and main lodge, though they are just about anywhere in the area that has trees. Considering it's called Murmuring Pines, it's a safe bet that's just about everywhere. Mice and bats are also common critters. More rarely you might find a skunk or two. Try to keep your distance, no one wants to smell like that for a week and no one wants to smell you, either!
Fish, frogs, and lizards are scattered all throughout the surrounding bodies of water. Lake Peregrine and the Campus' fishing hole are filled with all kinds of fish. Every stream or small pond you find will undoubtedly have frogs, toads, salamanders, and more, all wading through their waters. Sometimes the little lizards find their way into the cabins, too.
And, of course, who could ever get the wonderful camping experience of bugs? Make sure you packed a lot of bug spray, the mosquitoes out here are intense.
➧ USE CAUTION

- Invisibility Foxes
You can find these swift critters day or night around the Main Lodge, Kids Cabins, Academy Grounds, or anywhere on Campus. They are mostly docile but still wild, so please use caution. These foxes go invisible as a defense mechanism if predators get too close to them or a threat is perceived.

Only around at night, you might find a raccoon around the any of the main buildings or receptacles around the area. They are mostly docile but still wild, so please use caution. If they perceive danger, they will lob a confusion grenade at you and flee. It won't hurt but man will you be disoriented!

- Telekinetic Bears
You can always tell when a bear in this area is telekinetic because, well, they're levitating. And they're the only kind of bear in the territory. Weird. They're only active during the day and sleep at night. You can bump into them in the wilderness or around the GPC. They are aggressive and will strike out at you with their PSI Claws. If they can manage to grab you with telekinesis, they will hold you in place and scratch you with their real claws. Scary!

The cougars in these hills are stealthy and silent hunters. They are only active at night and may be encountered in the wilderness or hanging around the campfire area when it is unattended. These big cats prefer to keep their distance from prey, char broiling them instead of getting their claws dirty. Their pyrokinetic range is quite impressive and can target from a few yards away. You're safest walking at night if you use invisibility! Of course, you could just carry a bucket of water with you and pour it on yourself. Whatever works.

Night or day, you might find yourselves in their sights! The wolves in this area are lean, mean, and have a damn good eye. Thanks to the psitanium deposits, they're able to PSI Blast -- and that's bad news for you. Thankfully, they're strictly relegated to the wilderness. As long as you don't encroach on their territory, they shouldn't bother you. In fact, Doolittle is able to communicate and reason with the wolves and sometimes they assist in pushing back the other dangerous animals. Don't push your luck, though. One false move and you'll get blasted!
