Balwarc Avenue is a large road on the western side of Asmodius city filled with the greatest smiths and workshops of Magic Earth. The road is stone, the lights glow orange and the buildings are lined with cast iron, some even have molten magma pouring through the hearts of the buildings. At the end of the road, the lies the Gaiaforge, a grand forge kept within an iron dome, inside are iron beams and columns covered in soot. The floor is metal but the cracks glow from the magma that all lies beneath. The forge is in the center of the room. It's owned and protected by Mathias Balwarc, a renowned and respected Blacksmith, his ancestors have for a long time owned the Balwarc, the very dome and workshop positioned beside the Gaiaforge, for centuries. It was built upon an existing pond of lava, fresh from deep sources of the earth.

I’m a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm.
And the scars that mark my body, they’re silver and gold,
My blood is a flood of emeralds, precious stones,
It keeps my veins hot, the fire's found a home in me.
I move through town, I’m quiet like a fight,
And my necklace is of rope, I tie it and untie.

Cardy and Euphemia left the Grand Library as quickly as possible, and the money that Cardy earned from that bounty in Neutral City was more than enough to pay for comfortable journey through he skies to Asmodius City - the next most likely spot for what she was looking for. She had to admit it was a nice change from the normality that was Neutral City, Asmodius had that... rustic edge to it, almost. They came in through the west gates and found themselves in the Bulwarc Avenue, a long wide road running towards the centre, King's Terrace. The streets here are lined with the greatest craftsmen, blacksmiths and so on that could ever be found on Magic Earth. The streets are paved in dull flat stone and along the edges it won't be uncommon to find heat-treated grates covered streams of molten magma that travels between workshops and the natural sources beneath the ground.

Walking through the streets it was morning, not-so fresh air filled her lungs and the warmth of the sun and the workshops touched Cardy's skin. "Well" Cardy began, looking around unsure what to make of it all, "This is quite the change". Passing of the shops, she could hear the sound of metal being worked, and the fumes of soot rising from the chimneys, she followed the trail of smoke and looked up at the massive circular cliff that stood high and proud in the centre of the city, "And I suppose that's where the Royal Family used to rule Occulas from... hmm..."

This is the start of how it all ends
They used to shout my name, now they whisper it
I’m speeding up and this is the red, orange, yellow flicker beat sparking up my heart

Euphemia

Cardy spent almost all her money on a zeppelin ride to Asmodius City so Euphemia vowed to save hers. The ride there was luxurious and most of the time she fell asleep because it was just so comfortable. Following her guardian through huge gates into the city, they strolled down one of the main avenues. The streets weren't organized or pristine like Neutral City, in fact, it was the exact opposite. Instead of vendors, the shops were blacksmiths covered in soot or sleazy black market weapon dealers. The ground wasn't intricate either just plain, but again do walkways even need to be fancy? After a few minutes of walking and sight seeing, Euphemia whipped the sweat off her forehead because the temperature was so intense in this area. There was rivers of lava beside them because the blacksmiths used it as nature material. Euphemia couldn't believe the advancements in this city compared to Neutral.

Cardy seemed entranced by the rising smoke from every chimney and the sounds of metal being shaped. Eventually, she pointed out a cliff where a royal family who rules all of Magic Earth use to stay. Is there who or what they were looking for? Honestly, this whole time she's been traveling with Cardy the girl hasn't told her who or what she is trying to find. Euphemia stopped and asked, "Cardy, what this all about? What are you looking for? Can you tell me that?" she said in a stern, yet innocent tone.

Yellow Flicker Beat

The view was so entrancing that Cardy almost didn't hear what Euphemia asked, but when it finally made sense in her head she looked back at Euphemia with a blank stare. This was not something she ever shared with anyone, or when she did it would only bring them suffering. The fact Euphemia was asking so many questions so suddenly made Cardy stop and think for a moment. She pondered, and guessed What harm could it bring. She slowly admitted "I'm looking for a book, and with it's secrets within the remedy to cure a defiled body. I want vengeance" she said, almost with a sense of glee in her tone, "that is all I will tell you. I cannot describe it any further but if you find it... you will know it is what I'm searching for. An ancient... powerful text". Cardy has always seemed more mature than her visual age, though able to tease and act childish when she wanted. She was strange though, she always had a strange confidence and excitement in most things dangerous, she had no fear.

She is like a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm but just as electrifying and unpredictable.

Euphemia

At first Cardy ignored her which irradiated her knowing that she'll have to repeat herself, but then the woman answer. Reluctantly, she explained that she was searching for an ancient book that had the power to purify a body. Whose body should have been the next question, but Cardy refused to oblige her any further. Was it for her own good not to know or was Cardy planning something way beyond her understanding. She said she is seeking vengeance, but again the question is who or what? Euphemia was starting to realize there was so much more to Cardy than she thought she understood. What if the book came into her possession? Would she give it up to Cardy willingly or become cautious to the point where Cardy will fight, maybe even kill her for it. Euphemia was now dwelling on the consequences she was set out for herself, but still stayed by the women's side.

She still didn't have the needs to provide for herself just yet, and now her curiosity was certainly getting the better of her. Quietly, she tagged along pretending like nothing was wrong but she will betray Cardy if it's necessary. She may owe her her life, however, she has personal priorities that need to be fulfilled before she dies.

Wanna join me? Come and play...
But I might cut you, in your face!
Blades and ravens , will do the trick
What we need here, is a little bit of panic oh ah!

"I can't WAIT to play catch with you!"

I'm coming to get you
Yeah im coming to get you
Beware, beware, don't go to bed don't close your eyes!

Euphemia seemed to quite happily fall silent after getting only that much information out of Cardy, it was strange, she was expecting to be asked further questions. The girl was probably just having a lull in her thought process. Taking in a deep breath Cardy looked around, wasn't much good being in this part of the city, it was far too hot and filled with fat burly men with their shirts off. The sights made her shiver...

After some minutes they found themselves nearing the edge of the avenue, it was still some yards away, separating the made streets with a giant metal gate and with many a guard protecting the entry. On the other side in the streets, where buildings towered up high, Cardy saw a squadron of the army marching by, they all were similar armour, it was simply grey plate with chain male underneath, some had swords and other's hand polearms. How on earth was she going to find what she wanted in a place like this? It was organised chaos! And she could feel her feet beginning to ache with all the walking they've been doing, this city was giant compared to Neutral City. "C'mon" Cardy said, "We should find an Inn or something-" but before she could take another step closer to the exit nearby, her feet stop abruptly on the dusty stone slabs, there was a sudden outburst, cries from a young woman. "HEY!" the girl shouted. The voice was an irritating high pitch, almost nasally. Looking over she saw her, she wore lilac and green like she was from a poisonous forest, and had a weapon like a giant hula hoop. Her hair was white and lilac, parted down the middle and made into two fat plaits. One of the soldiers at the gates was attempting to shove her back into Balwarc Avenue but she continued to yell "I only wanted to see if you would fall over!"
"By throwing that weapon at my face! Now scram before I throw you in the Bastille!"
"What? Really?" the girl asked, with a tone of glee and excitement, but the man pulled her arm back suddenly to jerk her away. But the girl then scowled at him and her shoulders seemed to hang lower than usual as she said "I'll throw you in there yourself and let them run rampant on your disembodied head" with a sinister voice. The other soldiers at the gate sides then became hostile and used their giant shields to thrust her back together, throwing her down to the ground as the original soldier shouted "Get out of here you brat, the Red City's no place for you."
"FINE!" she shouted back in her sweet child-like tone again, almost with a whimper.

Cardy couldn't do anything but gawk at this woman, was she a fully grown adult or a child? Was she both? It made Cardy want to just have a seizure thinking it could be a relation to Euphemia, one placid girl with no idea of her past, and another with no conception of life. She was also surprised at how ruthless the guards here were, the New Magistrate in Neutral City and the guards in Zakernand were far more formal. "Stay close" Euphemia commanded, tugging her closer as the woman began striding by them, Cardy kept a close eye on her as she past, but it caught her attention, so she shouted "What're you staring at?! Have I good food on my face?" and that wa sit, Cardy could barely hold back. She snapped back with "No, just an unlucky turd, oh, sorry. That's you." to which the woman violently swung around and the 'shing' of her ring blade could be heard singing through the air between them as a threat. Cardy dropped her basket and crossed her wrists over one another and summoned up a red and green light from the basket, they spiralled to her hands and conjured up her guns with a green and a red gem hanging from them. They were at a stand-off. The woman then sinisterly said "I'll cut your heart out!". But Cardy wasn't afraid to say "That will be more painful for you than me."

Come on! Shoot faster!
Just a little bit of energy yeah!
I wanna try something fun right now,
I guess some people call it anarchy!
Let's blow this city into ashes and see what Tyra thinks,
It's such pathetic neatness,
But not for long cause you'll get jinxed!

"... Using your blood bathed, decapitated head. "

Do you ever want to catch me?
Right now I'm feeling ignored!
So can you try a little harder?
I'm really getting bored!

Euphemia

Euphemia's legs left like lead as they neared some ostentatious gates towards the end of the main avenue. Men covered in silver armour that possessed huge shields protected the gates. Beyond them, armies of young disciplined men marched around the courtyard, possibly belonging to the facility behind them. Actually their stance and armour struck a cord with her because she recognized it from the book about elementals in the library. There was also a faint memory in the back of her mind of someone she use to know whom probably originated from here. After a few minutes of being mesmerized by the squadron, Cardy insisted that they leave and find a place to rest. Euphemia couldn't agree more, however, a boisterous woman swaggered up to the gates hoping to get past security. Her outfit certain made an uninviting statement. For instance, her forest green top embellished with bullet shells exposed more than half of her body. Her tight black leather reflected the light that shined off of her weapon that hovered around her like a hula hoop.

Her thick heels tapped loudly on the stone while her snow white hair swayed with her moments. In a way, she resembled herself if she had grey eyes instead of red. The guards protecting the gate pushed her back roughly as she toyed with them before becoming exceedingly violent. One threatened to throw her into some place called, Bastille and she promised that she would decapitate him. Euphemia grimaced as the girl continued before being knocked down only to pick herself back up. It would seem nothing could dampen her mood even though her childish ruse.

As the woman began to walk casually past them, Cardy grabbed her arm and pulled her close like a concerned mother. The two made contact and the woman couldn't contain her wretched personality. Cardy gave into her anger and snapped back which caused the woman to be hostile. The sound of her blade rang through the air as it barely passed Cardy's face. Fear was an illusion to her guardian as she dropped her basket and summoned her guns. The light from the crystals that hung from guns sparkled beautiful, but the beauty was overshadowed from the hatred between the two. The woman spat out more violent nonsense and out of nowhere Euphemia felt the need to stop them. There was a sense of justice somewhere within her and plus a fight in the middle of the city doesn't make a good impression. The flower around her wrist lit up and transformed into her sword as she took a step forward and glanced back and forth between them. "Please, put down your weapons! Cardy your better than this and you...you need to calm down." she wasn't a peacemaker obviously. But, at least she tried her best or so she thought.

The two of them were at each other's throats! Although Cardy may be somewhat shorter than Tyra-on-heels she certainly matched her with brute courage. It took Euphemia and her blade to talk some sense into the warring women. She stepped in and told Cardy she was better than this, that she should know better and it made Cardy grit her teeth, she wasn't being used to being told off and part of her just wanted to yell back and shout I'm a grown woman! but she held back and took a breath. She lowered her guns. Tyra stuck her tongue out at Euphemia with her comment of calming down, but instead laughed at Cardy giving up. She, in her childish tone, said "Ha! I win. You're no fun" then looking to Euphemia. Cardy pulled her trigger though, and a bullet hit Tyra's blade as she flung it over he shoulder from behind! Cardy's right gun was pointed down at the ground and there was a mirror on the floor, through it's reflection she could see Tyra's back before the mirrors faded. Tyra gasped and whined "HEY, THAT'S CHEATING! I USED TO KNOW SOMEONE WHO DID THAT AND IT WASN'T NICE!". But Cardy rolled her eyes and said "Life isn't fair, cheaters get what they want faster. You should know." and with that, Cardy turned around abd began to stomp away. Pulling a face again Tyra watched as she began to walk off, she then looked to Euphemia and said "You should really keep her under control. If she goes crazy-" Tyra stopped talking, instead she hit herself int he head and shrugged off the pain, she finished what she was saying in a dark an ominous tone, stating "someone could get killed."

Euphemia

Euphemia's best wasn't good enough because she felt Cardy's intensity. Her guardian was far older and wiser than she, so being scolded like a child was very condescending. Lowering her weapons caused Tyra to laugh and boast in triumph, and stick her tongue out which made her raise a brow. That was the last straw for Cardy, she pressed the trigger and nicked the woman's blade from her backside. She accomplished this through a mirror that she had conjured on the ground from some kind of magic. Euphemia couldn't settle this one and watched as the two snapped at each other. Tyra complained about her cheating and Cardy simply told her that's the way life is before turning away loudly. The blade reduced its side and shaped back into a flower that molded around her wrist until it needed to be used again. She didn't follow Cardy right away just to give her some space to cool off and listened to the woman's unbelievable remark. She's the one who should be kept on a leash especially when she changed her tone. Her attitude tones people was very dark and a little to unstable to blend in with society, not to mention how impulsive she is. In some ways, her and Cardy weren't to different. "Maybe you should follow your own advice." the albino stated ready to follow Cardy.

I’m a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm.

My blood is a flood of emeralds, precious stones,
It keeps my veins hot, the fire's found a home in me.
I move through town, I’m quiet like a fight,
And my necklace is of rope, I tie it and untie.

Cardy stormed off towards the gates, she felt like she could just pick up a pot and smash it on the ground. Ahead of her was the monolithic archway into the made city, she didn't even look behind her to check if Euphemia was coming. Her fingers itched, too, she wanted to hurt that woman, wanted to show her not to mess with a little girl in a red hood. If only she didn't have an image to uphold she would lash out like a reptile. Tyra on the other hand was still behind and trying to understand what Euphemia was saying, was that a compliment or an insult? She scowled at her in confusion, her arms nervously moving her Ring Blade around as she said "I always take my own advice!" in her sinister tone, then shaking her head and replying in her childlike voice "yeah! You should do your research before you say something it could leave your guts over the ground hahahaaaa". And with that Tyra twisted on her heel and threw her Ring Blade over one shoulder and departed, surely leaving a trail of chaos where ever she goes.

Cardy was nearing the entrance when Euphemia was by her side again, she didn't even bother saying anything she just kept walking. The Guards as suspected let them through without even looking at them, they were still having banter over the weird lady several minutes ago. Cardy was thinking as she moved through the streets, the soldiers here are rumoured to be rather unskilled or lazy in the younger years, meaning the next few generations of soldiers coming out of the Asmodius Corps are getting worse and worse, only small squadrons from Asmodius College are coming out with the will to lead them. A year or so ago she even heard that one left to join a team known as Elixer. Their initial purpose was something that also interested Cardy, but only slightly, the thought of ever youthful life to her seemed obsolete these days.

((I'll reply in a different thread after this smile ))

As they came to the heart of the city, Cardy took it all in. Buildings surrounded them in all directions, not much natural light beamed down and the heat of the desert to the north-east rushed through the city from the winds, so the shade was perhaps helpful. Everything was so... hand-made... if she could say that. Metal buildings, some put together from scraps others made of stone and bricks but nothing was really made in pattern here it was all made as and when they needed it by the looks of things. Older parts of the city can be recognised, made of polished stone but this was all closer to the pinnacle where the Royal Family once lived. But that's apparently a tourist attraction now. Horse and carts trotted past them, bustling people heading towards the bazaar brushed past them and soldiers patrolled the streets at all times. "Well.." Cardy said, looking to Euphemia... "Where do we even begin..."

This is the start of how it all ends
They used to shout my name, now they whisper it
I’m speeding up and this is the red, orange, yellow flicker beat sparking up my heart

Euphemia

Cardy stormed off through a pristine arch without glancing back to see if she was following. It was obvious that she hated to be told what to do, and had to distance herself from the woman before she lashes out. Euphemia sighted and looked back at Tyra whom looked like she was still trying to decipher her comment. Nervously, she twirled her weapon and retorted by saying that she always followed her own advice. The albino rolled her eyes and gave a look like 'I'm sure you do'. Of course, Euphemia couldn't leave without hearing one last outburst about doing some research before judging or else her insides will end up on the ground. It was a sick, stomach-turning image and she frowned as she watched the woman strut away. Euphemia waved her goodbye and caught up to Cardy even though her presences wasn't wanted.

The guards granted them accent into the labyrinth of streets while discussing the strangeness of Trya. Euphemia couldn't help, but think that she needed to be locked away in an mental intuition somewhere. She viewed Asmodius soldiers as they marched by and tried to remember where else she had seen them. Once they entered the center of the city, warm air brushed pasts the two. The light from above didn't touch them because of the tall buildings made out of bits of metal blocked the sun. Not all the buildings consisted of metal, a lot near the cliff were constructed in beautiful stone. However, with what little windows all the buildings had she could only image that it was hotter inside than out. Sweat dripped from her forehead and she wiped it away only to have more sweat fill that spot. The city was rather lively considering all the people heading towards the local market and the soldiers strolling by. Cardy turned to her and asked where to being, and for some reason Euphemia decided to be a rebellious. "A thank you would be a good start." she said bluntly.
