I have been regrettably less than impressed with 85% of Metroplex. Sure, he is huge. Sure, he is faithful to the G1 and upscaled. I don't know . . . it just doesn't spark my interest. Oddly enough, most of my interest has been in the 3rd party market recently. For instance, I got a hold of Aranea (keeping with the fembot call-to-arms), and managed to get the Nemesis Prime repaint of MP-10. Another really fun one I got a hold of at the same time was Cyrus Breakdown, and man is he fun!!!

For now, I keep looking at the Covenant of Primus and eyeballing the Hercules constructicon team. With the abysmal rate of official toys reaching me, I don't have many options. For instance . . . i just found my first Beast Hunters Knockout the other day. Yep. Just got to me. Crockout is on my "interests" list, so that was a bonus. Still, I can't wait to get my hands on Rhinox, Waspinator, and Skids.

On a personal note, LOVE Thew!!! "Till all are drunk," "Nope-nope-nope-nope-nope-nope." and muh-tum-tee (phonetic saying of MTMTE) are deeply enjoyed.

Me, I would love to read up on the lore. Knowing the "offcial" backstory would be nice, and all the information that I have seen on Facebook such as some of the Primes makes me hunger for more. For instance, retconning the gestalts as being traced back to one of the original 13 was an interesting twist. Evidently "Nexus Prime" is attributed with being the first combiner, and all others can derive from him. It sparks my curiosity.

Addendum: today (2-1-2014) I traded in a few thousand old Yu-Gi-Oh cards that I did not want around the house anymore anyway . . . and got the Covenant. It will take me a good long while to read my way through it, but Magni is happy.
