Hello everyone!

I wanted to poke my head in here; I know it's a bit quiet, but I wanted to know if anyone was interested in participating in a second Guild Pride Week. I could arrange to have a Gaia Blog post published to advertise our event this year, and even score an announcement redirecting members to the Gaia Blog post, as that always seems to be more fruitful. If no one is interested in helping me spearhead this, I'm afraid that I'm terribly busy this year with academics and LSAT preparation to do it all on my own, but if a few of us tackled a small part, I'm sure that we could pull it off.

I noticed the gaia events haven't been so fun this year and that when they do release them people have to spend money. I love how Guild Pride Week at least everyone can have a good time without all of that.. : ( My worry right now is how the gaia economy will look like when the summertime comes and will it be harder to obtain prizes/gold. Right now most items is going for 1 billion in the Marketplace.. : (

I noticed the gaia events haven't been so fun this year and that when they do release them people have to spend money. I love how Guild Pride Week at least everyone can have a good time without all of that.. : ( My worry right now is how the gaia economy will look like when the summertime comes and will it be harder to obtain prizes/gold. Right now most items is going for 1 billion in the Marketplace.. : (

Yeah, inflations has gone insane and Gaia's just stopped trying with the community efforts but there's still people out there willing to donate for something like Guild Pride, we'll just have to find some donors.

This really isn't such a terrible thing either. If we handle it right Gaia's economy going in the hole could actually be good for guilds. It makes non-cash players hungry for gold so they might actually be willing to put in some work with a guild if they get paid. Cuz there is no end to the work that needs to be done to keep a good guild running.

Granted this does mean that guilds will pretty much need a cash player or several to make donations but that too could be good for guilds. Paying actual cash for guild operations means you've got a higher level of dedication to it so you're more likely to actually keep it up. Honestly I've wished they would make guilds into cash purchases ever since they came up with GC. Elitist? A bit but part of the problem with guilds is that so very many owners don't take them seriously.

I hope I can jump right in and say that we, at Inspirae Hearts, would be happy to participate in a second Guild Pride Week this year! Last year was our first year hanging out with the community, and it was really exciting for us! Hopefully we can have that chance again! Thank you GGM for last years Guild Pride Week and summer of fun!

Sorry I'm very late with this response I completely agree with you on that. And that's very true about non-money spenders turning into the guild for money. Or even the forum events, I'm sure if we have some great prizes for Guild Pride Week that people can win it would turn into something very special ontop people interacting and having a great time with one another. If we do have guild pride week I will be happy to be a donor for the event, I was able to vend some cheap items that is now worth alot. And as for the guild purchase; same here. I see people making like 10 guilds a week and they don't put in the efforts to keep them running. It's a shame indeed. But on the bright note, I really hope we do have guild pride week with the summer fast approaching.

Hello,

I wanted to check in to see if GPW is set to take place in September? Or will there be another event planned?

The GPW subforum still isn't open yet... Where as last year, everything was prepared at least a month, if not a week, in advance for guilds to set up their event thread. The set up this year for GPW seems different and I wanted to know if GGM was going to change their annual event for the guild community.

Sorry, I am throwing a lot of questions all at once instead of waiting it out, like I normally do.
I tend to lurk a lot unless there is an event going on that I can jump into.
