In a quaint, little village by the name of Valkehyn, there exists a terrible legend sung by the children of the village.

"Beware the old doctor who comes in the night!
He grabs the little children and whisks them away!
With syringes and blades, he'll experiment with you!
Then, shut you in his asylum for the rest of your days!
Lock all doors, and cover all windows!
Alas, he will spot you and drag you away!"

The legend is indeed true. Every night at exactly midnight, the doctor enters the village and whisks away all of the children he sees. However, it's not just the little children he takes. The doctor will take any child for his experiment. Many are already in his hands, being experimented on and tortured. The police of Valkenhyn are too afraid of this doctor to even patrol around at night, so there's not much they can do to help. Therefore, there are other villagers and heroes from all over the world that have heard of this legend and have come to free the hostages.

Now, this is the most boring part, but every place on Earth has rules. This role-play is no exception. Follow these rules, and you and I will get along perfectly.

- Follow all Gaia ToS.
The ToS applies to everywhere on Gaia.

- Romance is allowed, but please keep it vague.
As soon as the clothes come off, please time-skip. We all know what happens past that point.

- Be respectful of everyone in the role-play.
Must I really explain this one?

- No Auto-Hitting or God-Modding of any kind will be tolerated in this role-play.
If you want to injure someone else's character, then get their permission. This rule also applies for killing other characters.

- Do not argue with me.
It is extremely disrespectful to me. I'm the god of this role-play.

- Every role-play post must contain at least two paragraphs.
If you're having Writers' Block, I'll let you write under the required amount. Good grammar is expected of you. Role-playing must also be in third person.

- Pretty posts are expected of you.
I find it boring to read just plain gray words. Give your posts some character. Add a nice color. Remember, nothing too bright that hurts our eyes. Include your character's name and picture too. If you want to, change the font. Just nothing under size ten

- Please write the words "Evil Clowns" in your character profile, so I know you read the rules.

- I have the ability to add or subtract rules as I see fit.

In this role-play, the only main character is the doctor.

When making a character, there are two choices for what specific purpose they hold. Some characters are seeking escape from the asylum, so that's what their purpose should be. Other characters have the purpose of freeing other characters from the doctor's evil clutches. You may have as many characters as you can handle.

Please PM you character's profile to me once it is finished. Be sure to title your PM "I am one who seeks refuge." for characters who are already captured, or "I am a noble, looking to free others." if you're character is looking to free others.

Please be creative when creating your characters! I love seeing well-detailed characters. You may use the basic layout or add pretty colors and fonts as long as all of the information listed is there.
