Elder Benefits
Elders can speak verbally in the same language as their keeper. They are also larger (large enough to ride) and stronger and faster than their less developed counterparts.
Elders have a 50% chance of producing an extra bundle in breedings. A breeding between two elders will always result in one more bundle than the breeding would otherwise produce.
Elders gain an extra major magical ability, and up to two additional minor abilities (player's choice)
Upon achieving the elder stage, every oura'thir is eligible for one small custom edit. More edits can be bought by spending additional roleplay points.
Graudating to Elder
When you've fullfilled your requirements (double check, we'll wait. ... Ready? Good.) Just fill out the form below and post it in this thread. Be sure to provide links to all the evidence. Please note that posting the form makes your oura'thir eligible to reach Elder status, but doesn't guarantee that it will happen right away.
Elders are an important part of the world, and those who have been more involved in the world (I.E, by completing more than the minimum requirements, and who show good quality writing and character development, etc.) will reach their elder stage soonest.
Requirements
Please note that these requirements are experimental and may be adjusted up or down depending on how difficult they are to meet.
Complete 10 RPs. RPs must be at least one full page (15 posts) in length to count as complete.
You may substitute one solo RP (probably of the Keeper and oura'thir meeting for the first time, but it doesn't have to be) for one completed RP.
Your oura'thir must have been an adult for at least a month before they can become an elder.
RPs are valued exactly like they are for RP points (as explained here), but RPs posted as requirements for your elder stage are not consumed like points are. Thus you can use threads that have already been cashed in for points, or cash in the threads after you use them as requirements.
All threads submitted as requirements must involve the oura'thir that is being made an elder somehow (even if it is just their keeper carting their bundle around)
Customization
If your pet has obtained any small permanent marks over the course of RP, such as scars, you may ask your colorist to add them. Unless you select them as your edit, these are color only.
Each elder is eligible for one minor lineart edit, such as a torn ear or a small piece of simple jewelry.
Extra edits may be bought at this time with RP points as desired, which are spent in the usual manner at the usual rates. However, your colorist does have the right to refuse these if they are excessive. You may also purchase more at a later date through the usual methods.
All pre-existing edits to your oura'thir including items will carry over into their elder form, unless you ask to have them removed or replaced.

May a different colorist graduate your oura'thir? Y/N:(Of course, we'll always try to match you with the original colorist. However, if he/she isn't available, allowing someone else to color your elder stage may speed the process along. Please be aware that some stylistic differences will probably occur if you allow us this leeway.)
Other notes: Do you have any items or edits that you *don't* want to carry over? Tell us here. It's worth noting that oura'thir with major items such as complicated barding may not be granted their elder stage as quickly as less involved oura'thir, simply because they require more time. Whether you ask to have such large items transfer over is solely at your discretion.
