What is a Dragon?
Dragons were created by Kitti Ping, a scientist specializing in genetics. They were called dragons due to their resemblence to the terran myths of the same name. They have forked tails and six limbs, four legs and wings. They have large faceted eyes that change color according to their moods. They are quite large, ranging from twenty feet to forty five feet at the largest. They have a number of abilities, which this guide will cover below.

Dragonic Abilities
Telepathy
As any rider will tell you, dragons speak within their riders' minds. While usually, dragons will only speak to their riders and to each other, they may communicate with any human, wher, or firelizard, telepathically. Their mind voices are as unique as the dragons themselves.
Teleporting
Known as going between, dragons and firelizards possess the ability to disappear, and reappear, anywhere on Pern. This happens within eight seconds, enough for a man to cough three times. In those eight seconds, dragons and dragonriders experience a void, deprived of most senses. In addition to being able to move between places, dragons also have the ability to move between times. This particular ability is not common knowledge.
Telekinesis
Most demonstrated by the phrase "They can carry as much as they think they can", dragons possess the ability to move things with their minds. This id most noticable during emeregencies or when dragons are made to carry unusally heavy loads. They can also directly move things, pushing them away from themselves. In Silver Rain's canon, knowledge of this ability is limited.

Dragonic Eye Colors And Meanings Blue/Green - Contentment, if whirling; happy, joyful, amused. Yellow - Fear, worry, confusion Red/Orange - Anger, Threadfall Red - Hunger Lavender - Stress, worry * Purple - Mating White - Danger, Worry Grey - Pain, extreme hunger, sadness Rainbow - Impression ** Notes*In the books, we only see lavander once, from Ruth, when Jaxom was near death with firehead. This suggests that lavander is only seen when the situation is dire. ** You will only ever see this once in a dragon's life, and that is at the time of Impression.
