Description: The middle daughter of the family, Arria is 16 and the playful, childish bridge between her older sister and younger brother. Energetic and bit mischievous, Arria is a somewhat rebellious child who prefers to spend most of her time outside than learning the trade of her family. The new land around her is of great fascination to the girl and her disappearance to the Ward Tree for her Choosing was only considered one of her normal trips outside. Playful, when Arria is not donning her disguise as a boy and spending time in the nearby town, she spends her time teasing her younger brother (and spoiling him later with little gifts she finds to make up for it).
The portion of Arria’s time not spend outside is taken up inside learning what she needs to know and gaining knowledge of trading. Intelligent, she has a knack for languages and cartography, but Arria has little interest in trading itself. However, she has enough manners to feign interest when it comes to dealing with matters or when offering help to her family, however rare that is. She admires her older sister somewhat, although her feelings on helping her in the business in a few years are conflicting and she is not sure if she wants to. She is more open and honest to her younger brother, although she spends most of her time teasing him rather than talking about her feelings. It will take some time for Arria to mature in order to catch up with her older sister and while her somewhat protective guardian Castus is a help, she still has a ways to go before she will become what she needs to.
