Odin is a god!! In the mythology he's the father of the mankind!
And he's the master of Asgard!

Odin was the one who brought writing (the runes) to the world. He did this by hanging from one foot on a branch of the Yggradsil tree, and after many nights the runes hovered before his eyes in a vision. This is how the humans and gods learned of the runes and how to write. The runes had magical properties, and could also be used for spells (not just writing). He also got the mead of poetry, which gives the gift of poetry if you drink it.

Odin also cut out his eye and gave it to Mimir the Wise in exchange for a drink from the Well of Knowledge. After this, Odin came to know more than any of the gods.

He has two birds, Hugin and Munin. They fly around the world every day and tell Odin everything that is going on. This way, he also continues to learn new things.
