Unsettling Woods
A dense and eerie mass of dead tress that creates a massive forest. Many people have said to wonder into these woods and have never returned. These woods are also a common place for Hollows to sneak in and attack those that are foolish enough to venture into this place.

Izuma would arrive with his Vice-captain to the location and seemed to right away sense hollows in the area. "Seal off the area...", he said giving the much older vice-captain an order to which she complied and began the incantation to a high level Bakudo spell. "The hollows here are not run of the mill...there may be Menos Grande and Ajaches...", he said as his sixth seat would appear next to him bowing once more. He would state that there are indeed powerful hollows about and that maybe the reason why so many from the veteran division where powerless to stop them. "Tell me something I don't already know...Inform the other division captains...", he order as the sixth seat complied and disappeared in a flash step.

GENTAROU FUURINJI
As Gentarou nears the Head Captain and VC, he feels a presence move by him: The Sixth Seat. He knows he's close to them now, and steps up the pace by using more energy in his Shunpos. Gentarou arrives as the VC is finishing up the seal, "Head Captain Matsubara! I decided to follow ya to help out!" Gentarou almost heaves with how much the Shunpos drained him. He'd need a few moments time to regain his breath and energy, but he managed to make it in time. However, he feels the distant energies of the Hollows, there were quite a few, and they were strong, too. Really strong.

Izuma see that Gen arrived and would give a slight look of concern, however he did say he could come. "Glad to have you aboard, however stay close...",, He ordered as he now began to move towards the think words. The Vice-Captain would finish the massive Bakudo barrier and stand from her kneel and quickly followed behind Izuma into the think woods. "Have your blades ready to be drawn at any given moment...", Izuma ordered Gen and his Vice-Captain.

Gentarou nods as he moves up to Matsubara, grabbing his sheath hanging on his back waist with his right hand. Gentarou was still a bit tired from his reckless maneuvers on the way there, but he was slowly getting his energy back, "Head Captain Matsubara, I can't thank ya enough for showing me the Shunpo technique. Not many people around here would be that kind to me." He tenses as he feels Hollows moving around, "So, uh, what kinda Hollows are we bettin' on finding here?"

Izuma would heard Gen and look over to him as they walked. "Not a problem...no point in having incapable members...Not only that you remind me of someone from my past...", he said as he then seemed sense his tenseness. "To be honest Hollows of all levels, classes, and possibly sizes..." Izuma admitted as the Vice-captain suddenly stopped and turned her back towards both Izuma and Gen.
Vice-Captain: "Captain...I will hold them off...", the elderly woman stated as she drew her blade. 'We became quite surrounded before we even knew it...", she said as she held her sword with the blade pointed to the left. "Dance Taki Nomi...", She stated releasing her Shikai to which case her blade turned into a Double Bladed Trident. "Gentarou Fuurinji...I leave the Head Captain in your hands...", she just before several hollows jumped out from the shadows and trees. It was almost in auto response that the Vice-captain avoid with a shunpo and reappeared above them. She would have a hundreds of water blades around her. "First Storm: Ame...", she said as she swung her blade causing the blades to rain down on the hollows.
It was also at this point that Izuma grabbed Gen by the collar of his uniform and flash stepped away to avoid getting caught in the cross fire and over all fight. He would stop about a mile away atop a large rock formation and release Gen just as a pillar of water erupted into the sky. "She's buying us time to find the source of the hollow leak and for any survivors...Lets not waist the time she's giving us...", he added keeping s calm demeanor, but the look on his face seemed a bit worried for her as she hadn't released her blade since the last Head Captain Golden Era.

Someone from his past? Gentarou wonders who that person was, but stops when the Captain mentions Hollows of all kinds, "A-ah, is that so? To be honest, this is my first time outside a trainin' zone for combat." When the Vice-Captain talks of 'holding them off', Gentarou is confused until he feels a sudden jump in spiritual pressure and several Hollows leap from the trees. Before Gentarou can get a word in, the Captain grabs him by the collar and hoists him away with a Shunpo to a nearby hill of rocks. He looks back to where the Vice-Captain is, sword drawn and ready to go back in when a giant wave of water shoots into the sky, "The hell..? Is that her Shikai?"
Gentarou gulps audibly, he never imagined this much of a divide between him and the top. When the Captain talks of finding the source of the Hollow leak, Gentarou brings his sheath around to his front, holding it in his free hand, "R-right."

Izuma would hear Gen ask if that was the Lt.'s Shakai and looked at him with a rather straight face. "Yes, and to be honest had she released her Bankai, we would have been completely annihilated...", he said speaking honestly as he now began to hop down from rock to rock. "She's one the oldest shinigami to alive and she's also one of the strongest being with the former Head Captain when she was alive...", he added not really paying attention if Gen was following him.
"The leak will most likely be guarded by strong hollows, so be ready...", he said as he continued to hop down from rock to rock. "And try to keep up, Lt. Takamari may be a veteran and strong, but she has her limits...Therefore we can't waste time..."

Seriously!? A Bankai as well? That Lieutenant was something else, Gentarou thinks. He quickly follows the Captain down the rocks, making sure to keep up and be on guard, the Lieutenant left the Captain in his hands, though he wasn't sure what he could do if a big Hollow came now... Aside from what he learned all of a few moments ago and his Zanpakuto, Gentarou had nothing to offer in the area of combat, "Even if it's a small stream, it flows into a big river and makes it stronger. If I can't be strong on my own, then I'll make sure to help Matsubara-Taichou however I can," Gentarou thinks as he reaches the bottom of the rocks.
Gentarou looks over to the Captain, a fire burning in his eyes, "Matsubara-Taichou, I swear I won't run from a fight. We're gonna mess up that Hollow leak, then we're gonna come back and help the Fukutaichou."

Izuma would grin when he heard Gin say he would never run from a fight. "That's good to hear, however it's not cowardice to run when your life is in mortal danger...", he said as he now seemed began to pace in the direction power spiritual energy was being released and felt. "Because if you can run and live to fight another day there is never same in that...", he said as he drew his blade. "We're about to come to an opening be ready for an ambush...", he said as he seemed very serious.

"Yeah, I don't wanna die," Gentarou snickers, "Then again, I'm already dead, aren't I?" It was quite the change from the serious moment earlier, but Gentarou thinks it would be beneficial to remain in a good mood for the battles to come. There was no telling what kinds of Hollows were going to emerge from the Leak. Gentarou follows the Head Captain to the clearing, feeling the presence of Hollows strengthen and grow. They were getting closer and closer to the source, but as they did a sense of dread came over Gentarou. He glances to his sword hand to see it shake ever so slightly. Securing the sheath in on the back of his sash, takes a moment to smack his hand and try to calm down.
Maybe it was the loud smack of skin or maybe the quaking of his hands and feet, but he feels a sudden surge of grim energy come from behind him. Wasting not one second, Gentarou leaps forward slightly, spinning around to face what it was: an average sized Hollow with a narrow but long mask, it looked like a beak that belonged to a pterodactyl or something. The olive-skinned monster races towards Gentarou as he grabs the sheath on his backside and pulls it out to block a side-swipe of the Hollow's claws. Bouncing the claw away, he takes the sheath and jabs it into the eye-socket of the Hollow. While the monster screams, Gentarou gathers energy into his hand and brings it crashing down on the sheath, "Sho [Hammer & Nail]!" The sheath shoots through the Hollow's skull, piercing the ground a few feet away as the body dissolves and leaves Gentarou gasping for air. It was his first live fight and it lasted for but a few seconds, but it felt like an eternity to Gentarou. Gentarou walks to grab his sheath and pauses as he feels the energy around him spike.
The Hollow he killed was nothing but a baby, and its momma was furious...

Izuma wuld witness Gen's skils in slaying the hollow that was before him. It was quite interesting to see him work as hard as he did and to show that he was rather determined. However when the spike of energy was felt Izuma was quick to raise his hand at Gen and charge a Kido. "Hido #54 Abolishing Flames...", he stated as he fired a purple blast that blew the head clear off of a Hollows head that was standing right behind Gen. "You're being careless...", Izuma stated as he flash stepped to avoid a hollow that attempted to crush him where he stood. He would reappeared to the left of it and place a hand on it's torso or side.
"And you are being overconfident...Hado #1 Sho...", Izuma stated addressing the hollow and shortly after using Sho to blow half of the Hollows body away. The look on his face was serious and cold as he did so. "You are to cleanse them without hesitation, you are to make sure they are all freed from this state...that is why we are shimigami remember this well Gen...", he added giving a bit of a lecture before he turned to see more hollows behind him. "It's bothersome, but please brace yourself Gen...", Izuma stated as he slowly drew his blade and released a large portion of his spiritual pressure.

GENTAROU FUURINJI
Gentarou rolls forward away from the Head Captain's attack, turning just in time to see the remains of the Hollow turn to ash and dissipate into thin air. Getting up onto his feet, Gentarou holds his zanpakuto and sheath out in front of him like dual swords and was ready for anything to pop up. However, it seems like the Head Captain was dominating this situation, the Hollow that was behind him and to the Head Captain's side were decimated in one blow each.
He hears the Head Captain talk about eliminating the Hollows without hesitation, that it was their job, "Oi, even without telling me that, I know that already!" As the Hollows began to pour into the field in numbers, he hears the Head Captain asking him to brace himself. Suddenly, the Head Captain's energy roars through the air, causing Gentarou to falter and fall to his knee. It's taking all he has to remain upright, "Such heavy spiritual pressure... This is unreal."

Izuma would drew his sword and right away with out a single moment of hesitation cut down a hollow in one stroke. Not only that there seemed to be a sudden burst with his stroke. 'Come now....this can't be all that you are capable of...", Izuma said as he the hollows suddenly let out screeches, roars, and shouts. This making him only look at them a bit puzzled as to what they were trying to accomplish with this display. "You're all being l...", Before he could finish his statement a tall shadow and strong spiritual pressure made Izuma hesitate and look up over his shoulders. To this he would see a Meno's Grande looming over him and charging a Cero. "For something like you to have gotten behind me...I must have been slacking...", he stated just before the Cero was fired down on him.
However Izuma would put his hand up and a Hexagon shaped barrier appeared not only deflecting the attack but dispersing it outwards evenly and harmlessly. "El Escudo...", was the only statement out of his mouth as the glare in his eyes was serious. "I am the Head Captain of the Gotei 13...You have no clue what I'm capable of...", Izuma warmed as he now turned his sword and had the blade pointing down. "Draw out the blueprints that give birth to my creations...Write upon the papers the strategies that shall level pathetic invasions. Drip, Oni no Fude ( Demon's Ink Brush )." With this he would release his Shikai, taking the place of his sword was a large ink or sumi brush and the look on Izuma's face seemed to be rather calm now as his spiritual pressure was still being released. To this the meno's would take a step back and look as if it was trying to retreat. "There is no escape...Sumi (Ink)", he said as his brush now released a large amount of black thick ink. "Gen, keep low...", he warned as he now brought his brush up. "Kai (Cut)", was the word out of Izuma's mouth and the character he wrote before he swung his brush and a large blade of thick ink was released at the Hollow. It was with this the large hollow was cut in two and seemed to screech in pain as it's upper half slid off it's lower.
Izuma would than turn his attention to the remaining hollows around them where he would swing his brush again releasing a wide ink blade. This cutting and slashing the hollows and nearby trees effortlessly. With all said and down Izuma would bring his spiritual pressure back down to suitable levels and look over to Gen. "My apologizes...I let my frustration get the better of me...", he said as he still had his blade in it's released state. "From this point on, it will only get much more dangerous...Do you still wish to follow me?", he asked as he looked concerned that it may be too much.
