Background Information
Tenma was born in the clan Minamimoto, Minamimoto was a clan whom had no direct Kekkei Genkai for their clan. The Minamimoto clan was visited one day by a Missing-Nin whom went by the name of Hiruko. As a gift to these shinobi Hiruko taught them the ways of the Dark Release technique. Tenma was born a few years before the Minamimoto clan massacre. Years after Tenma's birth the shinobi of the surrounding nations decided that the clan's existence could damage the 'Great Nations' chances of success in the Fourth Shinobi War, due to their fear of Tobi/Madara being able to use their power to his aid. On a day that started out so calm and quiet, became the worst day in Tenma's life, the massacre of his clan began. In what seemed like an instant the surrounding homes were set aflame, as cries for help filled the village, many clansmen fought back, but their attempts were futile. Tenma's mother wished to only protect her son, so she placed him in a well outside of the village to protect him from the fate of such a untimely death. As the ashes of burning buildings fall into the well the Tenma knew that this might have been his final moments seeing his mother. He tried to climb out of the well to save his mother, but as he peeked his head out of the well he saw his mother's lifeless body laid down on the ground. Enraged Tenma's heart became 'pitch-black'. In an instant Tenma began to lash out at the shinobi in pure rage, a normal shinobi would've fell after a matter of minutes when put against this many Shinobi, but as the shinobi began to over-power Tenma something happened. Tenma's right eye began to change it's shape, his iris began to resemble a smaller image of the twin rhombuses on Hiruko's hand, with this Tenma created a new form of his clan's taught technique, Dark Release: Inhaling Maw, but instead of absorbing using his hand(s) he used his eye which made it more convenient, but with him using his eye for this technique it began to put more stress on him. Using his technique Tenma began to absorb the 'life-force' directly from the shinobi not only stealing their abilities, but also using their stolen strength/stamina to his advantage. Fighting the shinobi for an entire night was still tiring, even for a shinobi with Tenma's status, which resulted in him disappearing from the 'battlefield' in the mist of the action. Fleeing the village Tenma rushed to find help, for he was in much-much pain, he found a small village that he stayed in for one week, where they healed his eye, and sown an eye patch on it, due to them believing tat he was "blind" due to his unusual eye Iris. After getting assistance from this village Tenma disappeared once again. Many years after the massacre Tenma had 'disappeared from the face of the world' leaving zero traces of himself. One day in Tenma's travels he set out to find the ancient temple in-which held the 'King of Serpents', the Basilisk. Tenma wanted to form an 'agreement' with the Basilisk, but with the Basilisk's grown hatred for the shinobi of the ninja world, the basilisk simply wanted to exterminate Tenma. They fought for minutes, which turned to hours, and the hours turned to days. The Basilisk eventually gave in to the battle, and agreed to partner up with Tenma. Due to their equal hatred for the shinobi of the ninja world they had the same objective for their actions, to get revenge on the Ninja world. Later that year, Tenma heard word of a unusual organization whom were lead by a ninja whom could 'absorb shinobi'. With this kind of name Tenma knew that it had to be a survivor of the Minamimoto clan. He traveled across the ninja world to find this group of unusual shinobi, and his guess was right; the leader was in fact apart of the Minamimoto clan. Tenma now travels the ninja world apart of this organization named 'The Immortals'. He now has his final goal, which is to seek revenge on the ninja world for the massacre of his clan.
