Wren saluted the captain, bowing her head slightly. "I'll keep an eye on her," she said, dropping her arms and nodding politely before following Elin out of the large office.
"Well, that was easy," she said, rather relieved. "The Captain seems alright," she added, keeping close beside the other girl as they followed the corridor. The echoes of their boots filled the stone hallway, reverberating between the walls loudly. Part of the trip had reminded Wren of all the official business she'd had to handle when joining the Corps. Thankfully, she wasn't having to read and sign off on a load of affidavits this time, warning her of the likelihood of dying in combat.
"So I get to see your room now, eh?" She raised an eyebrow, somewhat amused at the idea of what Elin's living space may look like.
