He who dares...

Jason walked through the rural district of Yalkell, hands in his pockets. He wasn't going anywhere in particular. Just getting way from the hustle and bustle of the inner walls was enough. Besides, the fresh open air felt a lot better than the stale air of the city. He looked around at the people though of course he didn't recognize any of them or expect to. He had never been here before. It seemed like a nice enough place if you were into that sort of thing, though despite enjoying the occasional outing, Jason was a city kid through and through. He had grown up in the slums and it was where he felt most comfortable. The rural areas were a nice but temporary break. He eventually found a bench under the shade of some trees and sat down, leaning against the back of it and closing his eyes as he enjoyed the feel of the sunshine on his skin.

Jason opened one eye as he felt the weight of the bench shift as someone sat on it next to him. He opened both eyes fully when he saw it was another solider. He hadn't expected to see another one out here. He was out of uniform at the moment so he looked like a regular person. Except for the fact that he was wearing his 3-D gear. Ever since it had been proven that titans could break through the walls, he went almost no where without it. The last thing he wanted was to be caught helpless as those things barreled towards him. He was too surprised by her presence for a moment to speak. "Hey," he said finally, noticing she was a member of the garrison. He sat up on the bench, giving her a grin. "So are you off-duty or avoiding it?" He joked, wondering what brought her out to a remote place like this. Maybe she had to take a break from the city too?
