His blonde hair tends to be styled up, leaving his bangs longer, when wet they can cover his eyes and go a little further than his nose, while the rest of his hair is kept short. He does this so his hair isn't in the way and it doesn't get super hot for him and so he can keep his individuality. By spiking his hair up he reveals emerald green orbs which captivate most people. They are warm and sparkly when worn with a smile but will turn into a darker green resembling a forest when he is angry or sad. He is somewhat skinny looking when seen with clothing but underneath are some sick abs from all the running he's done in the Second Squad. Due to all the running he also has some thick leg muscles with high endurance. His arms appear thin but only because he conditions them rather than buffing them so that enemies will underestimate his true strength giving him the element of surprise. Wardrobe | Being a shinigami he can usually be seen in sleeveless kosode and regular hakama, both of which are a dark black color with a white sash. He also wears a white scarf loosely around his neck letting it drape down his side. He tends to wear two gold earrings that cup his ears and one that hands down from his earlobe. When he goes into battle however, he will remove the one that dangles seeing it as a possible weakness and annoyance. He wears black gloves to avoid the cold so he won't lose feeling in his hands even though he is well conditioned to being cold weather.
Whenever he goes into battle with previous knowledge he wears something a little different. Rather then sporting the black kosode and hakama with white belt, Takuma chooses to wear a white sleeveless kosode and a white hakama, keeping it together with a white belt. He continues to wear his white scarf and switches his gloves from black to white to match the rest of his white attire. For going into battle with this he has gained one of his alias, Snow Prince because his hair points up like a crown while the rest of his wardrobe is white. Quirks Motherly - Even though he belongs to the 2nd Squad who are known to be ruthless killers and torturous he is actually a very kind person when not in the eyes of danger or when he's not on the clock. He extends his loving arms to any shinigami and even animal that he sees in injury or in seek of attention. He puts others before himself and tends to make sure that others are content before he relaxes on his own. Unless he is deadly busy, he does favors that are asked of him as soon as they are requested so that people don't seem him as a liar. Knowledgeable - He tends to be very knowledgeable in everything he does to some extent. He hates to head into something blind, instead he researches his enemy or activity to some degree before starting his missions and other things. Thankfully he has an exquisite memory, people thinking it's photographic, so he doesn't have to spend an eternity and a half trying to remember import things. Rather he looks over it a few times, picking out the important things and focusing on those to not be surprised. Of course there are certain things he isn't allowed to know until during or after a battle, such as other shinigami abilities, which upsets him but he notices the little quirks of others and their tendencies to come up with a solution to the problem as quickly as possible. Honest - Takuma doesn't tell lies and his honesty even gets to the point of being rude. He doesn't like to sugar coat much seeing it as avoiding the problem he is facing. He goes with the mindset that he would never hold his sword against an enemy, so he shouldn't be forced to hold is tongue to a friend. Because of this he hardly has a filter and lets things slip out of his mouth even if he didn't mean to. Occasionally he catches himself saying something he shouldn't such as a cuss word and he will fix it because it's more of a respect thing then it telling the truth. Passionate - Takuma does everything seriously and with as much passion as he does whenever he takes care of someone. He refuses to let anything slip out of his hands and doesn't believe that one job should take more than one try to accomplish perfectly. That doesn't stop him from doing something until he can do it perfectly however. Quite the contrary really, he will endlessly do the same thing multiple times until he can perform at a satisfactory level quitting only once he masters it or if he absolutely can not do it at which point he hides in depression because of it. Prologue "Girl Falls for Boy.." About 571 years ago Nothing had made her happier than freedom, knowing it could be taken frightened her more than the hell she had came from.
This story begins in 841 A.D. It begins like any other tale. Boy meets girl. Girl falls for boy. Boy marries girl. You know the drill. The only difference is how they met and how the tragedy began.
Takuma's mother was a Japanese women, forced into slavery. From a young age she had been traded across her country. There was a man, Takuma's father, who had came from Irish descent. He lived in Japan while the trade was occurring. he had seen her being escorted across his village and feel in love. She begged for help with her eyes, speaking forbidden unless spoken to. He heeded her call, getting prepared for the ambush. There was a forest trail and on this trail his father lay in wait. He knew what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. The only problem was he was out numbered, but getting rid of one man only left one more to deal with. The woman was crying still, even though she knew her fate. It never got easier. Wak! The sound of wood against bone resonated through the abandoned forest. There was a yelp from the girl as one of her captors fell. The other captor pulled out sword and swung it at Takuma's father. Thankfully he blocked with his wooden club getting it stuck inside as well. Seeing this the father removed the sword and used it to kill the captive and the man who laid on the forest floor passed out. After he did he set the other girl free.
"Arigatou (Thank you)" the woman said bowing. "Dōitashimashite (You're Welcome)" the man replied. He took hold of her hand putting back in it's sheath and holding on to it. "Kuru (Come)..." he said as he took a step up the path.
The woman followed not saying a word from having been trained. They walked up the path as quickly as possible not sure whether they would be chased or not and figured it was best not to find out. They traveled for days, the man running out of money before they found what they were looking for. They were forced to stop for a few days, the man looking for a job for the while. He found a job and while he was working he heard talk of a geisha who was no where to be found and that she was being hunted as they spoke. Hearing this the man panicked and fled stealing as much money as he could. He and the women had been living in a cave near the town, close enough for him to work but far enough for no one to snoop around. He ran to her as quickly as possible. He was greeted with a kiss, the urgency not apparent as he was winded from the mini hike to reach the cave. He quickly explained to her what had happened, her face turning in shock and trembling from fear. Nothing had made her happier than freedom, knowing it could be taken frightened her more than the hell she had came from. They fled once more, waiting until night fall even though they could not see where they went, but it was much more safer than traveling when someone could see them. Eventually they were in the middle of nowhere. They had no clue at all where they had ended up all they knew was no one was near. They had managed to find a shack that had been built and even abandoned. Seizing the opportunity the pair fixed it up slightly and noticed the animals that lived nearby. He hunted them as best as he could to eat them and eventually raise them. Occasionally he would go back and forth from their little "home" to the nearest village where he would either purchase something or trade something. All to keep them alive. Without knowing any better he felt that the troubles were far away, blocked by the treacherous mountains they had crossed at one point and that nothing would ever harm her or him ever again. But was he wrong.
Chapter OneLife 567 Years Ago His life was perfect, even with the little imperfections, and he couldn't ask for anything more because it was all he'd ever known.
It was a cold December morning. Takuma's father had awoken to make sure the animals water was not frozen. As he searched and fed the animals he heard a distant cry and what sounded like wood hitting the ground. Frightened he ran inside the shack they had made their home years before.
"Honey!" he cried searching, "where are you?" He heard another scream and ran to where it was coming from. In the addition of the shack he found his wife on the floor screaming and crying.
It had been 9 months since the pregnancy began. They had waited for years before deciding that they were ready to have a baby. Once everything was completed and nothing else could be done without raising alarm they started their family. Now here was his wife, delivering the angel they had dreamed about for so long. He reached down to pick up her up off the ground taking her to their bed. She continued to scream and cry as she was placed on the bed, her breathing had become much more struggled as she felt the giant pain once more. She screamed louder and started pushing. At this point she didn't care that her baby was coming out, all she knew was that it needed to be out at all costs. Her husband noticing this ran to get a towel and a knife at least. By the time he returned the child was already crowning, the head poking out ever so slightly. The mother continued to scream as she pushed. Once. Twice. Three times. Yet it seemed like it the baby hadn't moved at all. He tried calming his wife to no avail as she gave one giant push feeling the baby slide the rest of the way out. Quickly the new father cut the umbilical cord and made sure the baby was breathing tapping it until it began to scream. He looked at the baby with bright eyes, his wife passed out on the bed, tears still streaming down her face. She deserved the rest though knowing that nothing would make her happier than to know she had a beautiful baby boy to her name. They named the child Takuma Nakahara not that it was really official since he was born without the need of a doctor.
His parents loved and took care of the child, hoping that no harm would ever come to him and for the most part nothing did happen to him. He was a strong baby even in the cold, illness was never an issue for the boy and that relieved his parents from having to trek through the snow and ice to get him to the nearest doctor who might know who the mother is. When he was able to walk on his own he went outside in the warm summer days to play with the animals babies finding comfort with them. His mother and father would just laugh whenever he would play with the little pigs in the mud, a light scolding is all he received for this act. When fall came back around he played with the leaf piles that were labored into little hills to be removed. This time he received a bigger scolding only because he was older though. His first winter walking was the funnest, when the snow started falling he would leave the home and play outside while his dad fed whatever animals he still had and would find himself frosty and cold but enjoying the feeling and taste of the snow. Every year from then on continued in this manner, Takuma getting wiser and stronger, helping his father raise the animals and harvest the fields that kept them alive. He would help his mother with whatever she needed and went into town on his own because his parents were to busy. It never occurred to him why he was sent on his own but he did it with no complaints. His life was perfect, even with the little imperfections, and he couldn't ask for anything more because it was all he'd ever known.
Chapter Two Death 546 Years ago He was foolish to believe that nothing was wrong, but how could he had ever known otherwise?
It was twenty-one years and a few months later from that cold December morning. Takuma was now a man and while he was given the option to leave and make his own life in Japan, he just couldn't leave his now elderly parents alone. That wasn't the only reason he refused to leave. A piece of him knew that he didn't want to be anywhere else in the world due to how cruel it could be. With his journeys to town he was forced to interact with others and he didn't really mind that but he always got distracted by the poverty level. He would always find a child on one of the corners and it hurt him to know that he was powerless to help the child. He would simply walk by with his head facing the ground pretending that he didn't see the dying child. The cruel world wasn't somewhere for him to experience, rather he didn't need to experience. Where he lived he could see that further interaction with people was not necessary and he decided that he would not do anything to change that.
Anyways. It one of the last days of winter, spring was just around the corner. one last snowstorm hit the farm and everything within miles and with this there was a pair of men who had been stranded. Takuma had found them when he was tending to the animals, he wanted his father to stay warm, and saw that the storm was only getting worse. Now he knew that they didn't have much food but he couldn't bear to let two strangers die in what would become a blizzard. He led them to his home and introduced them to his parents. One of the strangers knew the mothers name, but he couldn't remember where. His parents looked skeptical about the introduction but they went with it anyways. It was the third day of the blizzard and the strangers finally understood who the women was. At this point everything went downhill. Regret would fill the boy at his final moments of being able to see his parents. If he was able to remember what had happened he would have thought that he was foolish to believe that nothing was wrong, but how could he had ever known otherwise?
One of the men grabbed the son of the couple and held him captive. There was a hand covering his mouth and a knife at his throat. A scream rang through their home as the mother broke down in her husbands

Zanpakutō Name | Hokkyoku Sairen English Translation | Arctic Siren Zanpakutō Element | Snow/Ice Zanpakutō Spirit | When first meeting Hokkyoku Sairen, she appears as a child no older than five years. The tiny brunette is playful by spirit and always builds snowmen to accompany her in her lonely realm. She tends to sing and whenever she notices you she forces you to build snowmen with her, promising to let you leave only after you finish one hundred snowmen and after learning something new. The task at hand is no problem and in fact Takuma rather enjoys building snowmen with the little witch, however, the learning process is much more vigorous. At this point the child transforms into a more violent woman who brings the snowmen you created to life. The white haired woman is more spiteful then her child counterpart from years of lonely isolation. She is easily angered and unleashes the anger upon you vowing to destroy Takuma to possess him. At this point he is allowed to have his zanpakuto back and must combat the snowmen and the witch herself. Most of the time his learning process is internal, something that he had been dealing with but was avoiding, other times it's about his own personal abilities. Think of it as a personal trainer, forcing him to run from her wicked spells or conditioning him to the arctic atmosphere. Once he finishes however, she smiles at him and congratulates him on his improvement. Before she and the world vanish she says the same thing, "Remember, the world is only as cold as the people in it... However, you can't always be a beacon, sometimes you have to be colder then everyone else in the world..." Zanpakutō Inner World | The home of Hokkyoku Sairen appears to be a barren wasteland of snow and ice with a temple like structure where she resides when she wishes to take a rest from building snowmen. There are many jagged rocks reaching to touch one another. The temple appears to be in the middle of these rocks and as a valley to mountains that encloses the world from anything else. There is miles and miles of nothing, only snow. The temperatures are always below freezing and tend to be windy each breeze like a knife to the skin. At night the temperatures drop even more reaching negative numbers. The snow is constant in this land, not a single day where it stops even when the sun is out, yet it height never rises nor drops from day to day.

Zanpakutō Activation Statement | Karera no tamashī aisu o animēshon-ka! (Animate the Ice in their Soul!) Zanpakutō Blade Changes | The blade itself doesn't change remaining the same size. The only difference is the freezing blue Aura that swims around the blade. The aura falls from the tip down the blade and past the hilt, once it passes the hilt it turns into snow that falls gently to the ground. When hit with the sword it leaves the feeling of frost bite. Shikai Abilities Burizādobēru (Blizzard Veil) This technique is required to be activated before Takuma is granted access to his next technique, Yuki majo no sōzō (Snow Witch's Creation). With this in mind, whenever he activates this technique it's effects last as long as the shikai is activated or until he cancels the 'blizzard'. The temperature drops and snow and wind is summoned from the heavens creating an artificial blizzard whose reach covers everything from the ground to the sky and out about 100-150 yards. This blizzard quickly blankets the ground [1-2 Posts] with enough snow to activate his other technique. Being inside a blizzard makes it almost impossible to see anything farther than 10 yards in front of anyone inside. The best way to navigate is by using the spiritual pressure of others, but when it is concealed it becomes complicated to trek through it. This part of the technique can be avoided by using a wind type ability to keep the snow out of the visions way. Fire can also be used however, it would create steam revealing where they're at and it would only make the vision worse. To cancel the 'blizzard' part he raises his sword straight to the heavens saying the name "Yuki bēru (Snow Veil)" which cancels the wind making the snow falls straight down and clearing up the vision of everyone that was inside but keeping the snow to where he can continue to use the rest of his techniques. By canceling the blizzard though he gives up the part of this technique which can be used as an assassination game. The objective would be to get to the opponent before they can find you and kill them without them knowing. Because Takuma intends to play this game, before he goes into combat he will change into as much white as possible to reveal as little of himself as possible. When others had seen him after an assassination he was given the name Snow Prince for being able to trek through and find his prey. From this point however, fire is the best bet for getting rid of the snow but it would still create steam which would hinder the visibility of the fire user. The snow would just be replenished though, unless Takuma can be knocked unconscious or be forced to stop his shikai. Yuki majo no sōzō (Snow Witch's Creation) This technique can only be activated after Burizādobēru (Blizzard Veil) and can be used as long as there is snow touching the ground or in the sky. The technique is activated by forming a circle in the snow on the ground, doing so would create the snowman [1 Post] but the true 'magic' would be when he adds in his own Reiryoku into it. By doing this the snowman comes to life being able to function with one thought in it's mind. The mindset of said snowman is manipulated by what is going through Takuma's head at the time [1 additional post]. The most common commands are attack and defend, but they have been known to chase as well. In the case of attack the snowman would charge forward towards the enemy as long as it is touching snow, ice, or even water, allowing it to go into the sky as well, ramming into the opponent. The damage given isn't anything major, but it can be overwhelming when circled by other snowman at the same time. In the case of defend the snowman will move to wherever he has in mind and stand guard to protect anything behind it. To avoid either of these to happen the path to get to them must be removed, whether by pushing the snow away by wind as best as possible or by melting the snowman by fire or water. The best way to go about destroying the snowmen however would be to get rid of the head either by taking it from the body or by obliterating the head from existence. Attacking any other spot would do virtually nothing because the snow would just fill back in. There is a limit to how many snowmen he can make however, at his current level, a maximum of 10 because of having to add in additional Reiryoku. Destroying them does not return the energy back to him, instead it just vanishes. Because of the spirit pressure inside the snowmen they come into radar when sensing for other pressures misleading opponents, and even teammates, on how many people are actually there. Once the 10 snowmen has been exceeded he has to regenerate before summoning another snowman [2 Posts wait = 1 Snowman] causing him to be careful with how many snowmen he makes at a time. Aisusuperu: Reitō danmaku (Ice Spell: Frozen Barrage) This technique is the last technique that Takuma can use. This technique, unlike the others, does not snow. In fact, it uses the blue aura that swims down the blade. (View Blade Changes) Using the name and focusing his energy into the blade the aura ceases to move down the blade, instead appearing to freeze in space. He thrusts the sword froward and six icicles fly forward towards it's target. The trajectory of the icicles can not be changed unless using some sort of kido to change it or being reflected by a sword. Other then that the track it is on is fairly linear. They can easily be destroyed by a flame of shikai level or greater and by Hado that is higher than 31. Shakkahō. The length of the icicles is about a foot long by an inch wide. The farther it travels the the thinner and more sharp it becomes due to the wind resistance. If the enemy is within fifty yards of Takuma they receive the damage of a punch, fifty to 100 yards is a dull knife, 100 to 150 yards is about a regular blade, 150 to 200 yards is about the pain of a needle piercing the flesh. Anything higher then that is just pretty much nothing. The best distance for him to attack is the 100 to 150 yards but he will use it at any distance if it gives him an opportunity to attack or time to come up with another strategy.

Zanjutsu | Takuma is proficient in the art of swordsmanship using a number of different techniques but mostly relying on the forms from the Spanish and Italian Fencing methods. Spanish fencing relies more on countering by using movements by turning around the opponent while the Italian fencing uses different forms whether standing straight up or crouching and by using the spare hand, or dagger, as a method of grabbing, or halting, the opponents attacking hand to stop an attack. Hakuda | His level of martial arts is above average but far from becoming a master. He isn't trained in any specific discipline but prefers to use more of the gladiator grappling methods in order to submit an opponent to make it easier kill them. Hohō | Takuma is very fast on his feet thanks to so much training of his Spanish Fencing techniques, also beecause of the footwork he has a faster dash then others. Being a third seat, however, he hasn't quite learned the Flash Step yet. He intends to master the basics to be able to at least use the Shunpo in combat to help his attacking and assassination.
13 Point Total: Air Walk: A skill, though not necessarily related, is the Soul Reaper ability to walk on air using spiritual energy. By collecting and solidifying spiritual particles beneath their feet, Soul Reapers can gain traction on thin air to either freely move about or to stop themselves from falling. This particular ability can only be obtained from officer level. This will act as a generic overview of Hohō and wont cost anything against the user, if they use this technique.
Dashing: A most basic technique that allows the user to throw him/herself to a certain direction using a certain angle of which way the stance is directed and executed. Based on an individual's attributes, dashing can be quite a moderately fast move instead of running. Also depending on the distance, dashing can be quite useful if in closer range to the opponent. This technique is basically for all ranks. However, this will cost 1/2 of your Speed Points.
Shunpo (Flash-Step): A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. This technique requires a very high level of training, thus a most difficult one to obtain. One, who is of a high lieutenant ranking, must be able to possess Shunpo. Furthermore, it is a most fearsome mid-range/long-range speed known to be the exceeding ability than dashing. All in all, this ability can only be used by lieutenants and captains. For lieutenants it is nearly mastered, yet not perfected. Therefore, it is only of mid-range level 1. For captains Shunpo is of a level 2 maximum ability in which it is fully perfected for both mid-range and long-range. This ability takes one speed point away.
