What does it take to get thrown into Guantanamo Bay, because I was thinking about violent revolution.
The only thing holding me back is my Buddhist practice and the fear of torture, but it's something I've been considering.

I've heard stories where simple keywords like "bomb" said over the phone with some other things have lead to some brutal investigations.
I had a friend once who tried looking up a movie. I remember the story being told from one my mom's friends as they were friends.
( A lot of adult friends and all. Such a hassle... )
Anyone, he was looking up this movie called "Dead President" over some search engine. He was taken in for questioning. Haven't heard from him or about him since.
This was years ago when America was more insane about terrorists. However, that might give you an idea of how easy it is to just be taken away.
For someone that doesn't plan on anything to be taken, imagine how easy it is for someone who does?
Don't focus on violent revolution right now. You are outnumbered and would need national support just for the chance to get anywhere. You'd probably do more harm than good honestly as violent revolution must be organized well.
Focus more on peaceful protest and petitioning. Work with the system until nature takes the course to chaos.

from what I've observed, there's prison, and then there's guantanamo.
fully automatic weapons, silencers, sawed off shot guns, and generic death threats or arson will get you prison
explosives, political assassinations, and malicious hacking will get you guantanamo
There's some grey area where you can end up in either.
There's also places like Gauntanamo in other countries maintained by the American government, but they have different names.
There's another grey area where they go out of their way to kill you, like that police officer who went rogue in California and ran into the mountains, or that sniper guy kyle, or the brietbart guy.
So basically, there's prison, execution, and guantanamo, in ascending order of bad. In the last case, as you know, they have doctors that keep restarting your heart after you die, so execution is a preferred punishment. Prison people actually get released after a number of years, and some even get hired by corporations and government. It's all very shady.
If a Buddhist is talking about violent revolution, then you know the country has entered a zone where the Balance is no longer present. I hope others take notice of this fact.

People keep on saying on Facebook and all over the internet that are government is corrupt, even to the extent that they want to abolish government correctly, which is where I come in. Now what I always get frustrated with is that people keep on saying what is wrong, but never say what can be done or organize anything to push their opinions. Unless I'm looking in the wrong places. What are we to do in our current position?
