THE SANDWATCHERS
From the highest peaks of the Northern Cliffs, from the eastern reaches of reddened stone, come down the watchers marked with bone, following following the carrion's crow.

I. Pack Overview
The Northern Cliffs are dangerous lands for strangers. Though prey may thrive in the lower steppes, the land is treacherous and winding, and many a Sentinel has gotten lost – only to end too close to the heat of the Hearth or gripped by starvation in the Shifting Desert. But for all those that are lost, some are found – saved by those that guard the gateway between fire and sand.
Before the arrival of the Alpha Carrion, the Sandwatchers were a nameless band of Sentinels forced to hunt together, den together, and survive together in the harsh, buffeted eastern Cliffs. By the Alpha’s hands and witted tongue, the pack has become a cult born from tales of the Hearth and the hungry Desert, guarding and protecting the boundaries between the Northern Cliffs and the Shifting Desert.
II. Pack Beliefs & Rituals
Living so close to both the Hearth and the Shifting Desert strains the spirit. Some things cannot be explained through logic, so the Sandwatchers under the eye of Carrion, have turned to lore. Carrion in particular is a devout believer that the Splinter manifests as the Shifting Desert, and that one day the Desert will swallow them all. The Sandwatchers believe it is their duty to guard the entrances between the Shifting Desert and the Northern Cliffs to make sure none of the beasts of the Desert ever make it into Hearthside.
A. The Wounded Earth, the Hungry Desert, and the Splinter The Sandwatchers are disciples of the Wounded Earth, a belief that the land is healing from the evil wrought on it by the Splinter thousands of years ago, and that the Hearth is a manifestation of a healing wound. Furthermore, the Sandwatchers believe that the impenetrable Shifting Desert is a child of the Splinter. By watching the Desert and killing anything that dares bridge between the sheer cliff-face and the sand, the Sandwatchers believe they can prevent the metaphorical infection of the Hearth by the Splinter.
B. Pack Initiation & Scarring Those that wish to follow the ways of the Sandwatchers are ritualized by the Alpha and her Seconds through the scarring of their flank by the Alpha. Each ritual is unique to the member and Carrion, but the scar is the same: a crude symbol of an eye on the left thigh. In order to qualify for the pack symbol, pack members must have completed at least one pack-oriented roleplay and an initiation roleplay with the Alpha or either of the Seconds.
III. Location & Territories
The Sandwatchers claim a relatively large territory spanning part of the eastern canyons in the Northern Cliffs, including the precipices that separate the Cliffs from the Shifting Desert. The pack is under constant siege from the sandstorms that rage in the Desert. Due to the oppressive heat and blinding sunlight, the Sandwatchers find themselves operating mostly at dusk and hunting at night.
The territory, though expansive, lacks in water sources and good hunting. The remote location means that although there is little territory disputes with other packs, water is hoarded with savage regard and inter-pack squabbles over food can lead to death.

IV. Pack Rankings & Members
ALPHA – The Pack Leader Carrion is the current pack leader. She is a monstrously large, heavy-set Sentinel with sharpened, saw-like teeth and claws, a cunning mind, and arrogant gait. Supposedly born in the prey-rich shrublands of the Boiling Lake, she found herself lost in the deep crevices of the Northern Cliffs before the then-nameless pack found her. Deeply superstitious from the horrors she had encountered in the Cliffs, she plotted to turn the pack into her loyal guard. Carrion, after months of circling, killed the previous Alpha and resumed power. Reclaiming them the Sandwatchers, Carrion plans to use the pack to guard entry from the desert into the cliffs.

VI. Pack Contests & Applications
All Sentinels who happen to wander to the eastern Northern Cliffs are welcome to join. There is no official requirement to become a member aside from posting your interest.
Before you consider joining, be aware that will likely be a lore/meta-driven pack. The Alpha, at least, is no slouch and will be on the front-lines to whatever plot happens to arise. Although Watchers are free to come and go as they please, I do expect Seconds, Guards, and any future Alpha Potentia to have more active roles. <3

After reading all of this, I think Silt would fit right in, since his character's all about serving a greater purpose even when he doesn't always completely agree or understand. +_+ He'd totally want to climb, too, so I think I'd like to shoot for Guard someday when that opens up.

Soldier of Song After reading all of this, I think Silt would fit right in, since his character's all about serving a greater purpose even when he doesn't always completely agree or understand. +_+ He'd totally want to climb, too, so I think I'd like to shoot for Guard someday when that opens up. I do believe Silt would make an excellent addition to the Sandwatchers! Carrion would certainly love to dominate him - or at the very least, bully him - because he's the kind of personality she'd love to hate and love to keep.
(I like your "Currently" descriptions, they're very apt. 8D)
