Personality

Base Alignment: CN

Personality description:

On the surface:
Alexandria is a young woman who knows what she wants, and what she wants is to be able to retire comfortably (by her own definition of 'comfortable,' which includes copious quantities of velvet and fine wine.) and enjoy herself, free of care and troubles for the rest of her days. She's a bon vivant and a rake, at home in the fanciest of ballrooms seducing naiive young noblemen or dangling upside down from a roofline on a moonless night.

Deep Down:
Alexandria is a young woman who is sick of wanting for even the most basic necessities. If she could provide for every hungry orphan and homeless adult in Sunderland, she would. But she has (reluctantly) accepted that she can't and never will be able to fix the broken system that allows the rich to grow fat while the poor starve. So she's set out to make it work for her, instead.

But Alexandria lacks confidence in herself. She has absolute faith in her ability to fool a mark or slip past security, but behind that mask is a scared, hungry little girl who is terrified of being made a victim again.

Abilities/Powers:
Lockpicking, acrobatics, and disguise are house specialties. She uses the spellwork she learned from the troupe's fortune-teller to go unseen or at least unnoticed and to keep luck on her side, mostly.

Brief Biography:

Alexandria was orphaned when she was young and lived on the street for several months. She'd have starved or frozen to death (or worse) except that she was taken in by a kindly old man who ran a traveling theater troupe. Unfortunately, the first thing young Alex learned is that there's no such thing as a free lunch. The "kindly" old man was a predator of the worst character who preyed on the weak, but he taught Alexandria the art of the con before they parted ways (her with a large sack of guineas they had liberated from a gullible young nobleman together, and him with said noble's hands about his fat neck).

Now she's on her own, trying to make enough of a fortune that she can give up the life of a master criminal and retire. So far? It's not going well.
Friends:

Family: None that live (of which she is aware, but if someone wants to give her a stroke by introducing long-lost kin, I'm game.)

Enemies: Many and varied.
