"Fintan, as annoying as this may be for you could you please stop that" Ziya sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. Why had he agreed to this again? He knew right from the get go bringing Fintan with him to the market was a bad idea. Hell, going to the market in the first place was a poor idea. Crowds still made the young man uneasy with his skewed sight and over all injury but Ashton wouldn't ask him if he didn't have any other choice.

"I was doing the man a favour if you as me," Fintan drawled, stuffing his hands into his pockets with a frown. It was bloody cold out and doing the shopping was beyond dull. "His wife was sleeping with his brother, rather obvious really with the size of tha-"

"Can you just not please Fin? I can't defend you if someone decides to take it out of your hide" Ziya bit out, his fists clenching at having to admit that fact.

The little bird grew very quiet, looking at his older brother with softening molten gold eyes. It had been a hard month for all of them and with Ziya being hurt like he had been. The other dust had changed completely, withdrawing from the family in general. Ashton had tried talking to him but nothing seemed to be helping. Fintan had deduced loosely what had happened and even he knew not to bring it up to his brother. He was trying in his own awkward way to try and coax some of what his brother used to be out of him but nothing seemed to be working.

"Alright, sorry...." Fintan sighed, rubbing a tanned hand through his brilliant orange hair. "Lets get a coffee before we tackle the market."

Ziya nodded a little and the pair walked through the cold wintery morning towards the coffee shop a few blocks away from the main drag of the marketplace.

The sound of tinkling laughter from children could be heard deeper in the market. A group of them fleeing from a hooded teen who jumped out with a loud "Boo!" He giggled softly as two of the smaller children covered their mouths in laughter and squealed with delight as he scooped them up in arms tickling their chubby tummies. Setting them back to solid ground he covered his eyes and began counting. "Hurry kids you have to hide." Cadaver informed peeking from behind his fingers.

The two cherubs giggled gleefully and scuttled off to try and hide. Most of the local shop owners were used to his daily antics. Coming into the market always brought with him a train of children asking to play. Cada finished his countdown and looked around, noting several children in plain sight. He decided to let them stew while he looked for the younger ones whom had finished crawling under a fruit stand. He chuckled to himself moving over to the stand. With a finger to his lips for silence to the merchant he quickly lifted the sheet. Two squealing cherubs scurried out rushing away. "Oh no you don't." He called snagging them both into his arms and spinning them happily. The other children hurried to the safe spot while he was occupied but he let the two of them go. "Now you're it. Go get'em." And with his command the two of them hurried after the remaining kids tagging which ever they could catch.

Gathering his bag from the merchant he handed the man some money and moved along, waving to the playing children. "Bye, Cada!" They all waved in return. Heading further into the market, he continued with his shopping, looking around for anything interesting to eat or some trinket, Weiss might like.

Ziya flinched a little as the children rushed loudly past him, his jaw setting tightly as he breathed out slowly through his nose. God, he wasn't sure if he could do this. Leaning against the wall a little, the lightening teen tried to control his breathing as breath as best as he could. Closing his eye for a moment, he tried to get himself to relax as the sounds of the market filled his ears.

"Ziya.... did you need to go home?" Fintan asked softly, pausing as he stood just a few feet ahead of the other. He looked back out at the market area and frowned, looking at what sorts of people that were mingling around where they needed to go. His calculating gaze spotted a few things but what caught his interest was the other due the spotted.

"I only see one pickpocket, two venders over charging and only ah... one guy who is selling stolen merch.. it won't be so bad" He smiled a little.

Nodding, Ziya took another deep breath and walked out into the market, relaxing a little when Fintan kept close. As they were going a familiar face seemed to flash past him which caused him to pause. It was someone whom eh hand;t seen in quite a long time.

"Cada?"

He had been looking at a strange cat figurine when he heard his name being called softly. Setting the figurine down he turned in question looking for the familiar voice to the hopefully familiar face. Once he found who he was looking for he brightened for a moment but just as quickly his face fell taking in the unexpected appearance of his friend. "Ziya?" The unspoken question remained in the air, but Cada had never been one to push.

Without much thought to the obvious, Cada moved forward wrapping his friend in a gentle yet warm embrace. "You have been missed. Geez... I've missed you so much." Stepping back he took in his friend turning a curious gaze upon the child with him. His attention back on Ziya he asked, "What have you been up to?"

Ziya couldn't imagine the horrid picture he painted for his old friend. The bandage that stretched over his left eye to cover it was still thick however the bandages on his left shoulder wounds were a tad thinner. His eye wasn't healing well unlike the rest of him and the doctors couldn't figure out why. All they knew for sure was that he'd never regain sight in it. Sparing the other a half smile, the lightening dust suppressed the flinch as he returned the gentle hug.

"I've missed you too Cada, its been far to long" Ziya said softly, stepping back and itched just under his bandage. "Ah, nothing too good I'm afraid...."

"And what am I then?" Fintan finally spoke up, his tone disgruntle. The little firebird huffed, "I am his little brother Fintan... phoenix dust."

Cada had been about to reply when the little phoenix dust spoke up then. He gave the child a curious perusal before he spoke up. "Hello Fintan, I'm Cadaver, pestilence dust." He informed. Turning his attention from the child to his friend and back. "I guess a lot has changed." He offered for a moment.

The silence that sat pregnant between them stretched for a moment before Cada moved forward toward Ziya. "I'm so sorry this happened to you, Ziya. I wish I could have been there to support you." Though he truly felt hurt for not having support his friend he couldn't bring himself to remain in this melancholy head space. He didn't like how his friend seemed sad and his little brother seemed surly at best for it.

Clapping his hands to clear the air, he spoke up, "So! Now that we've reunited and with a surprise to boot," He winked at Fintan, "Why don't we all do something fun?"
