I heard it from someone I subscribe to on YouTube that there is a delay for the Pokemon Bank transfer- Not in just North America and Europe but Japan had to shut down TBD for Pokemon Bank and I think the E shop in general needs to be fixed. Link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-viSy3JB2A4

Quote: Pokémon Bank - eShop Removal & Possible Delay Nintendo have announced that they have temporarily removed Pokémon Bank from the Nintendo 3DS eShop. This is following the massive influx of users on both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U coming on Christmas, plus the addition of Pokémon Bank causing the Nintendo Network to drive to a halt. This means users cannot download it anymore and currently cannot access the features of the game.. It is currently unclear when Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter will return, or if the western release is delayed. They have made it clear that the 30 day trial for previously registered users will restart when it returns. Edit @ 13:14: Pokémon Bank is now listed with a release of TBD (To Be Decided) on the North American and European eShops. We'll bring details on this as soon as we can Source: Serebii.net
While I doubt this had any impact on Nintendo's decision to pull Pokebank from the eShop, word is that their Anti-Hack measures that were suppose to be included that prevented the transfer of "illegally created Pokemon" be didn't quite work either.

In the meantime, it looks like Pre-Bank battles shall continue until further notice. pirate

Let me just throw a little example now... some information on certain pokémon needs to be changed. Example Azumarrill needs a new typing so new values needs to be assigned for a transfer on it... I assume the game itself will create the new missing data making said pokemon legal...
Something similar happened while transfering 3rd gen to 4th gen pokemon... it is said that the game "legalized" many pokemon for no reason other than it needing to fill the new "spaces" in the data.

Unfortunately the Japanese people who bought it before eSHop went down can still use it. So whether the rest of the world can or not, Generation 6 is being loaded with tons of hacked Pokemon right now. That really bothers me, it would be nice to have maintained a hack-free community for a little longer before the elite hackers really spread much.

That really bothers me, it would be nice to have maintained a hack-free community for a little longer before the elite hackers really spread much. Gen 5 ---> Poke Bank ---> Gen 6 I could be completely wrong about this but from my understanding of how the transfer sequence works.. is you would have to transport Pokemon from your Generation 5 game (Black/White/ect) to the Pokemon Bank Server first and then from the Pokemon Bank into your X & Y game? With the servers for the bank currently being down at the moment, there should be no new Pokemon being uploaded until the bank servers are back online.
That's not to say how many have already gotten through before Nintendo pulled the plug, as we have reports of a few illegal Pokemon floating around per articles at many of the Pokemon fan sites, but hopefully those Pokemon will be restricted from accessing online services (the way certain Pokemon aren't allowed to be GTS traded) and that when the Bank is back up and running, that no future hacked Pokemon are able to get through. That's assuming Nintendo didn't just pull the plug because of the "holiday rush" like they're reporting and recognize that there was a problem with the bank and are thus fixing it. I mean, enough reports got rid of Instacheck and the Battle Analyzer issue. One can only hope, this problem gets addressed as well.

One of the recent updates is worded oddly at the beginning.
