History:
Sophia lives with her mother (Jiang "Jade" Veracruz), father (Alonso Veracruz), and brother (Quinferando Omarion Loquatious Veracruz) in a mansion somewhere in Japan.
The family made their fortune with Veracruz flavored liqueurs, which began in Spain. After gaining popularity, her grandfather (Omar) moved to America to expand the brand, which worked very well. Alonso and his brother, Raul, were both born in America and grew to take care of the Atlanta headquarters once their father retired. Recently, the company was offered an opportunity to expand to Japan, which is when the family moved to see the venture through, leaving Raul to care for the Atlanta branch.
Veracruz Liqueurs is most popular for their apple flavored liqueur. Though their image is very upscale, Sophia keeps trying to convince her parents to make a malt liquor. They have yet to agree, and tend to look at her like she's lost her damn mind.

Sophia's parents had the money to keep her in private schools most of her life, but she always insisted on going to public schools. Her parents allowed it, but only on the condition that she take self-defense and martial arts classes, so they wouldn't have to worry about her being alone in unfamiliar areas of the city.
