Welcome to my writing thread!
Below are things that I have written.
Most of it is not recent.

slither little snake
across the starry sky
night is not the enemy
impossible is an option
times will change as
heaven and hell meet
all because a little snake slithered

note: This little poem was written around five years ago (maybe more). It's a little nonsense poem that popped into my head one day. I quite enjoy it but there really isn't any deep meaning behind it.

I felt like C O L O R ing outside the lines but was U N S A T I S F I E D so I took the paper and tossed it to the W I N D and colored on the floor. Still I was unsatisfied, my UNCONVENTIONAL needs still unmet. So I colored on the walls, the ceiling, the table, the chairs, the windows but still something was OFFBEAT in my offBEAT world. So I abandoned the confines of my SO CALLED home and went outside to color T H E W O R L D.

[[note: Not entirely sure where I was going with this or even why I wrote it. It's a little bit dark and it's supposed to be suspenseful but I'm not terribly great at writing.]]

                                          Word Count: 584
Her breath came out in painful gasps, uncontrollable and damning. She tried to reign in her lungs but to no avail. They would not listen to her. No, her lungs clenched, taking in are too fast and pushing it out before any oxygen could be absorbed. Her brain screamed but her body was stricken and would only listen to the fear that made her heart flutter and tense in a painful rhythm, panic. It was all she knew any more but despite it all, she could not resign herself to this fate just yet.

                                          No.

                                          No!

                                          NO!

She refused to accept this as the end. With every ounce of control she could muster, she forced her body to move. She did not want to die, not hiding cowardly as she had been. No, if she was going to die, she was going to die trying to live.

She could hear him behind her and hear his chuckle that sent waves of fear crashing against her determination. It whittled away at her bravery. His laughter rang after her like a bell tolling at a funeral, her funeral. She could feel his excitement at the very prospect of her death. His joy and mirth matched her terror. He enjoyed her fear. He waited with anticipation for her death, a death that would be at his hands.

She had seen it, seen what he did to the other girls. They were girls that all looked like her. She only knew that they looked like her because he had taken pictures of them. What was left of them was unrecognizable. There was nothing left of them but bits and pieces. They had been reduced to a pile of meat. She didn’t care how but he had told her, explained every detail of how he had taken a human and reduced them to nothing.

It was not his words that had been to worst of it. No, it had been his expression. She had not wanted to see it. It was repulsive and then he had turned that expression to her and her repulsion had quickly turned to horror.

He had stroked her hair so tenderly and looked upon her as if she was his lover found after a long search. His smile was so warm, so inviting but his eyes burned with a lust for her that was inhuman.

She stumbled and was unable to stop herself from crying out. She glanced back for an instant and regretted it. He was close behind her but it seemed as if he was doing nothing but leisurely strolling behind her while she made a mad dash for her freedom. She bit back a sob and kept running.

She could hear him talking but ignored it. He was coaxing her back to him. In a pretty tone, he told her of all the things he would do to her, all the lovely tortures she would be able to experience. He gave her honeyed promises of excruciating pain, pain he knew, he said, that she really truly wanted.

                                          No!

But he was closing in on her and she couldn’t understand how.

No! Please no! She didn’t want to die! She didn’t want the pain!

Oh, but she truly did, he purred to her as he gently wrapped his fingers around her throat.

                                          No!

Yes, he continued in his honeyed tone dripping with promises he would make sure to keep.

NO! She begged and pleaded but it all fell on deaf ears.

                                          Yesssss.
