I suppose I'll just have to cover all my bases. I'll take the terrifying swordsman that's probably inspired more than his fair share of disturbing lemon fanfiction.

Welp since everyone else is busy with other stuff. I'll post first since I've had a bit of time to dab in HHM a bit. xp
Our Daring Yet Brave Adventurers:
Hector, Serra, Marcus, Raven, Oswin, Dorcas, Lucius, Wil, Vaida, and Nino
Chapter 11: On the road to look for Pharae’s Marquess.
So here we get Hector and Matthew pretty much left to fend off on their own against some assassins. This chapter is a little tricky at first since for one, without Lyn’s mode Matthew is kind of not as strong as he’d usually be statwise. There are some instances when some of the archer enemies have a critical rate of 1% to score a critical blow. But that didn’t happen here fortunately for me. And second you’d notice that practically all of the enemies have been beefed up since it’s HHM after all. So yeah it took a few resets, but I managed it alright. I thought it’d be smarter to go through the left side by breaking the wall and to go from there. Hector proved to be very good against the soldiers, and he smashed a few archers here and there. We gathered a few vulneraries, and one thief enemy A.I. actually came to Matthew after stealing the red gem, just as hector was about to finish off the boss. It was very interesting indeed, but that sure was nice of him wasn’t it? As for Wire, well he was pretty easy thanks to the Wolf Beil’s bonus damage against armors.

Chapter 12: Zagan just lost the game.
This is where we make our rendezvous with Eliwood. Yay! And Hector sure did make a messy entrance taking out that soldier. So we get some new companions to join us here. Oswin and Dorcas come to my aid, which is just plain awesome. And also Serra and Marcus are both here to help, since they’re free this whole draft. A lot of people really diss Marcus for being inferior to the other potential knights you get,(I was one of those people years ago) but I grew up and saw how much he can contribute to the group. It’s true that he’s not nearly as good as Sain or Kent or even Isadora. And while his stats do tend to slog down compared to the enemies later in the game, I still think he’s a great asset to the team.
This map took a bit of thought, but it wasn’t too bad. Matthew isn’t free anymore so I left him behind out of the enemy’s range. Hector and Oswin both pretty much took on the brigands, pegasus knights and other soldiers that were there. I had Hector chill in the forest, and Oswin take on anybody that came from the south. He got a Pegasus knight kill here and there, since some of them tried to go closer to Serra and Matthew, who is literally left defenseless so I wasn‘t gonna let that happen. That javelin of his can be very help sometimes. As for our allies in the south, Dorcas was handed a few things until he was ready to deal with some of the forces coming by. Bartre gave his buddy an extra Iron Axe and his hand axe which will prove to be helpful. Eliwood had a spare vulnerary on him, so he passed that onto Dorcas for any case he may get into a dangerous situation. Marcus couldn’t help at the moment and grabbed the secret book from the village. But for the most part, Dorcas took on the enemies quite well, he did take a hit or two but he managed them fine. Eventually as the enemies cleared up I had Dorcas and Marcus meet up with Hector, Oswin, and Serra, who finally got her chance to move into place. And she got to move to the fort for any case that lonely Pegasus knight would be swooping at her suddenly. And injured one did come at her, but her speed was good enough to not get doubled. Plus it missed on top of that!, Dorcas took out that pesky peg knight out of the way. Zagan made his way to us and attacked Marcus, which was foolish and he scored a crit with an iron sword way too easily. It would’ve been nice if he spared him a little but oh well… There was only one brigand that gave me trouble in the peaks just sitting there not moving costed me a turn. So I had Marcus go over there and teach him a lesson with his 42% handaxe of RNG doom.

Chapter 13: Two paths in the road but which one to take?
This chapter wasn’t actually too bad, once I went into the right direction after a few tries. Hector, Dorcas, Oswin and Serra took a shortcut to the right to save some time. And she got a free torch visiting the village with your first encounter with the ever so nervous, Merlinus himself. Marcus took care of everyone else in the south by himself. And he did a pretty good job at it. He grabbed the village nearby and we meet Hannah, the old fortune teller lady. She gives him a mine which was apparently something she made as an experiment. Normally it could be used to trigger the famous mine glitch. Where if you time turning off and on the game perfectly, and resume the map you’ll notice that you could control the available enemy red A.I units however you want. In my honest opinion, I do think it kills off the challenge of any mode. So I don’t find myself bothering with that glitch these days anymore. But it can be pretty interesting to mess around with out of boredom. And there’s only a few of them in the game. Also, it’s clearly against the rules in this draft.
So unfortunately Guy had to die here by the hands of Marcus, since he wasn’t being drafted anyways.(So sorry guy, you‘ll be the greatest swordsman of sacae in the other world good buddy.) Serra decided to do some shopping while she was in the area. A javelin, handaxe, and an extra heal staff just in case. Hector wrecked Boies pretty badly with his mighty wolf beil.

Chapter 13x: Bandits everywhere in the dark!
So this chapter was actually really frustrating to deal with in the beginning. As one could imagine some resetting took place quite a bit, until I finally figured out what I did wrong. The answer lies in which direction I was trying to approach it. It’s a very simple one once I came to the realization. .So the idea or objective is to protect Merlinus, and it’s important never to leave him alone in the open. There are nomads mixed with the bunch could snipe him very easily, or really just about any enemy could him kill off quick. He is a seriously frail npc. There’s not a whole lot to say about here since it’s very much a defending chapter, and it doesn’t end even if you kill the boss. The game will continue on until the seven turns are finally up. And really all I did here was defend in an area where I felt was safe enough to handle things. With meat shielding being allowed, it really makes this much more bearable to hang in there. Marcus actually managed to kill off Puzon. Or rather to say POO-zon. XD What a great blocker Marcus is so far.. Serra finally got a level up since she gains exp from healing. Hector, Oswin and Dorcas got a level or two.

I’m back with some more HHM draft! =D
Our Daring Yet Brave Adventurers:

Chapter 15: Sealen’s surprise attack!
So hector and group are all back at Ostia now. So just when we could have a little bit of rest, there’s an invasion but these guys are no ordinary soldiers. They’re swift and extremely good at this type of tactic. Apparently it’s a special mercenary group part of Euban’s group.(Whom we’ll get to later on in the game) We get to see a Heath cameo here as well. Poor mister Heath, you’re surely not fit for the mercenary life. =(
But anyways so this chapter is very much a defending chapter. Sealen wants to take total control of the throne, so it’s your job to protect it. As oswin suggested with his advice that he gives to the tactician.(I named mine Ryu ) Ostia knights are known for defensive walls, so the idea here is to pretty much form a wall to protect every side as best as possible. Enemy units will not hesitate to strike aggressively as they can if you don’t plan this out. I had a bit of trouble with this because I decided to bring Merlinus along and that made things a little problematic. Since now, he needs protection too. The way the enemy acts here is kind of random. Sometimes the nomad rider next to sealen will go down and approach us from that direction. Or maybe he’ll decide to go up and head for us that way. The mage will also do the exact same thing too.
So I sent Marcus to deal with the enemies on the right side, while the others protected the bottom area. Eventually Hector had to block the cracked wall because fighters were about to storm the throne, and that’d be game over if that happens. But I will say this, Oswin having the Silver Lance is so fantastic! He wrecks enemy in one strike of it easily. No one got past him ever! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get the Dragon Shield from Sealen. But really it’s just patience and you’ll pull through in the end. But I was very, very satisfied with everyone’s level this time! Hooray! ^_^

Chapter 16:Rendezvous with Lyn and Co.
So things are getting a little suspicious here. There’s a rumor flying about that Lord Ebert started a rebellion. But Eliwood and Hector doesn’t buy this story. Then, we hear Lyn and company are planning an attack on castle caelin. And they decide to help her out since they’re close by and all that. Florina gets a close call here and almost gets shot down by arrows. Apparently Marquess Caelin is rather busy with his whole castle being taken over by Ephidel and Darin. Bauken is left in charge to defend the place. Florina gets sent to call Eliwood and Hector for help. But uh oh, Bauker see her flying and his archers advance to shoot her down. And we get a funny CG scene of her about to crash into Eliwood and Hector. Both her and his Pegasus lands right on Hector’s back. XD
As for the chapter itself, I brought along Marcus, Hector, Dorcas, Oswin, and Serra only. Also, I finally get Wil to the group. Between him and Rebecca, I do find myself choosing him more often when I play the game normally. He’s definitely one of my personal favorite archers to use, if I don’t end up going with Rath. He tends to be a bit more efficient in the defense and strength area for the most part. So the challenge I faced here mostly revolved around Lyn’s group surviving. It’s nice that they’re free for this chapter. Otherwise I wouldn’t be sure how to manage with just Wil. Lyn comes with a free blue gem which is pretty cool, so I sold that and shopped real quick. Wil gets a nice steel bow, an iron sword and Steel Lance for Sain, while Kent needed a basic iron lance and a few vulneraries, so we could stand a chance against those rough enemies that lie in wait. A few axes and a javelin was sent to Merlinus to keep for later. Also, I decided to buy about 4 or 5 door keys since thieving isn’t necessary for me…
There was only one enemy that gave me a problem. A lone mercenary kept dodging practically every attack I threw at him, and he was trapped too. Otherwise than that Hector and team stood their ground pretty well. Florina had a nice javelin for Marcus to use. And a free slim lance for Oswin since the offer is there anyways. Marcus really takes most of the credit for taking out most of the enemies here. Bauker was fairly simple to take out. A few javelin tosses to weaken him up and an Iron lance to his face. And just in time too because cavalier reinforcements were coming to attack Merlinus, whom I decided to bring along. At turn 11 Hector makes it to Caelin castle and seized it.

Chapter 17: Rush, Rush, Rush with haste before the thieves get away.
So this chapter was quite a challenging one. It took a few tries with this map, but it could be done. Really, the general idea here is just to tread along as best as possible. We get Raven and Lucius here. Raven in HHM starts out pretty darn amazing with those HHM star bonuses. Though, he starts off as an enemy first because he actually has a grudge against Ostia apparently. Lucius stays behind with the Caelin guards that are held captive. He’s one of the better light magic users and a very nice healer too. So it’s up to us to rescue them and not let them die! I really had to move Marcus quickly ahead of the group here because not just one thief comes early to jack some treasure, but instead there’s two of them to cause chaos. Marcus at least killed off one thief that took a droppable knight’s crest.
However, the second thief is kind of an idiot and just decides to leave for some reason. Matthew and Priscilla were both brought along too. I needed Prissy for recruiting, her big bro Raven. Which lead to Raven recruiting Lucius, since I drafted both of them. Matthew was needed for the Hero’s crest promotion item for either Dorcas or Raven. It’ll mostly likely go to Dorcas first, since I’ve been using him longer.
Wil dealt with the shaman guarding the chest with the hero’s crest and unlock staff. Serra was close by to heal for injuries. Matthew had to stay out of the way until the coast is clear to make a run for it. After he took care of him, both Matthew and Wil headed over to the door. Wil unlocked it with his key, and Matthew only could pick the chest with the hero’s crest located on the right.
Marcus eventually had to carry Priscilla on his back so she could be in range when Raven moves closer.(He does this only in the harder modes) I had to be very careful about this. But I pulled it off and got him to my side. He got to slash a few victims to their grave with his steel sword. Unfortunately one NPC soldier did die by an enemy archer, while on his way to recruit his VERY good buddy Lucius.(No red gem reward) But he certainly paid the price with his life.
Some nomad and cavalier reinforcements came around later, and I actually brought Merlinus to the battlefield to see If I could protect him. Dorcas and Oswin were actually not too far away, so I had Dorcas block for a bit until Oswin comes to help defend. His movement is a bit on the slow side, even if he’s an awesome unit. I honestly thought Dorcas wouldn’t make it, but Serra was there to patch things up. Oswin makes it just in time too! And voila, Merlinus is safe from harm.
Marcus and Hector handled the remaining soldiers on the way to General Bernard’s mighty throne. Hector lured him out with his hand axe to soften him up a little. Marcus hammered him in the face twice! Hector took the throne in 15 turns.

Chapter 17x: A little test of arrgh skill.
So Eliwood, Lyn, and Hector decide to venture off to the port of Badon where apparently they could seek help to reach the treacherous Dread Isle by ship. There is word of a pirate group that become their only hope in getting to the dread isle. Lyn isn’t very happy about the idea of getting help from pirates.(Which we’ll get to know the reason why in the next chapter) So they meet up with old man Fargus in a Tavern. He may seem old, but you dare not double cross this man cause he’s a berserker! Anyways, he’ll only agree to lend them passage for about 200,000 gold or so. It’s an amount that no one in the party has on them right at the moment. Hector has an idea to try and gather the money by selling off a few of his valuable stuff back at his place in Ostia. But then… Dart appears! He brings a message from Fargus being his right hand man. On the positive note, Fargus actually will lend the price for free but… The thing is we have to play a dangerous game against his crew.
Without further ado, It’s time for the game of wits! So I decide to bring along Marcus, Raven and Lucius, my newly duo drafted buddies. Oswin, Serra, and Hector obviously. Usually this chapter can be pretty simple to beat. Really all you have to do is reach Fargus and talk to him and the chapter is already done. He won’t attack you with his squad if his borderline is crossed. Though, there are some minor differences in HHM. A few pirate enemies, for starters WILL go aggressive and attack you. Damian also appears in a few rounds and he’ll attack with his troop of mounts. But he does this in HM so no surprise there. There’s a few options in going about this. Florina can obviously finish the chapter quickly by having her talk to Fargus. Bringing in your entire team to the north path for the shortcut is probably the safer way. But I decided to be a bit careful about this. Raven and Hector went north to deal with some enemies. Raven got to slash a few pirates along the way which is always nice. Everyone else was left behind to hold off the enemies that come our way. Marcus went to the village to get canas with us and that handy skill book off his hands.(It’ll help us for sure)
For the most part though, this chapter isn’t particularly too bad. I was a little hesistant with the archer with the killer bow landing a crit on hector. But he was safe in the end. Marcus and Oswin practically handed everything here. Oswin can tank with his mighty shield of awesomeness. He got some pretty good experience killing Damian and the stronger enemies. Marcus lured in the middle forces by himself with no problems whatsoever. Serra healed wounds, while Lucius got some finishing lightning magic kills. I managed to grab all the villages as well. Around turn 10, I had Raven visit a nearby shop to buy a heal staff and a lightning tome, just in case Lucius runs out at some point. XD Then I ended the chapter by talking to Fargus with Raven just in range the very next turn. Dart was very close to mister Fargus, but he’s not causing any trouble. He’s just sitting there watching…

Chapter 18: OMG IT’S A ZOLDAM!
First I gotta say that this scene between Hector and Lyn I actually do like..(Though there is another great one later in Hector’s mode) In Eliwood’s mode you get to see both him and Fargus conversing together. But in Hector’s mode we get to Hector and Lyn conversing and they have a pretty deep moment together. Lyn has a grudge against pirates, brigands and labels them all the same because of what the Talvier bandits did to her entire tribe. Her own father carried her on his horse just as he was suffering from pain/(And of course he died..) Hector on the other hand, can understand what she is going through because he knows how it feels to lose someone close to you. It’s not as much as what Lyn experienced but still he lost both of his parents from an illness. And I think it’s pretty hectic too, but even though he wanted to cry being at a young age too. But he doesn’t want to be open about this in front of the others. He’s definitely sad about it certainly but he manages to tough it out.
Anyways, one of Fargus men finds a girl drifting on a small raft of some kind. Apparently this girl is Ninian whom you would usually be introduced to in Lyn’s mode. But she seems different and that she has amnesia. Suddenly there’s a group of ships that have an unrecognizable flag design pattern. Thanks to them the ship’s haul has taken vital damage. Fargus has to help out his mates and can’t take care of the enemies. So it’s up to us to survive, until he can lend a hand to carve up some scallywags. pirate
I brought everyone that I have drafted with me, some item preparations, and I was all ready to go. It’s true I could promote Oswin right now, but I figured I might as well try and level him some more if I can, since he’s getting very close to Lv.20 anyways.
The boss is a shaman named Zoldam and he has a Luna tome, which can not only negate resistance, but it has a high chance of landing a critical as well. I decided to go a little aggressive while keeping a defensive line. The enemy really can swarm here and especially the shamans if you’re not careful enough. Oswin in particular was getting damaged from dark tomes and I ran out of javelins at this point. Good thing he has decent resistance to live. But still he really rocked this chapter. Not even a myrmidon with an armorslayer can pierce through his awesome defense!
I did some rescuing for units that were in danger when necessary. The lancereaver Raven obtained last time was very useful against the flocks of Pegasus knights soaring above the seas. Marcus does one heck of a job handling the majority of enemies here. For the most part it was tough in the beginning but it became smooth sailing in the later turns. I didn’t want to risk engaging a battle against Zoldam. But if you do kill him the map is pretty much over. I had no choice but to wait it out till Fargus came rushing out by turn 11.

Chapter19: The Notorious Misty Isles
So here we land ashore to the Dread Isle. Cap'N Fergus was nice enough to lend us Dart to escort us through this unknown place. The fog's rolling in clouding our vision. However, Hector and everyone discovers a person lying on the ground.
And it's Leila! But it takes no more than a few seconds to discover that she's already been dead. I really think this scene characterizes Matthew very well. He tries to hide his feelings, but at the same time we can see the grief that he goes through. He knew that being a spy was a risky job, but even knowing that he still genuinely loved Leila. He'll never forget her, but even so he moves on.
Then out of nowhere, we get a Sacaen Nomad Trooper, calling himself Uhai appears from the heart of the island taking Lyn hostage. Though, he does let her go. At least he does have some honor being one from the plains. But still we have to fight him as he hides deep in the fog unbeknownst to his location.
I managed to bring everyone that I have drafted to this point. I sort of struggled with this chapter in particular because for one, it was fog of war so it was pretty difficult to tell where the reinforcements were coming. Plus, the enemies are starting to get stronger statwise. So some early promotion for Dorcas and Oswin was in order.(Though, I was hoping he would get in one last level) That really help in survival with this. Also, before I forget, Dart joins us here. As far as axe users go, he's definitely a good one. He's the only pirate in the game and promotes into the berserker class. But for this draft, I must cast him away in the corner close to Merlinus. Avast ye matey! That torch of his certainly comes in handy though. The plan was to pretty much torch our way through by having Hector, and Oswin head over towards the right snag and storm their way down from there.
As for Marcus, I had him go alone the upper path and to eventually meet up with the group, but with the chance of taking out the run away thief with the torch staff if it was possible.(And I was just in the nick of time too) Everyone else consisting of Dorcas, Serra, Raven, and Lucius stood near the fort to take out incoming enemies from the fog. But of course, there is the pirate and pegasus knight reinforcements from the back way. Marcus only had a chance to deal with a few of them on his way. And I couldn't let Merlinus get killed here now could I?
Anyways, Hector and Oswin practically cleared up the forces, so their only choice was to go down. We had to get to Uhai as quick as possible. By that time the thieve was about to escape. Marcus rushed in and gave him a javelin to his thieving face! Oswin made it up to Uhai and he had a horse slayer, the chance was pretty low as the weapon isn't exactly that accurate. But if it hits, he'll take a huge chunk of damage to his health. But I came this far, and I was willing to take that risk. So Marcus and Oswin really got lucky in taking down Uhai in 8 turns. The weapon triangle came into my favor with him switching to the killing edge.
So upon killing Uhai, he gives our heroes some advice in getting to the dragon gate. He says to turn right of the rotten tree. For some reason I've always found this line amusing...
But before, Dragon's Gate we come across a very secret place. But more on that for next time! wink

Chapter 19x: My magic is sealed! What sorcery is this?!
So back to where we left off last time, Lyn is criticizing Hector about his armor being too loud. It'll blow our cover... And blah blah blah and so on. Then we see the over-the-top sage calling himself Aion.(Almost like Ion right right?) He's got some roaring thunder up his leave apparently. Hector and CO. find a secret structure in the middle of the forest! So we get ambushed by him and have to fight back.
This chapter wasn't really too difficult at all. Marcus played the leader while everyone else just followed. Raven practically took out the pegasus knights by him self all too easily. Lucius visited the village and we get a brief cameo with a later recruitable character Renault! The coolest thing I find every time I visit the village at this point is that each and individual character has a distinct style when conversing here. True, it usually ends up the same, but with Lucius I really feel this makes sense. For one, they can support later on.(Although it's a huge pain in the butt with his supports) Also, both Renault and Lucius are both man of the cloth....
Anyways, moving along now... So Renault gives Lucius a free Goddess Icon. That'll help boost Lucius's luck stat a tad bit. Also, a few turns later... The most mistreated and i think most arguably saddest morph, Kishuna appears! He's got a special ability to seal magic according to where the space covered in darkness is. It completely screws up Aion's plan of bolting us. Oh the irony~
But it makes us job much more easier now. Marcus and Dorcas start chipping away some damage on Aion. Dorcas has a 70% chance of hitting him with an iron bow. Dorcas has some nice skill I must add.
Right on turn 7, Dorcas deals the final blow on him. At last Hector seizes the fort ending the chapter. Boy, did Aion get trolled hard. So our next destination is the one and only Dragon's Gate. Nergal's secret base...

Chapter 20: I'll be the RULER OF THE WORLD MWHAHAHA!
So finally we make it to Dragon's Gate. Ephidel just appears out of nowhere. And he wants Ninian for a special reason... So he takes her away and warps back to Nergal's place. Darin is left in charge to keep us from coming in. He's also very full of himself might I add. First he leaves his son Erik behind. While he is a snob, that is a downright cruel thing to do. In the end all he wanted was glory and power. But to what end? He doesn't gain anything from it at all. In fact it's quite the opposite, Nergal is getting the better deal here.
Anyways, so here we have a mini boss before getting to Darin. A paladin named Cameron. Actually his exact mug is reused for another mini boss Paladin in the later fog of war chapter where you're defending prince zephiel.
So this chapter took awhile to figure out. It took me forever to think of a solution for it. Basically what I did was only keep oswin defending the left side like the boss tank he is. The others made use of the door entrance path to the other side. It was a little bit of a pain being forced to bring Eliwood and Lyn this chapter. Because now, I have to keep them out of harm which I managed to do.
Dorcas and Marcus broke through the cracked wall. Marcus took care of Cameron by himself. Usually he'd have a Halberd which is droppable in the regular modes, but here he just has both a steel sword and lance on him. Hector, Marcus and Dorcas made their way to Darin's room.(With Marcus carrying an Elixir handy) Luckily, Legault passed by just in time so Hector could talk to him. Pretty nice of him to have some stolen goods too. Marcus really dealt good damage on Darin with the Silver Lance. It's 12 damage with a critical rate of 12% and he could double him. He was just about finished really... But what really surprised me is Dorcas got a critical on him in the last moment. It was very awesome! This map ended up being cleared in 8 turns.
So time for some more plot. Eliwood rushes to his father hoping he's still alive and the others behind him. We encounter Jaffar here. And he's like "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" But of course, we shouldn't mess with him since he's a pretty strong assassin and all.
I gotta admit, Elbert really has got some fight in him. He stood up to Nergal like twice. And this time, he actually injured him.
Nergal's real motive here was to summon a dragon. An actual Fire Dragon! But it consumes Quissentence(Hope I spelled that right), or in other words fighting spiritual energy of human beings or something of the sort. He uses Elbert for this...(Unfortunately part of what came to his end) But yes, one does come out of the realm for a split second. Then Nils to the rescue! He snaps her out of her trance. The dragon explodes and consumes only Ephidel in the end. We get a grieving CG scene with Eliwood and his father. Indeed it's very tragic..

Chapter 21: Poisoned Fliers in the Dark
Eliwood gets depressed here. We gain into more insight about what type of man Elbert was. From what Nils and Ninian's story of their time together. He was a very optimistic and caring sort of guy.
Everyone leaves Eliwood for some time alone to think about things after everything that has happened. It's very understandable too. However that is interrupted when Nils senses an army approaching from the darkness. Sure Eliwood could've stayed inside. But he decides that it's no use to keep mourning over this lost. The timing is dreadful, but he's brave enough to move on, and to be there when his friends need him.
Alright, the chapter itself wasn't very hard at all actually. Eliwood was forced to join this chapter, so I had to leave Dorcas out for now... Raven and Lucius stayed behind to take care of some monks hiding in the darkness. Wil headed towards for the ballista to hurt some fliers that decide to show up. Lucius managed to grab the village near Merlinus. A nice old lady gives him a free restore staff. That's excellent!
To beat the chapter all that's necessary was to defeat Oleg. So the other villages had to be skipped.(Not that any of them were stuff I needed that badly anyways. ) Marcus took the lead with his trusty steel axe. Hector and Oswin followed behind him. Serra did some torching to light our way. There was a good chunk of Wyvern riders and Pegasus knights coming from different places. Marcus suffered a bit of poisoning from a pegasus knight carrying a poisoned lance. But he managed to hang in there. Wil was actually attacked from behind by a pegasus knight while on a ballista. But he shot her down and gave her some just desserts.
Anyways, Marcus lured Oleg in a forest. He tried to attack with a steel bow which totally failed. I do wish I had a ranged weapon and he probably would've been easier to finish off quicker. There was plenty of enemies around there not to mention. So what I did was Marcus went up front to attack him twice with the steel sword. He was in pretty bad shape being poisoned and all. Oswin threw a javelin to his face which put him in exactly 11 hp. AND Hector managed to deal that exact amount of damage to him. This was done in exactly 4 turns.
After that, we get to see Isadora! She'll join us next chapter. I've always liked her as a character and unit. She's not the best mount, but she's certainly a speedy one. Hector drones over the fact that we'll have to have an Uther reunion.

Chapter 22: Why don't we turn right?
So we've decided to plan on meeting up with Uther in a wide castle. Although, is some worry about the safety of him moving about from Ostia. Or really if he should be doing this while he has a kingdom that Hector explains that he has spies everywhere and he does have guards to protect him. He is an important man after al!
Then Ninian and Nils have start to converse while Eliwood, Hector, and Lyn are all in their own discussion. She starts to worry a bit about Nils after he gave her some of his energy last chapter in order to be of service. Nils says he's fine but then suddenly out of nowhere he faints and collapses on the floor. Everyone rushes to see what happened to Nils. For some strange reason, Ninian tells them not to move him and that he'll be fine after some good resting.
But to make matters worse, Euban makes his appearance this time. He decides to invade the castle with his men. And one of those men includes Heath. You could obviously tell this man is a good guy and doesn't want to harm women and children. But Eubans is totally blackmailing him. He's a deserter of bern and if Heath doesn't follow orders, he'll turn him in himself. So with that, a battle finally ensues.
I was a little hesitant about promoting Lucius this early, but I felt it was a good idea to do now. I thought this chapter was a rather tricky and risky chapter overall. There are Ostia green Npc guards, but they all died rather easily by Wyvern riders. There's so many Wyvern Riders with axereavers in this map! I'm not even joking about it..
Anyways, I had Raven play guard a bit to protect those that stayed behind like Nils, Eliwood, Lyn, and of course Isadora who stored some of her nice stuff for Merlinus to hang onto.
Oswin protected the middle area and he took care of them rather well by himself. He did need a good heal or two because some of the enemy magic users. The plan I had for everyone else was to go the the right to face Eubans there.
Rath and his company actually come in to help weaken some of the mages and mounts coming closer to Raven.. But unfortunately they all died in the end... >: Don't worry, your deaths won't be in vain! So I had Oswin come up and take care of some stragglers leftover. That should serve them right.
I actually was more afraid of Eubans landing a critical on my buddies. Usually Eubans would be placed straight downwards in the middle path, but in hector's mode it's not so easy to get to him. He's all the way down in the right edge of the map. It's in the place where the forest spots are. Normally in Hector's Mode he'll just stay there and won't move at all. But nope, that won't happen here! He'll actually rush after anyone that comes within his range. Oswin probably could've helped out, but he was busy at the moment.
Wil actually got himself a promotion to sniper in the middle of it all. Eubans at the time was already in contact with my forces consisting of Dorcas, Marcus, and Hector just standing to guard. He even managed to get a good shot with his trusty longbow of his. Dorcas was rather lucky because he could've been dead if a critical blow decided to happened. I struck him down with axes and Marcus finished the job around turn 8, therefore ending the chapter.
Uther finally arrives. He tells us to go meet a living legend in the Nabata Desert, even though it's the exact opposite place we'd want to be but there's a good reason for this.

Chapter 23: The Deadly Sandstorm
So we get another personal favorite scenes of mine in FE7.. Nils gets exhausted from the heat because the desert is so...so...very hot. Hector notices him slowing down and he's like "Hey... You're not gonna faint like last time are ya?" He offers to carry Nils on his back being the friendly kinda guy he is.
Nil's like "Uh... That's okay..." Then Hector's all like "DO AS YOU'RE TOLD BOY!" He rushes to him and picks him up. We get this fun goofy CG scene here and I just love Hector's expression in this part. Eliwood and Ninian get a scene here. It's a very nice conversation I've gotta say.
Then apparently a man is being attacked in the Desert by some bandits. A silly little tune kicks in when they enter the scene. But these guys are no ordinary bandits. They're both brother bandits showing tears of manliness!
But it's a big mistake no knowing that the man they're attacked is the almighty General Pent.(Not to mention he has a beautiful awesome wife Louise)
Though, even though he is awesome, he's gonna need our help to get rid of these bandits.
So for this chapter, it very extremely tough. For one, I don't have a flier drafted with me and the only magic users I have are Lucius and Serra. The majority of my units will have movement restrictions. Lucius can fight and heal at this point, but Serra can still only heal and she needs protection. I also can only bring 8 units with me, so Oswin had to stay in the sidelines since he wouldn't really be much use to me in this desert. Plus, this map is fog of war and uses the sandstorm to cover enemies. It's the only mode that does this as far as I can tell. It is a very cool effect though! It's interesting that FE6's desert chapter had a sandstorm fog of war too....
I brought along Raven, Legault,(mostly for grabbing things I needed in the sand) Marcus, Hector, Lucius, Serra, Dorcas, and Wil.
I had to keep up my defenses against the wyvern riders and there's magic users around here too. Also, I want to note about Jasmine and Paul's location for this map. Paul would usually be all the way at the far left. Not to mention both of them don't ever move towards you. But again, Hector Hard mode really changes things because Paul will actually move on his own regardless of whether you're in range or not. I had to take a chance with Raven and Marcus taking huge risks. I had to use some barrier staves to reduce magical damage against enemies.(And there's a good amount of them. I actually got lucky and took him down with Marcus in the end.
I had everyone move over to the left direction keeping my defenses and with torches guiding our path. Hawkeye showed up as a green npc and decided to take care of a few enemies on his own. Before he went any further, I managed to have Hector catch up to him.
On pent's side, I was hoping RNG wouldn't screw him over. If he dies, I have to start over again. He did take a few hits from the wyvern riders steel lances, but he did survive overall. Pent was actually smart enough to move away and heal to the top corner.
Once the Wyvern Riders got out of the way, things became easier for us. Lucius was good enough to take care of the shamans reinforcements on his own. Although, for some reason most of them wanted to go after Pent? Anyways, pretty much all of the enemies were cleared off the map. That is except for Jasmine, a nomad, and a cavalier. But they're not a threat yet. Legault generally had a nice stroll along the desert. Hawkeye carried him for a little while. Because I mean, who wouldn't love to be carried for a big strong guardian right? I actually got a body ring by mistake with Hawkeye. Legault dug around and found an Ocean's Seal, A light Brand, and a hero's crest.(That's what I really needed) We finally made our move to take out Jasmine once Leggy was finished treasure hunting.
Jasmine was actually pretty easy compared to paul. Raven got to be the one to kill him and he got a free level up which is nice. The rest of the enemies got cleared off in exactly 17 turns. It was rather difficult getting around in the desert...
With that done, we get to meet Athos. The legendary hero from the scouring. He may seem old but he's a very wise man for his age. Our next destination is finally Bern. However, we are told that Nergal can't be harmed by ordinary means. We get a free apha's drops.(Such a generous item) So we have to gather the legendary weapons first before anything. With his powers, Athos has the ability to send you anywhere you desire. Eliwood thinks of Pherae and we're all automatically there. He gets a reunion with his mother since Elbert already died. It's a very nice scene after all that's happened.
