This is the darkest, deepest, and most desolate place within the Biome. This place has many dark purposes. This is where members of Squad Twelve keep all hollows for experimentation. The hollows scream can be heard from all over the place. How one can tell if they are close is when they hear the deathly howls of the hollows trapped inside this desolate imprisonment. This is also where all of the failed experiments go. This place is by far the most humid place within Jigoku and the scariest thus earning its nickname "Devil's Pit" or the "Pit". The Yūbokumin do run down here but it is rare that anyone would willingly come down here unless they are throwing a futile experiment away or grabbing a hollow for testing.
