Chapter 11: Taking Leave xxx This chapter was pretty straight forward. Not much to say except that I was worried for Bartre and Eliwood a little bit since they are both fresh units and both pretty fragile. I think because of how Bartre and Eliwood were built I had to rely on Marcus a ton for this chapter to be quick. This chapter did remind me with Bartre how I wasn’t a huge fan on the fighters in this game, but I chose Bartre and I’ll stick with him. Hopefully he’ll just get better as the game goes on
Turns: 7 Total Turn Count: 87
Chapter 12: Birds of a Feather xxx This chapter scared me at first since I didn’t really have any units that could take many hits except for Marcus, but I needed him to charge upwards so that they don’t target any of my undrafted units since they appeared there in several turns. Because of Marcus focusing on the top, I had to rely mostly on Eliwood and Bartre (after he got the secret book from the village) to handle the bottom. Thankfully Eliwood held his ground pretty well thanks to the units mostly being axe users and the all might fort that gave him a nice buff and heals every turn. I think if it weren’t for the fort Eliwood would’ve been dead meat and the chapter would’ve been much less fun. Thank you terrain!
Turns: 8 Total Turn Count: 95
Chapter 13: In Search of Truth xxx This chapter was pretty tough as once again, Bartre and Eliwood weren’t really the tanky units they are. I had Marcus go to the top to get to Merlinus and then circle around and flank the units while Bartre, Eliwood, and Serra came from the front. I had to also sacrificed the village (sorry Niime). What was a pain is that since Eliwood and Bartre can die pretty easily I had to be careful and not rush too much in this chapter. Unfortunately that did hurt my turn count a bit, but I resetted way too much to try to get a better turn count lol. Also sorry Guy you became exp for me, your death won’t be in vain
Turns: 12 Total Turn Count: 107
Chapter 13x: The Peddler Merlinus xxx This chapter was fairly straight forward. Had the meaty guys that I didn’t draft weaponless and meat shielding. Then Serra would go around and heal peoples while I did kill some units with Marcus, Bartre, and Eliwood. I did have to reset sometimes from making stupid mistakes like forgetting to unequip Owsin, but other than that I just wished the chapter could finish early if you kill the boss. But then I guess that would’ve been too impossible with only having three offensive units at my disposal currently. Oh wells, hooray for having Merlinus in my team now though.
Turns: 7 Total Turn Count: 114
Chapter 14: False Friends xxx Strategy was fairly simple too...though before I almost started this chapter I forgot Erk was on my draft team and that would’ve been dumb if I didn’t recruit him or something. Thank god I remembered before starting the chapter lol. Anyways back to the chapter, I just had Bartre take out the soldiers on the right side of the map (thank you weapon triangle) then Bartre proceeded to take out all the pirates thus protecting the village Priscilla was in and Merlinus at the same time. Bartre is starting to shape up into a nice unit now, though I wish he would still be more tanky. I guess his HP makes up for it currently though. I had Serra go to the top and then recruited Erk. Erk then continued to just nuke the enemy from the top near the village utilizing the village and the forest next to it. I also had Serra next to him so he’d be fine and this took out a good chunk of the enemy that way. Marcus went down and took out some enemies too while he purchased some new weapons for me and Eliwood charged straight forward so divert some of the enemies from Erk. Luckily Bartre, Eliwood, and Marcus had healing items so I was able to have Serra focus heal Erk.
Turns: 9 Total Turn Count: 123
Chapter 15: Noble Lady of Caelin xxx This chapter went pretty smoothly cause I finally got my main squeeze Kent again. He ran up along the cliff on the right side to meet up with the rest of the units and took a couple units out along the way. Florina flew into the corner so I didn’t have to worry about her at all. Marcus charged in and was a nice wall until Erk, Eliwood, and Serra came around and took out units along side him towards the boss. I just had Bartre up on the mountain near the bandit spawns and they duked it out on the hill and mountains. There was a lot of dodging involved, but thankfully Bartre managed to defeat all the bandits with a vulnerary to help him during that process. Sain, Lyn, and Wil went on to buy myself some nice items like javelins. Sain also went along and talked to the villages since he’s free to use and I didn’t want to waste my actual drafted units while they could be charging the castle.

Twists, Turns, and Dragons, oh my! Shinon's account of FE7's Lyn+Eliwood Hard Mode! Drafted Units: Matthew, Wil, Heath, Guy, Louise, Karel, and Geitz/Wallace Free Units: Lyn for Lyn mode, Serra, Eliwood for Eliwood Mode. (And I totally forgot about Marcus, Merlinus, and Athos, oops~ xD) Part Two
------
Okay, annnnnd we're back!
Day after Christmas, what a wonderful way to become productive. >_>
PFFFF. Whatever, I mean, better now than never, right? If I procrastinated more, It wouldn't get done!
True... Ah, well. So, picking up where we left off, Mand had completed Prologue-Chapter 6, we'll now be resuming for Chapter 7 and hopefully reach the end of Lyn's mode. No Eliwood mode for you peeps yet!
Alright, so, kicking into gear, let's get this show on the road, I'll be handling Chapter 7, Stef will take 7x and we'll play it by ear afterwards, 'cause I know I'll derp hard on 7x with just four units xD Good thing I had enough foresight to grab Matthew and Wil for that chapter, though. I may not have a mounted unit, but an archer/thief combination is just as good at times. xD;; Alright, let's do this!
MISSION START!
-------
Siblings Abroad
Okay, so, Nils runs up to us and asks us to help him out like the goody two shoes we are. And, you know, I never realized the amusing aspect of this, but, Sain jumping in to want to help Nils kind of came as a surprise to me the first time I played. I mean, I never figured him to have a soft spot for kids. Even if they aren't really kids. xD Which also reminds me of this one picture I have somewhere on my TB Drive for .hack//gu with Silabus and Bo and for some reason the comparason made me laugh hysterically.
Okay, that aside, we agree to help and...bam, no sooner than we say yes, we're amidst a battle! TO ARMS, PEEPS!
This actually went much better the fourth time around cause apparently, 7x doesnt activate on turn fifteen O_o Fourth time around I managed to cut it down to turn fourteen and it worked.
Before beginning the chapter, I fed the Angelic Robe to Matthew for some srs HP boostage. If I've only got three melee units to work with, they need to freaking last and survive! Esp for 7x where Matthew's gonna have to do a buttload of dodge-tanking and just tanking in general, his HP needed a bump in a uber way. xD
Stuffed Lucius and Nils in the corner in time out. xD
Okay, so the basic outlook of this was to get Matthew's speedy feet a'movin for the village, with Wil backing him up from afar while Lyn takes care of the enemies they left in the dust while Serra heals.
Grabbed the Pure Water, Wil took care of the Mage and Merc by the bridge, then proceeded to keep everyone pushing forward to take out the Shamans, and proceeded to smack the daylights out of Heintz. All is well. xD
Right, then! There was a reason I went out of the way to get the Pure Water and not use it! 7x will be challenging, even for Stef, I assume so we're probably gonna need all the help we can get and the more Res boosts to deal with those mages in there, the better! Esp with Matthew having no Res at all. Okay, so, from here, Stef's gonna do 7x because I will utterly fail hardcore if I try. xD
-------
The Black Shadow
Oh, sure, Mand. Leave it all up to me when the going gets good. Alright, I suppose since she is intimidated by the fact we've only got three battle-usable units and the fact this map is packed with enemy units that can bring on the hurt, I can see her worry. But, I can do this! Hmm... Looking at the map, I believe I have a good strategy in mind, so let's hope all goes according to plan so I won't waste turns. RNG Gods, bless me with your luck!
Took a few restarts, simply to refine my approach as well as test a few turn moves to see if the AI would do what I figured it would or not.
Got the Hammer from the chest, looted all Vulneraries I could and the Lockpick from the thief, and utterly destroyed all enemies without much difficulty. Had a slight hairy spot where Matthew's fate rode on a dodge once, but the RNG Gods were with me and he dodged it like a boss!
Turn Count: 12.
Not bad, I was actually estimating about 15 turns, so I'll take what I can get.
...Oh, s**t. I just realized that, ahaha, Matthew leaves for this chapter. |D Derp. WELL THEN. >_> Steeeeefffff, haaaallllppppp!!
...And I suppose you want me to play this chapter, too?
Please? I'd waste uber turns if I do it cause I'd play so defensively!
Okay, fine. I'll do it. Sheesh... You're hopeless sometimes, you know that? <_<
A point you've made on me since day one, how can I forget? Anyway, good luck!
... Okay, let's see if I can pull this off.
Basically used the last of the Pure Water to tank the Mage and Shaman with Wil while heading to the Village, sent Lyn down to the forest to cut off the enemy and just tanked out the Ballista, then moved out on the double once I got the Lancereaver from the village and gave it to Lyn, she proceeded to swanky-tanky everyone on her way and Wil picked off who was left. Serra got some healz exp, but not enough to level her again. All in all, not a bad run.
Turn Count: 12
Sometimes, I have come to find that sitting and letting the enemy crash into you is the most effective way to cut turns and deal with enemies cause when you're strategically positioned, you don't die and you can kill them off faster, then proceed to book it posthaste to the next area you need to be at!
So I didn't promote Wallace, best left to keep him unpromoted til later so I can get those extra levels later for him!
Basically just made a shield between Serra on the bridge and tanked it out by letting Matthew and Wil take most of the kills with Wallace assisting at times while Lyn dealt with the bandits and soldiers on the left side with Serra respectively doin' her fabulously diva-style healing! <3
Booked it down to Eagler once all the enemies that would move towards me finished dying and killed the soldiers down there then stuck it to the man by pimp slapping Eagler around with Lyn, Wallace, and Wil. xD
Turn Count: 14
Actually pretty proud of myself for not going over fifteen. Aight, time for stats!
Warrrrggghhhhhhh, this chapter cost me so many turns, this is the time I had wished I had a mounted unit, but I suppose given what I had to work with, I did okay.
Pressed forward with Matthew and Wil with Lyn, Serra and Wallace following behind, split Matthew, Wil, and Serra to head down and around to the village and grab the Energy Ring, used it on Matthew for a Str bump, took down the snag, had Lyn and Wallace go through the trees. Picked up a Steel Bow and two Armorslayers and had everyone meet around and converge to take out Lundgren. Matthew dealt the final blow cause Lyn was in critical condition, bwahahaha, Swanky Tanky Thief triumphs again! *shot*
Turn Count: 21 X_x Blegh, I am disappointed but as I said, given the rain and no mounted units, I expected around this amount of turns. Oh, well.
Well, truthfully, I expected that number to be a lot higher, and this has also come to show that I have improved a bit in my tactics and utilization of the units I picked. Honestly the MVP of this Mode goes to Matthew. Once I got him, this dude tanked from the word go! Ahahaha, I feel rather accomplished.
I'm rather proud of you, too. You only relied on me for two maps out of this Mode. MY COUNTERPART IS GROWING UP *wail, dramatic sob*
... *eyetwitch* I wish I could hit you right now... Well, anyway. Here's to finishing Lyn Mode! Next time, we begin Eliwood's excellent adventure where Mystery and Peril reign supreme! ...Or extreme derpage on my part. Either way, stay tuned, folks, don't touch that dial!
... That was so cheesy. Agh, well, like she said, see you next time. Hopefully you'll get to see more of my awesomeness soon. >_>
Sue's Sue-per Draft! Sue's epic Lyn + Eliwood Hard Mode Challenge! Free Units: Lyn in Lyn Mode, Eliwood for Eliwood mode, Serra, Marcus, Merlinus, and Athos Drafted Units: Lucius, Rath, Hector, Raven, Rebecca, Oswin, and Nino
All right! It's time for my update! I've had tech troubles so these might be few and far in between, but I've made considerable progress!
Lyn Mode: Prologue: 7 turns - I did what I do in normal play throughs. I moved in the bandits’ range, and then I attacked the second turn. I did the same with the boss. You can never be too careful.
Chapter 1: 6 turns - I basically kept Sain and Kent out of range since I didn’t draft these two. I traded Kent’s iron sword to Lyn and went to town with those bandits.
Chapter 2: 9 turns - This one took me a while because Lyn was soloing the map. I took out the brigands and stuck Sain and Kent over by the houses. I had to take a few turns to break that wall and finally defeat the boss and seize.
Chapter 3: 11 turns - I took a turn penalty to use Florina. I wanted to save the village and get the gold. What can I say, I’m a stickler for these things. Plus I wanted/needed funds for weapons later on. I had Lyn recruit Wil so Rath could use his Iron bow later on. I mopped up the enemies with Lyn and I really wished I had the rest of my team.
Chapter 4: 7 turns - Good old chapter 4… it sure gave me no end of trouble. Realizing that I’d take turn penalties if I used Sain/Kent, I holed up everyone in Natalie’s room and had Lyn defending on the outside. Lyn proved to be formidable against the enemies! Kent took some damage from an archer shooting him on the left side, but meatshielding was allowed.
Chapter 5: 12 turns - this one was a pain in the neck. I still didn’t have the rest of my team, so Lyn had to basically solo the map again. I recruited Serra and then kept her away from enemy fire. I made sure to kill the brigand who drops the extra iron sword, and then it was boss time. I wished I could use Florina for this.
Chapter 6: 11 turns - Finally, another member of my team joins! With Rath now being a part of my group, I was able to kill some soldiers and make some progress. I got the door key from the village with Serra, and then had Lyn hit the southernmost switch. Rath took care of the rest of the enemies, the boss included. I recruited Matthew with Serra - just to say I did.
Chapter 7: 7 turns - Lucius joins the gang! Lyn, Lucius and Rath go forward to kick some major Shaman tail. I take the roundabout way, since there’s no one to carry Lucius to the boss. Once I carve a path, our favorite Monk devastates Heinz in two turns!
Chapter 7x: I wasn't able to get my turn count for this one, but I was in for a rough time with so few units than I'm used to. Rath took care of the fighters and magic users on the left side, while Lyn dealt with the mercanaries. Lucius managed to pick off some soldiers with his awesome light magic moves. (Will add turncount after finishing endgame.)
Chapter 8: 9 turns - Without Florina on my team, it was difficult to deal with the ballista. Lucius took on the mage and shaman to the right, while also smiting the brigand with his holy hand grenade. Meanwhile, a combination of Lyn’s Mani Katti and Rath’s double Iron Bow surprise took care of the cavaliers and the soldiers to the left. Rath was able to reach the archer on the ballista and take him out. I took a risk in luring some of the boss’s minions to Lucius, who survived by luck alone. He made a joke of the boss who had crap resistance.
Chapter 9: 5 turns - taking Oujay’s advice, I used Rath to rescue and rush Lyn over to Eagler. Wallace was there, just chillin’ by the village (but not visiting it.) Serra and Lucius remained benched because their defenses were too low to handle a FoW onslaught. Lucius was down to one tome use too. Rath distracted Eagler and made him use his long-range weapon, opening him to attack from Lyn’s Mani Katti and allowing her to seize pretty quickly.
Chapter 10: 12 turns - I used Florina this time, but only to transport Lyn to Lundgren’s general area. Rath and Lucius took on the enemies to the right, and Lucius scored a critial hit with his last tome use! I got him another lightning tome with Florina and traded it, and he was able to wreck a few of the reinforcements. Then Lucius attacked Lundgren and damaged him quite a bit - and I had Rath pull him to safety before he could get one-shotted. Using the Lancereaver, Lyn was also able to avoid being one-shotted, and she defeated the General once and for all. She seized the turn after.
Eliwood Mode: Chapter 11: 16 turns - Worst. turn count. ever. But I took it and ran because I reset so many times on this chapter. Rebecca was hard to keep alive against the hard mode enemies, who seem to have a lot more accuracy. I probably took a turn penalty or two for Dorcas and/or Bartre seeing combat, but it’s hard to remember. I used Marcus to clean things up when they got hairy, and dropped anyone on the fortress who needed healing. I traded Lowen’s sword so that Eliwood wouldn’t waste his Rapier. Eliwood fought the boss for two turns, and seized on a third.
Chapter 12: 9 turns - Far and away better than chapter 11. While keeping up the “snipe and strike” routine with Rebecca and Eliwood, I had Oswin and Hector show up to help out! I had Hector go shopping after finishing things off on the northern part of the map. Eliwood took out most of the enemies, with Rebecca firing off potshots when she could. Eliwood took down the boss. he gained a lot of levels this map.
Chapter 13: 15 turns - People aren’t kidding when they say 13 is an unlucky number. There are a lot of factors that made this chapter difficult to clear at all. One of those - GUY. Seriously. He came up and sniped Hector my first run of this chapter, and he didn’t stand a chance because Guy had the upper hand in the weapon triangle! I had to manuver carefully, lure him, and then of course, take a turn penalty because I had to use him to clean up the archers. And there were so many archers! What’s with hard mode and its 2-range units anyhow? Marcus saved Merlinus’s village so I’d get the Gaiden chapter. Eliwood and Hector teamed the boss, allowing everyone’s favorite redhead to seize.
Chapter 13x: 11 turns - You really only protect Merlinus for 7 turns, but Bartre was hit by an archer and there was no way to avoid it. Hector went down south and had fun with the brigands by the fortresses - meanwhile Marcus rescued Merlinus and acted as a defender for the left bridge. Eliwood went to the right bridge, occasionally fighting off enemies on two fronts. It was difficult as heck to keep Serra out of danger! Oswin swooped in from the south and became the boss beater this time around.
Chapter 14: 13 turns - I knew that Erik and his cavalry were going to give me trouble from the very beginning. The initial enemies were taken care of by Eliwood and Rebecca, while I chased after Erk with Serra (putting both of them at risk). Hector got rid of the soldiers one by one, and then he charged the front with Oswin. I moved Erk back and got Serra healed with a Vulnerary. Marcus rushed to Priscilla’s village (just like I do with a normal run of Fire Emblem 7). hey, I wanted a Mend staff. Besides, she did stay out of range and I had an extra mounted unit to go shopping. Oswin, Hector, and eventually Eliwood came together and wrecked themselves some Laus cavalry. Oswin delivered the last blow by one-shotting a puny myrmidon.
Chapter 15: 11 turns - Well, I got to see some old friends again. Using Lyn (after she rose up to level 14 in her story) was pretty cool, even if it was for only one chapter. She took on brigands and mercenaries on the left side of the map. I stuck Florina in the corner with water, since she wouldn’t get hit and I didn’t draft her. Eliwood made it to the village with the Red Gem, while Kent received an heavy lance for his village save. Hector, Oswin, Eliwood and Rebecca picked off enemies one by one. I was a bit reckless and charged forward with my two Lords, but I knew that seizing ASAP was a priority. In another attempt at this chapter, Merlinus was off’d by brigands, so I had Marcus up there to teach them a lesson. He also guarded our beloved merchant pretty well against the cavalier reinforcements that appear on turn 10.
Chapter 16: 17 turns - I take it back, this is the worst turn count ever! This was the worst chapter ever, actually. I had to rush to Raven with Priscilla, stay out of the archers’ range with both her and Serra while trying to save the soldiers so I could get the red gem. I brought Matthew along to snatch the Hero Crest, which I’ll need in order to promote Raven in future chapters. When I finally reached Raven, I took a few turns to recruit Lucius. Rebecca sniped the archers that were on the other side of the wall, with Serra healing her to keep her patched up. Eliwood took on the armor knights alone, and used his Vulneraries to keep healthy. After critting the boss, he seized just on time.
Chapter 16x: 9 turns - It’s about time I had a turn count that was in the single digits again! It was a tough decision, but I had to bench Lucius and Rebecca because only 6 units can come along in Hard Mode. There are also a lot more pirates, but thankfully the paladin boss and his flunkies didn’t move to attack Merlinus. I recruited Canas (because I can), but kept him out of range. Raven and Eliwood did most of the grunt work, while Marcus cruised along a path toward Fargus. I visited 3 out of the 4 villages, which I consider awesome. When I reached that last village, I got to Fargus the next turn.
Chapter 17: 11 turns - I took all 11 of the turns to pass this chapter, but I knew with the way his stats were, I couldn’t defeat the boss with Lucius. (A level 7 monk against a level 18 shaman? It’s not even a contest!) Instead, I used the many shamen who were spawned to level Lucius a little. He jumped from level 7 to level 10 in just one chapter, which I think is cool. Oswin and Hector held off the mercenaries to the right, with Rebecca sniping and Eliwood sweeping in to finish enemies. Raven got some experience, but not enough. When the reinforcements spawned, Rebecca took care of the fliers, while Raven took out some of the mercanaries. Eliwood and Hector tanked it all the way through this chapter, while Lucius magic-tanked against the shamen. It felt great to finally beat this one.
I’m currently trying to beat the Dread Isle chapter! More updates will come as they happen!

Oujay's log of the FE7 Draft Tournament
Drafted Units: Kent, Erk, Fiora, Ninian/Nils, Pent, Bartre, Jaffar Units Free to Use: Eliwood, Serra, Marcus, Merlinus, Athos
Chapter 16: Whereabouts Unknown xxx This chapter took a lot longer than I wanted to, but oh well. Raven died for a good cause of becoming exp like any other red unit I don’t need to recruit. As much as I wanted to get the chests for the knight crest, I feel like it wasn’t worth the penalty and extra turns to get it, so I’ll have to wait out for the next knight crest several chapters later for Kent to promote. I basically just charged forward this chapter to the boss and seized. The reinforcement cavaliers at the bottom was almost a problem for Merlinus cause I took the risk of leaving him unguarded, but luckily Merlinus dodged enough so that he survived by the end of the chapter.
Turns: 11 Total Turn Count: 143
Chapter 16x: The Port of Badon xxx To reach Fargus, I just had Kent go around while everyone else got as much exp as they could with the pirates and Damian when he arrived. I also recruited Canas only because of the fact he gives me a free secret book and that would be useful for my drafted units in the future. Bartre and Erk got some nice levels and well that’s all I can remember about this chapter. Moving on.
Turns: 6 Total Turn Count: 149
Chapter 17: Pirate Ship xxx This chapter was fairly short and very easy to take care of. I had undrafted units shop for items while my draft units focused on actually defending the ship. I had most of my units guard the right side where most of the enemy units were and then had Kent blaze towards the boss and take him out asap. Kent, why are you so awesome.
Turns: 5 Total Turn Count: 154
Chapter 18: The Dread Isle xxx This chapter took a bit because of the fact I needed Florina out to actually recruit Fiora. The problem was since it’s a Fog of War map, I can’t exactly figure out where all the pirates on top will be so it took many tries to keep Florina out of range while waiting for Fiora to come in so I can recruit her. I eventually had Marcus stay on top with Florina to keep her safe and have extra company, the rest of my draft team charged forward towards Uhai while this happened. Eventually I finally recruited Fiora and she quickly became a viable unit to help take out enemies, thank heavens she came with an axereavers cause I really used the hell out of that against all dem pirates. Also Merlinus managed to survive another round though the pirates got a hit or two at him.
Turns: 8 Total Turn Count: 162
Chapter 18x: Imprisoner of Magic xxx Before the chapter started, I fed Fiora a good chunk of my stat boost items which would help her catch up a good chunk of the way. Just taking some of FD’s advice I remember him saying in the blast, I thought it was a decent idea since Fiora is the last unpromoted unit I get and she’ll need things to play catch up with everyone else. Now to the part where the chapter actually starts, it was fairly easy. I hadn’t realized that Kent was level 19 and I don’t have a knight crest for him just yet to promote, so I had him straggle in the back a bit and focus more on random units while the rest of the team more focused on charging at Aion to finish the chapter. Fiora went up and took out all dem peg knights for good exp and protected Merlinus from them too. Aion was obviously easy to take down, but I decided to skip trying to kill all of Kishuna’s minions because I felt like the extra turns wouldn’t be worth the exp I would be getting (also since I can use chapter 22x and 26x to get extra exp that won’t even hurt my turn count in the future)
Turns: 7 Total Turn Count: 169
Chapter 19: Dragon’s Gate xxx I honestly thought I would have a harder time on this chapter than I expected, but it actually only took me two tries to beat the chapter. The only reason I even resetted was because of the fact I took advantage of the fact Legault steals the guiding ring from the chest for me, so I can just kill him and he drops the item for me and I don’t get a turn penalty from trying to pry open the chests (cause I had no chest keys). It costed me one extra turn for me, but I felt like it was worth that one extra turn since I need two guiding rings for both Erk and Serra and getting promotion items isn’t fun when I haz no thieves to steal things for me. So I had Fiora, Eliwood, and Marcus charge down the center towards the paladin boss and then at Laus himself while Bartre, Erk, and Kent went through the doors with the archers and towards the chests on the right to kill Legault and have him drop the guiding ring for me. Equipping fiora with a heavy spear and a horse slayer was a great choice and gives her exp fast so that she can catch up with all dem juicy exps. Kent capped out at level 20 which kind of sucks since he won’t get a knight crest till a couple chapters still and he will probably be soaking some exp that could be spent. Oh wells.
Twists, Turns, and Dragons, oh my! Shinon's account of FE7's Lyn+Eliwood Hard Mode! Drafted Units: Matthew, Wil, Heath, Guy, Louise, Karel, and Geitz/Wallace Free Units: Lyn for Lyn mode, Eliwood for Eliwood Mode. Serra, Marcus, Merlinus, and Athos are also free use. Part Three
Well, we're back in action, peeps! This time, we start Eliwood Mode and bring on the hurt (or derp xD) for a while!
And right off the bat, you need my help. >_>
I DID NOT FORSEE THE FACT I WOULD ONLY HAVE ELIWOOD AND MARCUS TO WORK WITH FOR A BIT. WHOOPS. DX See what I mean? Bringin' on the derp here, folks.
Aye... Fine, then. Guess it's up to me, huh? Very well.
Commencing Operation "Don't ******** this up".
---------
Taking Leave
Well, as Mand mentioned, she did not have enough foresight to figure we'd just have Eliwood and Marcus for a few chapters, but it's no real biggie in my opinion.
Right, then.
This took me four restarts to get the results I needed for the first two turns I made.
St-strenuous? You call taking on a buttload of enemies with only two usable units 'strenuous'?
Well, I'm not the one with the lack of foresight when it came to picking our units. >_> And you'd derp repeatedly and ragequit after a few restarts, so I might as well do this one, too. Strenuous is a suitable word.
Pfff, there goes your ego...
Well, I have reason to have it. Now hush, let me play this map and get us farther along.
Fffs, fine, fine...
Right then, as I said to sum up this map: Strenuous. Used Marcus to grab the Secret Book from the village and sent Eliwood to the house as the Fort was one square out of his range.
Oh god, it looked a bit grim for a moment as I moved Hector and Oswin around to stay out of range while I sent Marcus up to get the enemies up there while I let Eliwood tank everything from the fort.
Not as difficult as Mand thought it would be. All in all, pretty straight run-of-the-mill, hack-everything-to-pieces thing.
YAY, we get Serra and her fabulously diva-style self back! I CAN HAVE MY OTP AT LAST BWAHAHAHAHA! *shot* And my MVP, Matthew! As well as getting to add Guy to our arsenal once I get my butt down there to recruit him. |D
They return just where I left them off at in stats and level, which pleases me greatly. Matthew is gonna be my MVP again for a while until Guy develops into the beast he is. xD
Right then, first order of business is to have Dorcas fork over the Energy Ring and have Eliwood fork over the Dracoshield to Matthew. We're gonna put these to use, soon.
Used the Dracoshield on Matthew.
And right off the bat, BAM, when Matthew's attacked, INSTA-DEATH-PWNAGE AND LEVEL UP IN ONE GO. This boy works overtime, man. Love him to pieces.
Everything goes pretty smoothly, cleared everyone out on the bottom side, had Marcus swing around the other way and then got Guy.
Matthew (aka our Star of this Playthru. At least until I get Heath and make Guy super awesome *shot*) Lvl: 13 Exp: 12 Hp: 36 Str: 7 Skill: 10 Spd: 18 Luck: 6 Def: 5 Res: 1
Ta-daaa! Sure, I sacrificed two turns for stocking up on items, but it was WORTH IT.
The Peddler Merlinus
Well, uh, given that I don't have full range use of all the units, it simply wasn't possible for me to haul my a** up there and kill the boss, however I DID get to the village and gain some levels, so, all is well. xD
Before going into battle, I traded items around and whatnot to make it more managable before removing all my non-picked units out of the party roster.
Used the Secret Book on Matthew for some more Skillz0rz then started the battle.
Pretty much just tanked everything like normal xD Sent Matthew to do some shopping and visited the villages, woot. All in all, it wasn't too hard. Erik didn't even prove a challenge to me. Fffff, pansies.
YAY I FINALLY GET WIL BACK. I HAVE MISSED YOU, HOMEBOI. Time to spank some peeps now, yo!
(Heaven help me, I think she's gotten too gungho for her own good... <_<)
FFFFF SHUSH, STEF. Besides, getting another person back on our team is good! It'll be a bit before we get Heath and the rest of them. So anyway, Lyn needs our help because we're awesome like that so she sends Florina to do a...not-so-graceful swan dive to alert us that they're kind of boxed in and they need to get back to Castle Caelin pronto cause Lord Hausen is still there. What is it with Lords either staying to the bitter end or fleeing like mice? Oh, well. REGULATORS, LET'S RIDE~! *shot*
I had to restart a few times... I nearly ragequitted because of how far along I was before the reinforcements showed up and decimated a few of my units xD;; I mean, I'm all for letting Kent and Sain die cause they're not my drafted units, but letting my only healer Serra die? Oh hell no, y'all.
So basically I had Marcus tank most of the cavaliers and the hoarde of the enemy while letting the others take out the stragglers, grabbed the Gem and Heavy Spear from the villages, sold the gem and lyn's gem, bought items and...yeah. I am...not really happy with my turn count but given I only had one mounted unit and how many enemies there were plus reinforcements AND how huge the map was, I don't think I could have minimized the turns any more.
Wellllll theeeeen....>_> I....think I'm just gonna blow on by Raven or kill him if he comes by cause I need to make up for last chapter with a short turn count. AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR YOU AND YOUR PANSY a**, RAVEN. >:C Or Lucius, for that matter. Even though I just totally wrote a fanfic about him...SO SORRY LUCIUS, DEAR. NEXT PLAYTHRU, I PROMISE.
So, uh, before battle fed Wil the Goddess Icon I ganked from Erk before stuffing him in the Time Out corner to chill for the remainder of the game. xD Cause 'dis boi, he needs either magical crits or moar speed 'cause right now, he's lackin' in both. PICK UP THE PACE, BOI, MATTHEW'S LEFT YOU IN THE DUST. O:<
Right then. Here we go!
Ahhhh....Looted all chests, I did end up killing Raven, and everyone but Eliwood and Matthew got some levels. WOOT.
....Well, I know I'm really struggling, and I didn't join the draft to win it, I did it to improve my abilities. And this is definitely an improvement.
I'll say. Then again, you did have my help on some of these so it's only natural~
Pffff. Hush, Stef. Stop boasting. Anyway, I can't think of any witty ending line, so I'll just say that we'll see you next time!
Lates, all.

Sue's Sue-per Draft! Sue's epic Lyn + Eliwood Hard Mode Challenge! Free Units: Lyn in Lyn Mode, Eliwood for Eliwood mode, Serra, Marcus, Merlinus, and Athos Drafted Units: Lucius, Rath, Hector, Raven, Rebecca, Oswin, and Nino
It's time for another update of my FE 7 draft progress! Let's see how my team is doing, shall we?
Their levels are coming along without other units taking exp from them. I have to say that this has been my most successful hard mode run yet! Eliwood actually doubles things, Hector can OHKO with the right weapon, and Lucius is a magical tank. Serra's magic stat could be a little better, I'm considering feeding her an energy ring, but I haven't decided if I should save all my stat boosters for Nino later on. Raven could use some more levels. I'll need to train him up in my current chapter, Dragon's Gate.
Without further ado, let's get into my chapter progress!
Chapter 18 - 14 turns - The Dread Isle Chapter. I managed to be quite efficient, despite the Fog of War and the lack of a thief in my ranks. I had Eliwood take on the upper right side of the map all by himself, with Lucius picking off enemies with his light magic. There were a few close calls with the fliers that came as reinforcements, but Serra managed to heal in time.
Marcus floated around to wherever he was needed. I brought along Florina and kept her out of the fighting so she could recruit Fiora, and I would have two more weapons in my convoy. Hey, weapons are valuable.
Raven took on the upper left side of the map and faced an onslaught of pirates. He gained more levels than he could have hoped for in the Pirate Ship chapter, but he still needs more training!
Oswin and Hector took the south end of the map, with Rebecca finishing off anyone who lived against their onslaught. I baited Uhai into using his longbow on Oswin, and then assaulted him close-range with a combination of Eliwood's Rapier and Lucius's light tome. All went well! I received an Orion's bolt for my troubles, as well as access to the gaiden chapter!
Chapter 18x - 10 turns - I actually replayed Imprisoner of Magic, because I'd got an awful turn count due to trying to finish off the boss with Raven. On my second, more successful run though, I really pushed forward and tore through the defenseless mages with Hector and Oswin. Eliwood, Raven and Rebecca trailed behind, mopping up stragglers as they went. I figured out that there were mage reinforcements that come after Merlinus my first run, so Lucius stayed behind and took care of them this time. He gained some nice experience from them.
My turn count could have been 9 turns, but I needed Eliwood's accuracy to finish off Aion. Our redheaded Lord gains a level, and seizes the next turn.
More updates coming up as I take on Chapter 19: Dragon's Gate!
Because my current computer had to be mailed in to be serviced, and my ROM data and emulators were in the Documents folder of that computer, I can't actually progress with this draft until I get my computer back. My apologies, guys.
I had an update almost done through chapter 19, though, so hopefully I'll be able to get that up shortly after I get my Pavilion back.

(Good luck with your computer, Mallow! The sooner you can rejoin us, the better! =D)
Sue's Sue-per Draft! Sue's epic Lyn + Eliwood Hard Mode Challenge! Free Units: Lyn in Lyn Mode, Eliwood for Eliwood mode, Serra, Marcus, Merlinus, and Athos Drafted Units: Lucius, Rath, Hector, Raven, Rebecca, Oswin, and Nino
All right, it's that time again! I've played a few more chapters. Unfortunately, I forgot to do a turn count for Chapter 20 and 22, but I'll get them at endgame.
Chapter 19 - 10 turns The Dragon's Gate chapter was a bit tricky. At first, I didn't know where Legault's AI was going to go, and I thought he'd escape if I didn't catch him when he opened the door. However, after figuring out his AI, I was able to trap him using Marcus and Raven. Rebecca took care of the archers and fighters to the way south, close to Merlinus.
Eliwood, Hector and Oswin charged through the middle, destroying any mounted units that came their way. Lyn was forced in this chapter, so I brought her along to recruit Legault. Lucius took care of some of the reinforcements, until I plugged those stairs in the middle room with Serra.
Some fliers showed up, but Rebecca made quick work of them.
Chapter 20 - No turn count for New Resolve. However, I do remember the boss rushing me, so I had to finish it pretty quickly. Instead of relying on a thief and a torch, I gave most of my units torches (how did I get so many?) to reveal the pathways. Oswin and Lucius stopped by the armory and vendor respectively, picking up supplies. Hector, Eliwood, and Raven fought on the front lines, with Rebecca supporting with pot shots. Not a difficult chapter at all.
Chapter 21 - 3 turns No, I am not kidding. I really beat this chapter in 3 turns out of necessity. The boss came and rushed me, and his movement is quick! I was barely able to recruit Rath and start picking off their fliers by the time it was all over. Rath came to me at level 12, which is pretty freakin' cool. Also, his longbow and short bow were a great help.
Lucius, Raven, and Rebecca took care of some of Eubans's men while Oswin and Hector fought the Paladin. He went down without hardly any effort, scoring Oswin a handy Knight Crest! I didn't manage to recruit Heath though.
Chapter 22 - No turn count for Living Legend either, but I. don't. care. This chapter gave me no end of trouble because of the desert, limited movement, fewer units allowed, and Pent's AI not healing himself when he's in trouble! I reset on this one so many times, it's hard to keep track how many. I really hope this one was under 20.
Anyway, so let's get back to how I lived through this. After distributing stat boosters (I'm a hoarder, don't judge me), I promoted Lucius to a Bishop at level 15. I had him go to the left side of the map, baiting Jasmine. He got hit by his handaxe, but Lucius used an Elixir, so he was fine. Eliwood and company fought the units on the green.
I took a turn penalty to recruit and use Hawkeye on Paul, because he'd killed my team members so much and I just wanted to give him a Killer Axe to his face! Man, that felt good.
Stay tuned as I make mincemeat out of Linus Reed in Four Fanged Offense, I find out whether I'm fighting a bishop or assassin in Pale Flower of Darkness, and survive Bern's mighty wyverns in Unfulfilled Heart.
Chapter 20: New Resolve xxx Woo I get Ninian in this chapter! time for more dancing stuff sweetness. This chapter I thought was going to be a lot harder and longer than I anticipated. I also get my beautiful Elysian Whip for Fiora in this chapter which I snagged before killing off Oleg. Pretty straightforward chapter, I had Florina buy stuff from the shops away from all the enemies. Kent was level 20 so I had him hang back to take care of straggler enemies around the village while Fiora charged from the top and every else charged forward along with the help of Ninian’s dances. It is really nice to allow units to move again as well as attacking again for speed and exp.
Turns: 4 Total Turn Count: 181
Chapter 21: Kinship’s Bond xxx Since Euban kind of charges at you in this chapter, I was forced to end it pretty quickly since his range is pretty much half of the map. I didn’t recruit Rath (sorry Rath) and I killed off Heath for juicy exps like I brutally do in my draft plays when I don’t need to recruit red units. Fiora is quickly catching up in levels since she’s so awesome now. I was kind of scared at the center of the map because I didn’t have enough melee units to really make a full wall of protection, but I managed to kill of Eubans and get some exp from the units around that area before it got toooo horrible. I used Marcus to widdle him down and gave the final blow to Fiora cause she deserves it. Oh yeah and Uther cameo.
Turns: 3 Total Turn Count: 184
Chapter 22: Living Legend xxx This chapter was such a freaking pain in the butt and I had to reset it sooo many times. The problem was that I needed the hero crest on the otherside of the map for Bartre to promote and I also wanted to get 22x by talking to Hawkeye AND I needed to keep Pent alive too. What sucks is that Pent doesn’t even know how to use his Elixir and the fact RNG was nice to me and had everything below 50 hit Pent 100% of the time, it caused me to reset this chapter quite a bit. In the end I did manage to keep Pent alive and get the hero crest for Bartre. I also got a nice little extra Ocean Seal for monies since Hawkeye was right there next to the spot. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get enough exp to get 22x for extra free exp time. I did reset the chapter after my first success and went back to 22 to see if I could get enough exp, but even when I rescued Pent on turn 2 I still didn’t get enough exp for 22x so I just gave up and moved on to chapter 23, it wasn’t worth the effort anymore.
Turns: 5 Total Turn Count: 189
Chapter 23: Four-Fanged Offense xxx For some odd reason Legault somehow managed to join my team even though I killed him in chapter 19 because he was holding the guiding ring for me that I needed for Serra and Erk. Anyways, this chapter was a slight pain (but not as bad as the previous chapter) as the level 7 snipers along with their ballistas pretty much scared Fiora, Ninian, and Serra. I kept Ninian and Serra out of range from the ballistas and Fiora I gave her an elixir since she could survive at least one ballista hit. She did doge quite nicely too. Kent went around to take care of the units on the right where Wallace gracefully died. Florina once again was used to purchase items for me from the shops with the new 25k I got with the ocean seal. Everyone else went straight forward towards Lloyd and his castle. I baited Lloyd out with Marcus and once again Fiora got the final kill. (I tried giving it to Eliwood since he was pretty low level, but he just wouldn’t hit Lloyd so I had to give it to someone else with a higher hit chance, bad eliwood) OH speaking of Eliwood, I also gave him the afa drops since he seems to need it the most.
Turns: 7 Total Turn Count: 196
Chapter 24: Unfulfilled Heart xxx This chapter scared me at first because I needed to keep Louise, Lyn, and Hector out of the way from danger while I made my way down towards the center area. Fiora got promoted at level 19 to a falcon knight. she was really close to level 20, but she would just be soaking up exp I could be giving to others being stuck at level 20 and promoting in the middle of a battle seems very inconvenient since I can be using that time to attack units. Also I felt like one level won’t really make that much of a difference since she’s already awesome. And Fiora just became even more awesome this chapter taking care of the whole top right corner by herself while shopping for items for me. Definitely my MVP for this whole draft, gotta thank FD again for the idea of dumping all my stat boost items to her lol. Pent protected my undrafted units while they moved out of danger and everyone did pretty much fine with all the oncoming wyverns and bandits. I even had time for Marcus to rescue Eliwood to go down to the bottom where they took out the too nomads and got the nice Hammerne from Ursula

Eliwood Hard Mode Draft: Mounted Units Are a Few of My Favorite Things Part Two: Getting to the Good Parts [Part One] [Part Two]
Fargus is a huge cheater. 85 HP? Come on, man. Also, those freakin' ridiculous eyes on Hector and Eliwood. (Clearly I purposely screencapped them blinking at the same time.)
Anyway, the process was about as predictable as you’d imagine, given Florina’s presence. I ferried her up and around the area in which Fargus would have launched the offensive, using Lowen and Eliwood to fend off attackers and keep them away from my healers so she could speak to him. Hm, I tell myself, let’s have the young girl talk to the huge, craggy man that leads a bunch of pirates. Good idea!
Turns out it was. Haha!
~ * ~ * ~ * ~
This chapter took me longer than I would have enjoyed, but I eventually managed to get things to work my way. Eliwood and Serra took point near the shops and Merlinus' tent, near the stairs, to fend off the waves of enemy units in that direction, while the others all moved down and around towards Zoldam. As always, Matthew's fat butt was carted along, this time with Marcus, in order to steal away his Guiding Ring. (Don't worry Serra or Priscilla, one of you will hit Lvl 10 soon...) Then it was just a matter of getting whatever EXP I could before Marcus laid him out flat and the chapter ended prematurely. Hooray!
~ * ~ * ~ * ~
After accomplishing the chapter initially in 12 turns, I decided to redo the chapter and focus my firepower to the south, rather than splitting it evenly between the north and the south. Marcus went north on his own to grab the Torch staff for future chapters (and if necessary, some easy EXP), and everyone else moved south. Dart was relatively useful in taking down cavaliers as they approached, with Eliwood generally being used to help weaken enemies or take out pirates that were attacking Merlinus. I had to sacrifice Fiora, though. I’m sorry, sweetheart. I would’ve saved you if it wouldn’t have meant pulling Florina away from her endgoal. ;_; Florina and Marcus ended up doing a team effort to get rid of Uhai, which worked excellently since it meant he could only use his sword. Good thing I’ll be getting an Elysian Whip next chapter!
~ * ~ * ~ * ~
This chapter could have possibly gone a little quicker had I not needed to obtain that Elysian Whip (and not have Matthew completely get laid out flat and die), but I think I did fairly well despite that. Anyway!
I used Florina to lure the pegasus knights over, then she and Dart killed the ones remaining after Matthew stole that Elysian Whip away. Everyone else moved south and around up to where Aion was as quickly as possible, so he could be killed and Eliwood could daintily step across all the bodies to claim the throne. Worked out fairly well, and people still even got some levels.
~ * ~ * ~ * ~
And now we see why I bought so many Door Keys earlier on in the game.
Lyn looks so fed up with Legault's s**t already.
Eliwood, Marcus, Florina, and Serra went up through the room while Dart, Priscilla, Lowen, and Lyn went up through the open path to deal with the cavaliers and recruit Legault. Marcus was, after exiting that central building area, able to bust through the wall and kill the Thieves as they moved up and opened chests in order to claim their goodies for himself without illegally using Matthew. Oswin, through all this, Rescued Hector and parked his butt in the corner. The two of them probably spent a while talking through Hector's insecurities, I'd say, probably pretty healthy for the big guy. Legault claimed the two chests to the west while everyone else moved up and reamed Darin with the newly-promoted Florina's help, and Eliwood claimed the throne in order to go on with the story.
Turncount: 180 + x
... :c
Current Stats
Note: I'm considering re-trying Lyn's Mode to see if I can cut down my turncount in any appreciable amount. If I do that and I end up restarting the rest of the draft as a result, I'll sum up my turncount per chapter in the next relevant update up to that point before continuing.
Twists, Turns, and Dragons, oh my! Shinon's account of FE7's Lyn+Eliwood Hard Mode! Drafted Units: Matthew, Wil, Heath, Guy, Louise, Karel, and Geitz/Wallace Free Units: Lyn for Lyn mode, Eliwood for Eliwood Mode. Serra, Marcus, Merlinus, and Athos are also free use. Part IV
Annnnnnnd we're back, peeps! Did you miss us?
Prolly not, they didn't come to hear us gab and be annoying.
HEY D< I'm here to provide the entertainment that goes along with the somewhat boringness of the Draft summaries!
Yes, yes, no need to get so spazzy. Still, the point of the draft is to show our skills, which, admittedly, we aren't quite up to par with everyone else.
No, that is true, we aren't, but I don't care. I didn't join the draft team for competition, I did it to give myself a set goal to finish FE7 and improve my abilities. I'm sort of forced to think outside of the box with my strategies than play it safe like normal. My usual runthroughs I am mage/archer/flier oriented with horse riders and thieves taking up the left over spaces. Being forced to use other units as well as being sort of depraved of long-range mobility by not having cavaliers, peg knights, ect has made it harder, but much more eye-opening when figuring out how to deal with situations.
I do admit, watching you play these last few chapters has really impressed me with how well you're adapting to the curve of not having a lot of the units you prefer.
Aww, that's sweet. Now then, I don't think anyone came here to hear us get all pillow talk-y so let's get this show on the road, hm?
>_> Pillow talk? Fff, no, Mand. It's only pillow talk when I'm saying it all in french or spanish to you.
P(UWJRTIGH)HU;NFHIGLNWF AGH STFU >/////< I'M STARTING NOW
>D
Beginning Phase 'Ignore Stef and Obliterate All Enemies', go!
-----------
The Port of Badon
Alrighty, then. Pirates ahoy and what have you. And that Black Fang dude, but I'm not worried. 'Kay, then. Let's see how well I do. If I get too rage-y I'll make Stef do this. |D
(I see how it is. I'm so used here, folks.)
Ffff, you know you want a chance to show off your 'mad skills', don't complain. Anyway, let's do this!
Surprisingly, things went very smoothly. I didn't have to restart and where I thought we were gonna have some issues with the hoarde of Pirates and s**t, we didn't. Pretty much shoved our way straight through and decimated everything and even had enough time for two Arena matches to get Guy and Wil boosted up some more, yay! Grabbed every item from the houses, recruited Canas, and talked to Fargus. s**t got accomplished mucho bueno and in short time!
Woooo, they're turning out so awesome, I am SO PROUD. No RNG screwage for me, yay! *shot*
--------
Pirate Ship
And so we find Ninian adrift at sea and when she wakes up, has no memory and then we get stormed by moar Black Fang dumdums who put a hole in the ship to sink us so, ALL HANDS BELOW DECK, YA SCURVY DOGS! while we decimate the enemy.
Pretty much straightforward again.
The Defend Turncount was 11, but...
Turns Taken: 7
Killed the Boss to end it at 7, go me xD
Matthew stole all that needed to be stolen and we decimated everyone. Not too shabby!
So proud of my swanky tanky Matthew, he tears everything apart with the Silver Sword I gave him and dodges everything like a BOSS. This chapter, no spells from the Shamans hit him. Ever. It was GLORIOUS. He went right up to the Boss, stole his Guiding Ring and when the dude tried to Luna him, he just ******** LAUGHED IN HIS FACE AS HE DODGED AND PIMP SLAPPED HIM WHATFOR. Ahahahahaha!!! And what Matthew didn't kill of the Shamans, Wil one-shotted. So all in all, I am thoroughly pleased as pie with these two.
---------
The Dread Isle
In which we find out Lord Elbert freed Nils and Ninian, Nergal is going to try and summon dragons, Leila tries to escape and gets one-shotted by Jaffar, we find her corpse and then get ambushed by a Sacaean named Uhai who decides to give us a chance to die with honor but instead we're gonna turn the tables and let HIM die with honor, woot woot.
Right, have I mentioned how much I dislike Fog of War chapters?
Well, I do.
But this time around I did very well!
Sent Matthew and Marcus around on the right side and had Guy and Wil hold the forts with Serra healing and Eliwood defending against the Pirates. Brought Florina to get Fiora then parked them by Merlinus and moved Dart out of harm's way. Pretty simple. Matthew took out Uhai like the swanky tanky uber thief he is now.
Turns Taken: 11
And so Uhai with his honor as he dies, tells us how to get to the Dragon's Gate! What a nice guy. So we march off in that direction xD;;
Well, Matthew's usefulness is a bit stunted now as he's maxed out and may sap EXP from others so I think I'll try to have him hang back to let the others gain some more EXP. It may cost me a few turns for that, though, so we'll see. But all things considered, I think I'm doing pretty good! ^^
--------
Imprisoner of Magic
This one I sacrificed a few turns to have Matthew hang back as well as to kill Kishuna's bodyguards to get more exp, but it was well worth it so I'm not sorry. xDDD
Had Matthew steal items and the Silver Card, so all is well.
Whew, they're getting pretty beastly if I do say so myself. Guy's maxed in Skill and Spd, now if he can start filling out in Str and Luck some more I will be very happy as he can start bringin' on the crits like a boss.
--------
Dragon's Gate
Agh, this one's gonna probably prove challenging and painstaking on my part.
Okay so, before battle start, I switch weapons and items around. Gave Guy the Lancereaver, Eliwood the Longsword, Marcus the Heavy Spear and Horseslayer, gave Serra the Unlock staff. I think we're ready to roll.
FFFFFFF Dammit. Well, I only had to restart once, but this cost me a s**t-ton of turns because eff, I decided to kill EVERYONE for exp-farmage to catch up in levels as well as loot all chests and items. Recruited Legault and stuck him in the time-out corner away from danger and sat Lyn upon the stair-thing where the Shamans and Mercs pop up and just had Hector sit there and look pretty. xD I am disappointed in myself for how long it took me to complete but I'm NOT in the mood to restart and do it over.
Turns Taken: 28
On the upside, the levels I gained were good ones.
While I dislike the amount of turns this took, I am pleased with the growths everyone got. So I suppose it was an okay trade off... But it still irks me. Ah well.
--------
New Resolve
And so, Lord Elbert kicks the bucket, Nils pops up to stop Ninian from bringin' on the dragons, and in the process before Elbert dies, he wounds Nergal. Eliwood has his dramatic yelling moment and when we get back to Badon, we get attacked. No rest for the weary, eh? Welp, let's DO THIS.
So Ninian comes out to help, but we tell her NO, GTFO and stuff her in the time out corner to sit and contemplate her actions! D< *shot*
So kept Matthew back for the most part and let the others EXP-Farm.
SO PISSED OFF THOUGH. Had to reset ONCE because RNG decided to mock me and Ballista-crit Guy in the face on a 36. *flips table*
Second time around was much better. xD
So, went 'round and got all the items from the houses, Arena-spammed Guy, Wil worked his a** off and Promoted, yay! Everyone leveled except Matthew cause, yeah, he's maxed already and we don't get a promotional item for him for a while. |D
Turns Taken: 16
WOOOOOOOO I AM SO STOKED MAN. Guy is almost ready for promotion and Wil /DID/ promote! So ******** happy and this next chapter, I GET HEATH, YO!! *spazzola*
(Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, man, you'd think it was Christmas come early or something... Though, I don't blame her. Heath's a badass unit when the RNG is kind. Let's hope the RNG gods shine on us for this draft with him or else we're gonna derp so hard... >_>)
This...is true. But I figure if we feed him the Afa Drops he'll turn so swanky tanky it'll be amazing! 8D
WOOOOOOOOO I feel so awesome right now. xDDD Anyway, yeah, ONWARDS!
--------
Kinship's Bond
Right then, goal is to get those two damn chests, recruit Heath and possibly Rath (for items you know xD, then we just stuff him into the time out corner and let him sit and be pouty xDDDD) and steal anything worth stealing/not nailed down.
I had to restart three times and gahhhh
It got a bit hairy for a moment the fourth time, things did not go like I planned but it worked to my advantage. I pretty much baited Heath up to try and engage Matthew with Hector near by to recruit him while I sent Lyn to get Rath and Eliwood to help Marcus, Wil, and Guy tank down the middle xD;; It worked, woot.
So, we're gonna feed him some kills and hopefully level him. Also fed him the Angelic Robe Isadora came with to give him some much needed HP lurve so he can take those damn hits like the badass he is.
And, ugh, I didn't manage to get both chests open, I got the one with the Brave Axe in it for later usage rather than the money. I'm not strapped for cash, believe it or not. I've been managing my funds rather well.
So, anyway, close call, man, I used up the turn limit. As in, I literally had Marcus kill Eubans on the last turn. xDD
Turn Count: 11
FFFFF, well, I'm not gonna complain, I got EXP galore, Heath got a level, I got some goodies and pulled through by the skin of my teeth, for realz. Eliwood and Guy had 1 HP left and were out of Vulneraries. I AM BEAST, YO |D *shot* Guy maxed level so I promoted him after the battle and before the next chapter, so I'll give you his stats below for that instead of what he ended the turn on.
So, all in all, asses were kicked, loot was plundered, and EXP was gained and it was gewd, GEWD I SAY. *shot*
Turns Taken this Update: 96
Overall Turncount for this Draft: 329
Eh, not bad, I suppose. Actually I'm pretty happy with that number compared to all my other files with a bazillion turns taken. xDD
----------
And that's all I'm covering for now, we'll continue next time at the Nabata desert where we meet Hawkeye and Pent. Woot woot.
When are you going to let me have a chance to play? I'm getting antsy up in here, you know.
Yeah, I know. I think I may let you handle the Desert and the extra chapter for shits'n'giggles. I definitely know you're gonna handle a few of the upcoming later chapters because I know I'll suxx0rz hardcore. xD
Ffff, so I'm just a situational use, am I? I see how it is. You see it firsthand, people. I am only a commodity to this woman. <_<
PFFFT. You are not. And I could be selfish and do this whole damn thing myself. But I'm nice and I wanted to do something with you. I couldn't have gotten through the chapters you handled on my own without wasting serious turns so I am glad you did them. D:
Yeah, I know. I'm teasing you. Anyway, let's wrap this up and go boot up our ps2. I think a certain friend of ours is about to spontaneously combust if we don't hurry up. xD
Oh, right. Yeah. Whoops. ^^;;; So, yeah, gonna poof now. STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT UPDATE, FOLKS. SAME SHINON TIME, SAME SHINON CHANNEL! PEACE OUT!
... *facepalm* And there she goes with the cheesy lines... Agh, my torture never ends. See you later, everyone.

I decided to restart my draft after all. I was absolutely certain that I could cut down my turncount, and turns out, I could. Strategies were generally the same, and I'll list differences as best as I can recall here:
→ Chapter 4: Florina went north to kill Mercenaries while Lyn handled nearly all of the lower-fort defenses on her own. There's a reason why Lyn actually ended up higher-leveled this time around than last time...
→ Chapter 7x: Florina went up the middle route while Lyn and Serra wound around the side. Eventually they met up and Florina was able to blaze forward to take out the boss before someone died. Sorry, Hellene, not letting you hurt Ninian or Nils.
→ Chapter 9: Florina rescued Lyn and carried her off towards the castle, dropping her the second turn after Rescuing her. Prevented Florina from getting a lot of EXP, but it also cut the turncount down and that's what this playstyle is for, man.
→ Chapter 10: Florina, again, Rescued Lyn and dropped her off down at the southern area. Then she went back up and did the same for Serra. I ended up having to be a little more cautious than I would have liked; people kept getting swarmed and killed, and I couldn't keep Lyn with her Mani Katti forever, because I needed it to take out Lundgren. Florina didn't have enough strength or speed on her own to take him out with the Heavy Spear. But I at least managed to get to the village and gave Florina that free Energy Ring! Life is still sweet.
→ Chapter 12: Used Rebecca to buy some extra weapons I knew I'd need (especially extra swords for Eliwood) while Marcus briefly went north to slay the enemies that bunch up near Hector and Oswin. Eliwood and Lowen went to the east side of the map and killed off the bandits as they arrived. Eliwood was actually surprisingly beefy through all of this; he probably did about 75% of the slaying on his own, easy.
→ Chapter 13: Brought along Matthew and actually managed to recruit Guy! I really wanted that Killing Edge, okay? I thought it'd come in handy for later, give Eliwood some extra firepower without sacrificing too much of his Rapier immediately. Marcus went along the north on his own, otherwise, using a Javelin to speed things along and grab Merlinus' gaiden without sacrificing too much in the way of turncount while still ensuring Lowen got enough battletime to comfortably rise in levels.
→ Chapter 13x: Managed to kill Puzon during the normal chapter. Unfortunately, killing Puzon does NOT end the chapter early, as we've all discovered. The chapter went about the same as last time otherwise.
→ Chapter 14: Marcus forged hard south to grab Priscilla, then headed right up to wipe out Erik and his snot-nosed goons. Lowen and Eliwood mopped up in the center, then went to the east to kill off the pirates. Serra recruited Erk so I could take his stuff. I actually had to restart this chapter a few times; first I positioned a couple of characters poorly and they died from low hit chances, and then another time a wounded Pirate fled back into the ocean to heal up on his Fort. Yeah, can't really waste about 4 turns waiting for a pirate to heal up just so I can try again to kick his a**. I definitely made sure to account for that the next time! And it worked out a lot better. Merlinus even lived!
From Chapter 15 onward, virtually all of my chapter strategies mainly differed in that Florina wasn't quite the Valkyrie goddess riding out of Valhalla that she was the first time around, when I took more turns to proceed but gave her way more experience in return. Any other small differences were as thus:
→ Chapter 18: Sent Dart and Lowen up north on the first turn to immediately take out the enemy Thief with the Torch staff, put it immediately on Priscilla to light up the area and afford her constant, free EXP. Eliwood, Florina, and Marcus forged south to wipe through the swarms of annoyingly-accurate enemies to reach Uhai. Florina needed a lot more help and necessitated many more resets than I would have liked, but eventually I managed to simply hit a groove from repeating the same moves so many times. Fiora, once again, died. Oops.
→ Chapter 18x: Marcus ferried Eliwood over to Aion in order to save some turns. I managed to grab the village with the Goddess Icon, as well. Not much difference otherwise.
→ Chapter 19: Still moved Lyn with the others with the intent of recruiting Legault. Ended up being useless. Oh well. First attempt led to a lot of convoluted blocking to try to grab Legault with Lyn while Eliwood waited to claim the throne (man, that Rapier). It ended up saving me... no turns. So I tried again, and this time Legault decided to head south and run into Eliwood, who talked him onto my side. Awesome! He even had the time to grab the Blue Gem and do some nearly-mortal dueling with the Knight in that room while Eliwood, Dart, and Marcus took Darin out of the picture. Lowen and Florina essentially covered the east end of the map with Serra as back-up and occasionally drawing aggro in order to save Florina's butt from all the archers or sitting on the staircase in the central room to prevent Mercenaries from spawning.
And with that, here's my turncount cards and stats as of the end of Chapter 19. And Elbert's death, it always makes me sad no matter how many times I play this game...

And just for the sake of it, stats at the end of Lyn Mode and as of Chapter 19.
→ The chapter took a few tries to get everything to line up properly-- notably, in order to prevent Ninian from getting picked at by enemy Monks while attempting to pick up some extra supplies, most importantly more Javelins for my lance users and more Iron Swords-- but eventually I got people positioned how they needed to be. Lowen took out the units around the lower corner, even managing to grab the Village there before heading off to do some shopping. Ninian purchased some other supplies, herself, while everyone else stormed to the right. Florina handled some of the wyvern units and a couple of bandits while Legault and Eliwood entertained themselves fighting other brigands and the like so Marcus had the room to run up and draw aggro from Oleg. Legault even had time to take a pitstop at the Arena.
And yes, that screenshot is to show you that the unpromoted Brigand broke the usual HP cap for player characters. What a cheating a*****e. Except that totally isn't, and the HP cap for all classes is 60, not just promoted classes. Oops! My bad.

→ No story caps for this one because I completely forgot to do any story capping while hurrying through this chapter. Oops!
The chapter played out very quickly, though I attempted about three times to play the chapter in a way that would allow Legault to grab the chests in the center-west room. Alas, it was not to be if I wanted to reduce my turncount; I likely would've needed at least four turns, if I'm going to be generous with myself and how the AI operates in this game, to get to the first chest, and another turn for the second if I wanted the 10k as well as the Brave Axe. Sorry, Dart. Your monstrous Strength is just going to have to compensate for your low Speed.
I literally just stampeded everyone south, with Florina taking point in a spot where only one of the enemy Nomads could hit her during the Enemy Phase. Eubans ran up almost immediately and swung at Lowen, so Lowen swung back and after using Dart and Florina to mop up a couple of enemy units, everyone else swarmed on Eubans and immediately took him down.
Feels good, man.

Turncount Lyn Mode: 86 Turncount as of Chapter 21: 179 (93 Eliwood Mode)
→ ...Well, this is awkward.
I completed the chapter, then decided to retry the chapter a few times in an attempt to do so with fewer turns used. I was able to do so, but when I finally managed to complete the chapter, I didn't get 22x; I was booted straight to the Afa's Drops Get screen. So I restarted. I went to check my caps, and...
...I had accidentally overwritten all of my gameplay caps from the successful run. I only still had the turncount cap because I had renamed it so it wouldn't get lost in the shuffle when retrying the chapter.
I. Uh. Oops.
Eliwood went south immediately, in order to recruit Hawkeye, and Dart followed him. He'd need backup to handle all the long-range attackers. Everyone else headed north, though Serra kinda floated absentmindedly between the two areas in case either area needed a (second) healer. Legault, Marcus, Lowen, and Florina took out a number of enemies on the extreme northern side of the map while drawing out the two bosses. Florina then headed further into the map in order to take on the wyverns and mages while everyone else handled Paul and Jasmine. Eliwood eventually moved north to try to link back up to everyone else, but he just couldn't move fast enough in the sand. Dart, Serra, and Hawkeye ended up getting the Ocean Seal.
Oh, and I did also manage to grab the Light Brand, so awesome!
Enjoy some story caps, I guess.
xx xx Eliwood is so achingly fond of Ninian even so soon after meeting her properly and it's really sweet and adorable and I like Eliwood a lot okay

→ Hooray for nearly-free chapters! Or in this case, actually free.
Initially sent to the left was Florina, Legault, Serra, and Dart; Eliwood, Priscilla, Lowen, and Harken went south. They took out their enemies as they went and met in the room where the Sage is sitting above Kishuna. That was about when I started moving south thinking there was a breakable wall down there when there wasn't. Oops.
I ended up having enough turns to get back to Kishuna and beat the chapter within 20 turns, however, so that was a relief. It was a pretty simple matter of sending the newly-promoted Florina ahead of everyone else in order to slay everything ahead while Dart or Lowen mopped up what was left behind. I only ended up getting the Secret Book in favor of saving time, which I think was a good decision in the end; a Silver Blade would be nice, but not wholly useful, and a Berserk Staff would have just been vendor fodder.
Priscilla and Serra also got some needed EXP near the end of the chapter! I hate to promote them so early, but hopefully in a few levels they'll be the murdermachines I know and love.

Eliwood, she's-- she's from Lycia, do you really want her to explain-- uhm, when Lundgren was--
Well, I guess this is less awkward than Lyn asking her where she's from...

Eliwood Hard Mode Draft: Mounted Units Are a Few of My Favorite Things Part Three: Queen Hellene Singing “And She’ll Never be Royal (Royal) ‘Cause It Don’t Run in Guinevere’s Mom’s Blood”
→ The strategy was fairly straightforward. Dart, Marcus, and Serra headed to the east at the southern part of the map in order to grab the central village and do some shopping. Isadora tagged along and sidestepped all the fighting in order to help shop. Everyone else moved north, with Priscilla taking a few turns in the Arena for her efforts. I drew Linus out as quickly as I could, then surrounded him with my units that could deal damage to him without essentially throwing themselves on his blade in the process. Eventually he went down when he wasn't able to hit the lance users for all his efforts.

Too late, Nils! Too late!
→ Gotta wait out the eleven turns, so the plan was to drag out as much EXP from the enemies as I could. Legault stole the Knight Crest to the south-- hey, it's extra gold, too!-- and Priscilla went southwest in order to get the Hammerne from Ursula in the mountain village. Lowen promoted very quickly and ended up being vital against the wyvern riders; they couldn't even deliver any damage to him as he threw Hand Axes around. I managed to get a little EXP for Eliwood, as well, but I had to keep him safe since they were all wielding lances. I did eventually get some Killer weapons, but all in all, it was pretty self-explanatory. I also had Hector Rescue Lyn and Pent do the same for his wife so I'd only have two spots to keep people safe on instead of four.

→ Awwww, yeah, Afa's Drops.
It's been a bit since I played this, but I generally remember my process. Florina Rescued Eliwood and took him north, avoiding the walls until Marcus could slay the entire contents of the first room so she wouldn't be targeted with her Iron Sword on, and Lowen moved up the other side with Legault, Hawkeye, and Serra. Priscilla and Dart stayed to the south in order to kill off the Wyvern Riders and other reinforcements to get some extra experience without clogging up the narrow passageway up towards the main building. Florina dropped Eliwood off for a turn near the opening to the building so he could slay some Wyvern Riders with his Lancereaver, then ferried him closer to Kenneth. Lowen moved with her, skewering any of the Mages that tried to approach him. Lowen and Florina took out Kenneth while Legault grabbed the chests; if I remember right, he obtained the bottom-most and central chests, gaining a Guiding Ring (more vendor fodder) and a Talisman, before Eliwood claimed the throne and they moved on with their lives.

→ Chapter 26 actually took fewer turns to plot out than I thought it would. Killing Ursula and Maxime doesn't end the chapter early, so the biggest thing is to simply get as much done within the confines of the chapter as possible. The spread of EXP given to my units could have been better, but the next chapter will compensate for it amply, I believe.
Serra, Marcus, Hawkeye, and Legault moved to the west, while Eliwood, Priscilla, Lowen, Dart, and Florina moved to the east. I had previously attempted this with Priscilla going to the west and Hawkeye and Marcus to the east, but I needed considerably more firepower along the left hallway, what with the enemy Heroes and all; Dart could go either way and it wouldn't matter greatly. Dart and Serra settled in the hallway where the Shamans would pop up so he could take them down like ducks in a carnival gallery, while everyone else went south. Hawkeye grabbed Jaffar and waited for quite a while, and everyone else forged through the southern room. The Thieves reached all the chests before I did, but they were easily killed off before they could escape, allowing me to claim all of the loot. Zephiel was actually surprisingly capable of handling himself in combat; he was only ever attacked by a Mage, a Shaman, and a Fighter, and the Fighter wasn't capable of actually dealing damage to him and Zephiel struck him twice and finished him off. The magicians, meanwhile, never landed a single blow. Once the hallway was clear, I used Lowen and Marcus to lure Maxime out while trying to minimize damages, since Ursula could lash out with Bolting whenever she wanted. Once that area was clear enough, Florina and Lowen charged south to slay Ursula as soon as possible. The rest of the mages in that southwestern room were pretty easily dispatched of, save for the Druid that seems to not move. While I had Priscilla ferry Nino over to Hawkeye, dropping Nino first and then dropping Jaffar on the next turn-- I couldn't remember if he would try to move towards any remaining enemies and didn't want to risk it-- I moved Legault carefully towards the Luna Druid, waited a turn to allow the Druid to waste a shot on Florina, then swooped in and stole his Earth Seal. Hey, more money, man.
And Eliwood spent half the chapter hanging out in Zelgius' room. 'Sup, your princeliness.

→ Took less finagling than I thought it would. There's no hard-and-fast strategy to be had, here. The chapter had 20 turns available to me, but all of the bridges only appear starting on turn 22. The three upper chests have a Fenrir, Thor's Ire (or at least, one of Ninian's rings), and a Recover, while the central chest has a Speedwings. Therefore, I completely disregarded the upper 3 chests and instead had Legault zip along and steal the Blue Gem from the Hero and wait around in order to steal the Angelic Robe from the Bishop later. Florina went south and preemptively killed both of the Generals with a Lancereaver, then precipitated the theft of the Angelic Robe by rescuing Legault thereafter and hustling him out. Dart was really useful with his high crit rate and with his ability to walk across water in a couple of instances, generally helping to clear the way along with Lowen, while Priscilla showered enemies with white-hot Anima magic from behind. (One of the resets involved having to 'fix' the fact that I accidentally gave her an S in Staffs. Oops.) Eliwood simply charged along on his own, getting a little experience along the way as allotted. Florina took out Sonia while Dart baited out the wyvern units above Sonia's throne room for extra EXP, and I waited a few extra turns to allow for time to ensure there would be no more easy reinforcements to kill and gain more EXP from before letting Eliwood claim the throne and allow Nino to find some closure. Who spent the entire chapter being Rescued around by Jaffar to stay out of trouble.
Gosh, I love gaidens.

This essentially turned into "how many cool crit animation caps can I get in a single chapter?" Gotta love Florina with a Killing Edge. (Which reminds me, why is the crit-high sword called the Killing Edge while every other crit-high physical weapon is a Killer Lance/Axe/Bow? And why are there no crit-high magic tomes? Weird.)

Priscilla and Serra's are calculated to the best of my ability, so they may be slightly off, but it still shows in their normal stats that Serra's kind of faltering while Priscilla is working overtime to turn into a war goddess right out of Valhalla once again.
