He'd flown across the ocean starting early in the morning, and had only arrived early the next morning, exhausted. It wasn't an easy journey, and thus he had found his way to the guest house, checked in, and crashed. He had last made the journey two weeks ago when he had first commissioned the young armssmith to make a new sword for him. The tiny knives he'd always had dangling from his neck were all fine and well and good, but Kichiro had always longed for a sword. Something about a sword felt right. It felt like a sure way to protect himself. Of course, getting a sword was not just some simple task of asking someone. No, he'd gone to the trouble of tracking down a star to teach him sword work, then made the journey to the island. Argument Amusing had agreed to take on his commission, telling him to return--with payment--in a week. That was two weeks ago--it had taken him a long time to get the payment, but here it was at last, some of the last of the summer fruit, as well as several lengths of steel and a long length of undyed leather for her to use in her future work. It had been a heavy burden to carry across the ocean, hence the journey had taken even longer than before.
It was now late in the morning, and he was finally rousing himself. Now was the time to have a chat with the smith and pick up his new weapon. He hoisted the heavy sack on his shoulders and made his way up the mountain to look for the forge.((I'm totally making up the thing about a guest house--it's not official in the herd. If necessary, I'll say Bridgette and Venom Vile run it. Also, sorry for the short post!))

It had been almost a week, not quite, perhaps four to five days. But those dragged on as Aryanna roamed around the many places, talked to other smiths and saw what sights there was to see. Surely there was something more to do around here, right? Well it didn't seem that way as Aryanna stretched those cream colored wings of hers and shook out her white mane. The light from the sun flashed off the sundisc that rested on her headband. Stepping out of the space she had been renting, those green eyes wandered over who ever else was there. Shaking out her robes the best she could to relive them of any wrinkles, the mare moved on.
Stepping outside the rest house, she took in a breath of the warm air before headed out to seek the smith who had taken her commission. As she walked, Aryanna didn't seem to notice the stallion that was close by. When she did finally catch sight of the light brown colored hair, the style. It looked very similar to her fathers. Shaking her head, she dismissed it to just style that was growing amongst the stars. As she continued walking, she took note that the stallion was heading in the same direction that she as. Curious. Tilting her head to one side, she took in the stallion, he was a handsome one, wearing clothing much like herself, but fit more for a stallion. What really through her off was the earring that was on his ear. Now THAT was strange,
'Excuse me, where did you get such a unique earring?" she asked outright, rude and just quite blunt.

Kichiro found his walk to the smith's workshop suddenly not quite so solitary when a cream-winged lyra fell into step beside him. She was quite pretty with her silken robes and fanciful hair disc. The loner hid a smile at the colors of her clothing. He was himself very fond of those shades of purple and light blue, always had been. They just seemed like the nicest color combination to him, and he found that they soothed him. Okay, so she had good taste--and it looked like she also liked decorations that dangled from her clothing and tack. His were crescent moons--hers were stars. There was a celestial theme going on. That was...sort of creepy. If she was going to the same smith's, he would be full-on weirded out.
He flicked the ear in question, feeling the familiar weight of the earring on it. "This?" he said. He shrugged his wing shoulders, feeling the bag shift on his back. "I've always had it, ever since I was a foal. Dunno where it came from." He didn't consider the question to be rude. She'd said "excuse me," which instantly rendered it polite, right? Kichiro, it might be noted, had nothing in the way of social skills. He nodded to her legs, which appeared to be the same color as his wings. "Nice stockings. I've never seen silk that sheer."

He had always had the ear piece? That was strange, only those of her family had such pieces, that she knew of at least. Perhaps there were others out there that had them. Aryanna turned her head away some in thought, he was a strange stallion, while his own dark colored clothing nearly matched her own, while hers were more like skirts, his was more.. Well, manly. Looking back to the stallion a flush of color washed over her face as he spoke of her socks.
"Thank.. you.." She said lowering her head a little. "Pardon my lack of manners, my name's Li Aryanna. Though I am called Aryanna mostly."
Once again she blushed, while she loved her grandfather from her father's side. Sometimes she was ashamed of the idea that he tried to drag her poor father away from her mother. She was told that there was a deep feud between her grandfathers. It seemed a pointless thing, she didn't know why they just didn't get over it and live peacefully.
"So, mind if I ask why you are here? Have you had something crafted?" Natural curiosity tugged at her, she too was here for something. She hoped to see the progress of a sword she had left with a smith.

The mare seemed to blush at Kichiro's compliment, which left the stallion more than slightly flustered. He hadn't meant to sound in any way flirtatious--while this mare was pretty, he had no more intimate interest in her than this conversation. She seemed nice, but he had never been too interested in any sort of non-platonic relationship. Besides family, but family was family, and that would always be gnawing away at Kichiro's heart until the day he was reunited with them once again. But to the matter at hand.
"Li Aryanna, I am Kichiro. I'm here to see about a sword forging." She'd asked, so that gave him free range to explain the whole story, so far as he was concerned. "I used to have a necklace of knives, but I lost them avoiding an attack by a murder. I heard there was an armssmith on this island, so I came here a couple weeks ago to commission a sword. It's finished, so I'm here to pick it up. What about you? Or are you from around here?"Kesmi I forgot to mention, Kichiro thinks that the markings on Aryanna's legs are socks xD He considers it too much of a coincidence that she'd have legs the same color as his wings.

Kichiro, that was a nice name for the stallion, this was Aryanna's assumption. He was handsome too, but she wasn't looking for anything. She was just looking forward to picking up her new sword and returning home to the herd her mother called her own. Bound tail flicking behind her she walked in silence for a bit, pondering over stuff. Kichiro had mentioned that he too was here for a blade. And that he had once had a necklace knives... Knives? her own father had thee knives around his neck. Sharp they were and he knew how to use them in all manners of ways.
"I too am here for a sword. My old sword Demon Slayer was shattered in battle. One of the smiths here has agreed to reforge it into a rapier." Aryanna nodded, eyes forward. "My father has three knives bound around his neck. He had once told me that he had to forge them himself."
A little piece of her history, the ear piece was another. Her own grandfather had such a piece. Perhaps it was... Nah that was silly, she had only a sister... Now. Sora, a lyra like herself who wished to learn magics. Lost in her own thoughts, she didn't realize that she nearly walked into someone else. Muttering an apology she remained beside Kichiro. Giving the stallion a good look over, there was something... Familiar, about him. Like she had known him once before... But that was just silly! Just that feeling wouldn't leave her alone..
"You ever been close to the ground of the Moonlight herd?" Her question comes with a head tilt, trying to piece something together.

"Demon Slayer? That sounds like a broadsword to me. What sort of blade was she?" He could imagine such a blade now--great, powerful, perhaps decorated with wings and stars, much like the mare herself. Or perhaps some sacred symbols to destroy and defeat demons. Yes, he could imagine just such a blade and drew a painting of it in his head. The fact that it looked like the sword he'd designed for himself was mere coincidence, though he'd be lying if he said he wasn't proud of the design he'd given it. No one who ever looked at it would doubt that it was his own sword. He was curious now as to what Aryanna's sword would look like. A rapier? That was a little dinky thing, right? A far cry from a "Demon slayer," but that was her choice. "Why a rapier?" he asked.
"I had my knives for many years, ever since I was a foal. They were throwing knives, I think, but I couldn't really throw them, so I decided to just get something new and useful. Something I could use--so I'm here to collect my longsword. By any chance is your smith Argument Amusing?"
Kichiro frowned at her question. Moonlight... "Can't say I've ever heard of a Moonlight herd. I used to live in a herd, but I don't remember what its name was. Sorry."
