I am having a hard time with the Matron/Patron idea. For years in my practice I worked with the God and Goddess. For the past few months I was very connected to Anubis and Nephthys and admittedly also Oshun, even though she is from a different pantheon. And now I'm confused because I love the Egyptian mythology but find myself attracted to hoodoo and African God/esses and I'm not really sure what to do.

Also, for those of you who have matron/patrons, do you work with the entire pantheon that they are in or just them???

I just stick primarily to the god and goddess... Everyone seems to have different names for them; I know them as Dianu and Dagda. It's interesting to hear different names used and their origins, and how they resonate differently with people. I was always taught and always read that everyone has their own names for them that are right for that particular person, though I do know that many disagree with this.

I also commune with land spirits, though I don't worship them. When I mark the four corners of my circles I typically invite any friendly land spirits who may be present to join in.

I like your name of thinking =] I used to call them Earth Mother and Sky Father before thinking of working with Anubis and Nephthys, and I kind of miss that tbh. I used to be really into shamanism and hoodoo which I know is kinda weird but the way I practice magic is a bit different than most people I talk to.

I like to work with spirits as well, like you said.
