History: Masami's father is a famous actor, both voice and live action. Her mother is a renowned script-writer. Masami grew up an only child with a two-faced mother she considers crazy. That left her to cling to her father, who 'loved her more' with his showering of gifts when he couldn't be around due to his job, appointments, and appearances in public. He hoped to make up with presents what he couldn't give her in time together. An Australian Terrier puppy and a Teacup kitten seemed to be substitution enough for his and her mother's presence. She was never really able to get close to either of her parents, but that never bothered her too much. She couldn't long for something she didn't think anyone else had. Not that she knows parental bonding exists.
Masumi's mother has a charismatic, pleasantly polite side she reserves for her fans. However, she is unhappy with her family situation and hates the publicity. As a writer, she prefers seclusion and isolation to do her work and would be happier in a small house. However, being married to a famous actor, she is constantly hassled by his fans, her fans, the press, and the fear her husband is cheating on her. That leaves little time for her to pay attention to her daughter, whom she had hoped would be a boy. Though she would never admit it, she disapproves of how Masumi is raised and spoiled, but doesn't consider herself a factor in her daughter's life since Masumi is beyond listening to her, let alone obeying her. The writer will not stand to attempt to properly raise a child whom she has to buy things for in order to be heeded. Masumi might have felt neglected if she didn't believe she already exceeded her mother in high-class society's eyes.
Masumi's father does the best he can for his family, but can never find enough time to spend with them. He feels ashamed and frustrated that even with all his good looks he can't please his wife. Cold as she is to him, he's even secretly worried about the press turning away for lack of an interesting story. Personally, he himself is getting slightly bored of his wife's true introverted nature. Neither he nor his daughter has ever experienced the charismatic, false side of her because she has no need to hide her discontent from them. There was some talk of a divorce.
Masumi, on the other hand, seems unfazed.
Personality: 'Masa-chan' is eccentric, flamboyant, sassy, jealous, stubborn, temperamental, and a persistent flirt. She might even be classified as 'Daddy's Little Girl' with her expensive tastes, and 'spoiled brat' might be just a bit of an understatement. Still, it's not as if she's the only one in the whole school who gets whatever she wants. Unfortunately, that temperament has only contributed to the belief that 'getting whatever she wants' includes people too. In Ouran, it seems, money and fame go a long way. She hasn't been proven wrong yet.
It is rumored that she is of a secretly conniving nature and uses her movie star family prestige as bait for boys and students she needs to get close to. It seems she doesn't need any more connections than she has already due to her star status, but most of all, the girl is an attention-seeker. Due to her parents' neglect, it's hardly surprising to those who know her well enough.
However, since the new kid from Saitama dropped in, Masami's had her sights set on him and him alone. Unlike her past crushes, she has as of yet been unable to approach him personally, but she's certainly gotten close. She will not admit to membership of any fan club, though that's probably only to prevent other boys from thinking she's taken. However, subtle teasing from her girl friends has recently built so that she can't stand acting shy around him anymore, as shy is the last thing she wants to appear to him as. Convincing herself he's just another boy, Masami hopes to confess her crush to Kusanagi sometime soon.
The mention of commoners drive her insane. She can't stand the thought of them unless the are adoring public. However, she doesn't have any interest in how they live in their 'poor' society. Masami isn't keen on learning anything about them. Class C and D students to her are nearly just as bad.

Appearance: Petite and slender, with her daddy's movie star looks and her mother's natural charisma. Some people dote on her as a 'pixie' due to her small, frame and dainty but refined features that give her a certain 'sweet but sassy' look. Wears brand-name designer clothes, a moderate amount of make-up, and often carries her puppy and kitten around in her bag with her.
