The only thing I know that my money will be useful for is for like Christmas in crap, since I have nothing better to do with it.

That's a lie. You can continue to save it and/or invest in your future. A business, a class, a tool, an inspirational/educational book...

don't you have student loans to pay off?
Also you may want to save it, start a savings account so you can have money when you retire, or to put a down payment on a house or buy a car. Many things you may need in the future.

Yeah I have to repay my student loans starting in late January. But my mom said that her friend Cherry works for 11$ an hour and 40 hours a week, and she only has to pay like 75$ a month for her student loans. So since I only work for minimum wage at only like 24 hours a week, mine would be much lower. So yeah. I can't defer my loans again since the last 2 times I deferred was because I was unemployed, but I am not unemployed anymore. But I could probably only have to pay like 40-50 or so, since I have a crap job in stuff. And my parents may be able to pay it, since they pay Blaine's and Brandons. in stuff. That's what they promise. So I dunno. I can't defer again since I have a job, so I have to call them to see if I can lower my payment to like only 50 bucks a month, since I can afford that.

The faster you pay off your loans the better.
If you end up not needing very much of your money you can pay off more of your loans or less of them.

Nah, I will probably be able to lower it to like only like 50ish or something a month. Then my parents will take over since that is what they promised. O.O

If your parents are paying it, great. If not, then you should try to pay it off in a big chunk if you can. Because if you only pay $50 a month it'll take 10 years and over that time you'll have paid twice as much as the initial debt because of interest.

Well how do you think most of us feel? my parents already pay like 170 a month for one of my brothers. And mine should be less than 50 since I only work 20-24 hours a week, so yeah. My mom's friend earns 11$ an hour and works 40 hours a week and only has to pay like 70 bucks a month for her student loan payments.

Aoi the Crossdresser KazeRin If your parents are paying it, great. If not, then you should try to pay it off in a big chunk if you can. My mom's friend earns 11$ an hour and works 40 hours a week and only has to pay like 70 bucks a month for her student loan payments. Yeah, you can pay pretty small amounts per month. But every month you accumulate interest. So if you only pay $50 a month on a $ 10,000 loan, at a low interest of 3% annually... you'll still owe $9,826 at the end of the year because you're accumulating $36 in interest every month. So you'll have given $600 to the bank, but only have taken ~$175 off the debt. But if you pay $100/month, you'll have it down t $9212, meaning you've spent $1,200 this year, and taken ~$785 off the debt. -Paying $50/month, you lose about 70% of it to interest. -Paying $100/month, you lose about 35% to interest. (Even @100/mth would take over 10 years and you'd spend an extra $3,500 in interest)

Yeah but I dunno what will happen. I have to call them or access the website when the new year starts, to see if I can lower the payment, so my parents can pay for it or something. So yeah, I can't defer again, because the only reason why I have deferred my payment was cuz i was unemployed, I am not anymore. I work at Dollar General and earn around 600ish a month now, and I could still sub to, so yeah. We will have to see. Cuz even after Xmas, I still have over 1200$ in my account.
