She sat on the very edge of the dock, legs swinging out into open air as she looked across the partially frozen lake. Snowflakes fluttered down around her, landing softly on her bright purple jacket, fading into nothingness as they warmed up. Her ears were folded back, listening without meaning to; sometimes her hearing was a gift and a curse. Her little wings, always so cold to the touch, vibrated as she hummed a soft little song, lilting and almost sad though she wore a smile on her face. Papa had been...off lately. Distant, quiet. Not himself and it made Xanax worry. She loved Papa because he was her dad and her best friend. But lately Papa had been thinking about someone else, with that faraway look in his blue eyes, and Xannie wished, more than anything else, she could make him happy again.

 Today, Well today was a good day, not as if all days with Tru weren't. He was always happy, his feet moved over the snow and he was happy that at least he was going to get his room again... well if he could find his dad, which he was having a really hard time doing since the last time he saw the other he was nothing more than a wee kit. He passed the doc and barely notices the little feme sitting on the doc but it clicked in his head, "Holy crap." He rumbled to himself and he backed up, stepping in something sticky before he walked over to the unknown fox. He was shaking the sticky substance off his back paw as he looked at the other. " Hi, I'm Tru... You look like my dad." He blurted out with out even thinking about it, although growing up with you mom and her little Tuknu (s**t I don't know how to spell it rn I'll fix it) It was hard to remember that you needed to have manors around others. While he was a big grown fox, Tru truly acted like a child.

Xanax heard everything, every little movement of the birds in the barren trees, and then...footsteps. Her heart picked up speed, daring to hope it would be Elivan. God, she hadn't seen him in so long. But how would he know to find her here? He wouldn't. She turned and jumped to her feet, straightening up when she saw the other. Not like she could miss him--he was right ******** THERE and so bright he almost blinded her. She grinned wide, loving all of the colors and everything about him and that little pony tail and the rainbows and, "Oh my god, you're darling!" she squealed out loud, her voice low and husky, yet almost childish. She did a little dance around the stranger. "I look like your dad? You look like MY dad! All the colors! I love them. So bright, so shiny!" She reached for his hands and flapped her little wings, which made a whistling sound she flapped so hard. "I--" a lengthy pause, as if waiting for an imaginary drumroll, "Am Xanax. And you are?"

Darling? What was darling? The blue fox did reach out a green paw and shook hers, " I told you already, I'm Tru." Mom taught him not to talk to strangers, but how could you be strangers with someone when you introduced yourself first? You couldn't and thus he could have all of the friends he wanted, He was still vigorously shaking her hand as he spoke. " My name is actually Hi Strung but my momma's too lazy to say all that and she just calls me Tru." He told the other, he was proud of his name and he finally stopped shaking her arm now, " T-r-u ist from strung, s-T-R-U-n-g." He was inspecting her now, and the more he looked at her the less he was sure she looked like his dad, she was the right color and she had the right spots, but those eyes, and her big ears, that threw him off a little. And those wings, they were way different from his bright and obnoxious wings, which he stretched. "Its nice to meet you Xanax. I like your wings." He was kind of envious, they were different and cool and here he was with wings. They were just normal, blah. But he shook himself stopping thinking about how much he wanted different ones. "Are we friends now?"

Xanax laughed. Oh...derp, he HAD told her his name. "Oh, sorry. I just get so excited I can't contain myself!" She ducked her head and blinked her eyes, all four sets of them, pupilless and large though they weren't lacking emotion. She was pure whimsical happiness at the moment. New people just cheered her up! "Ohhh, I see!" she said as he explained his name. "Well then, Tru, I like it. My papa named me and my older sister after drugs." She gave a soft laugh turned snort. "But I hate her." And just like that, her emotion went from happy to pissy, the wind around her form picking up like a storm blowing in, ruffling her long hair. She pressed her eyes shut and backed up a step, trying to ward off the chaos inside of her, begging to come out. "No..." she whispered, gathering all her strength to shove the demonic powers back down. "I-I'm sorry. I get too emotional and sometimes I hurt people..." She looked down at her feet. "But I DO hate her. She's snobby and mean and..." She sighed. "She hated me first."

Oh well, seeing her tense and upset seemed to crush Tru's mood a little bit, he frowned as he watched her and listened to the words that fell from her mouth, tilting his head back and fourth a little and he shook his head at her. " Momma says hate is evil and you don't ever hate anyone, you'd just much rather live without them..." and he pilled ears to his head and against his stripped horns, how could someone hate their siblings? that didn't even register in his mind, he loved Val with all his little heart no matter what. "Just, Don't let her get you down... you're too pretty for that." and maybe he didn't mean it like that but the words did drop out of his mouth and he flicked his tail. " okay?" He was smiling again, seemingly from ear to damn ear as he watched the smaller female with all her eyes and there went his ADD again. " Do you see a bunch of things or just one big world?"

Xanax watched him with rounded eyes, her ears folding back against her head even as her little fluff of a tail twitched. "I...never thought of it that way I guess?" she said, tipping her head to the side. She just knew that Valium loathed her very existence...and after all of Val's picking and prodding and hurtful words, Xanax knew she didn't like her.
"Okay," she agreed with a firm nod and a smile, ducking her head at his compliment...strange how one rainbow fox could call you hideous and the next call you pretty. At his wide grin, she laughed aloud. "Um... I don't know? I mean, I still see and I see things from all my eyes. But I guess...one big picture?" She grinned. "You're silly, Tru. So...who do I remind you of again?" She placed her fingers by her mouth, nibbling on her nails a bit, shrugging against the wind.

He liked that she seemed to relax a little bit and she didn't seem to be very disrupted by his compliment, good. He smiled at her expliantion of how she sat the world, at least it gave him a bot of insight to how she saw the world and in his mind he imagined that to be the coolest way to see the world, because you could probably see every thing at once, but Xanax easily distracted him with her new question, he didn't have much brain to keep his mind on track.
"My dad... He's almost that color but not really, and some blackish on top... " he was so terrible at explaining this kind of thing he hoped he was giving her a good idea. "but he has your spots and he has leg thingies too." Tru didn't know what they were called but that didn't matter she got the point right?
