Strange Gestures and Obsessions: Details. Details. Details. Sayuri is always calculating. Everything people say and every response she gives is carefully thought over. Therefore, she likes when people say what they mean. However, brooding over everything can be exhausting, which has always seemed to lead to her playing the piano to ease her mind.
Overall Personality: Generally, Sayuri appears calm and reserved. Raised to have exceptional manners, she is always poised and gives of an air of elegance. Making friends is not the easiest thing for her to accomplish since she worries about the effect of the things she says to people. This is due to the constant pressure from her family to make the best impression of herself to everyone. However, to people that she's known for a while, she is able to relax more into her natural self and let her guard down.
Social Life
History: Sayuri was born and raised in Japan. Her family is extremely wealthy due to her father's work as a pharmaceutical researcher and developer. Sayuri attended school at Ouran Academy until the beginning of junior high. Her father moved the family to the United States for his job because the research equipment and facilities he needed to continue his project were of superior quality. There she attended the best private schools money could buy and she became fluent in English. After a few years spent there, her father finished developing the medications he was making for the Ootori zaibatsu, and they moved back to Japan where she was re-enrolled at Ouran Academy to finish high school.
Hobbies: Sayuri loves playing classical piano, ballroom dancing, and running.
Primary School, Middle School, and Extra-School Activities: Sayuri attended Ouran Academy until she moved to the United States where she attended the top private schools in the area. She attends private piano lessons after school.
