Hi,
My name is Angelique and I'd very much like to become a vegetarian or even vegan, but unfortunately I have anemia (mainly because I was raised as a vegetarian - lack of iron and protein that features mainly in meat). I know some of you would not welcome me here as full-heartedly as you would a real veg*an, but please keep an open mind and help me to overcome this obstacle?
Thank you for constructing such a wonderful guild. I truly look forward to meeting and conversing with you.

Hello m i s s Rieux, I can not say I am fully vegetarian myself as I am still new to the concept. I was also raised as a non-vegetarian. So please do not worry. You are not alone.

Hi, Thank you for the welcome. What made you decide to go veg*n?Well I've never really been a huge fan of eating meat, usually I would eat chicken or fish since they didn't have alot of blood and didn't taste so much like metal to me. I know it sounds strange but I've never liked the taste.

Anemic iron deficiencies are related to not getting enough vitamin C, our bodies need the vitamin C to absorb the iron.
Vegans and vegetarians typically have healthy iron levels, because we eat more fruits and veggies, which contain vitamin C.
Theres a great reason to go veg!
